The Deck and Patio Company went above and beyond all of our expectations. From the start of the project, Tom helped make the process so easy for us. He made several trips out to our home to walk us through our options, and he even provided us with a mock up of our exact deck at no extra charge. Once we settled on a design, Martin and Jed came out to make sure everything was perfect before construction began. The craftsmanship displayed by Jaime and his crew was second to none. These guys were working hard from dusk til dawn and finished our deck in just 4 days! Martin was in constant contact with us making sure we were updated on the progress, and more importantly he would make a point to make trips on site to guarantee everything was going smoothly. You can tell that a lot of time, energy, and care goes into their work, and it shows through the beautiful finished product. We have already received so many compliments on our new deck, and we would recommend TDAPC to anyone wanting a beautiful outdoor space for anytime of the year!

Tom, Martin, Jedd, and crew were very professional, courteous, and punctual on this project for my wife and I. We reached out to TDAPC to design and build a patio cover for my existing slab in my backyard with very little idea of what I actually wanted. Tom put together several detailed 3-D models based on my house for different style, sizes, and price points to help us decide. The quality of the final product is exactly what was designed. We are very satisfied with the level of quality we received.

The Deck and Patio Company built us a wonderful outdoor space. Our project was precipitated by the rotting out of a critical beam in our upstairs master bedroom balcony. Martin Sullivent worked with us to not only replace the failed balcony, but to redesign it to incorporate an adjacent pergola, complete with fireplace, stone planters, sidewalk, and pony wall. In working with him over the ensuing months, we became impressed by his attention to detail and his concern for quality of craftsmanship. Our patio faces a slope down to a lake shore, and Martin's team poured a structural foundation for our patio to guarantee against erosion and sinking. The beams of the pergola are solid and sturdy, lending not only an attractive appearance, but also strength and durability. His team carefully designed placement of our fireplace in the corner of our patio to enhance and complement the view of the lake. During the design phase of the project, Martin encountered constraints resulting from the existing structure. For example, the rise between our existing patio and the patio door jamb was insufficient to allow for pavers. Martin worked with us to present alternatives that would meet our objectives, such as leaving the surface as brushed concrete, staining the concrete, or doing a stamped concrete overlay; we opted for the latter. In each case, Martin was careful to share with us the pros and cons of the various solutions. Every time we have a party, it's a BLAST! (we do it often) and we love having people over because they all enjoy it as much as we do. We strongly recommend the Deck and Patio Company to people looking to invest in a quality project to enhance their outdoor living experience.

Excellent. This is my second project with Martin Sullivent and it went exactly as contracted and described. I would highly recommend this company. Very honest, great communication throughout the process and excellent craftsmanship. I will not hesitate to hire again in the future.

We first hired Deck and Patio to build a new back yard deck with a pergola cover and walkway back in 2015. They showed us pictures from a variety of their past jobs and their references were so impressive that we also hired them to build a stone firepit off the deck, and added accent lighting along the walkway and deck. The finished work was so impressive that we are still (even today) getting comments from guests and even other service people that our back yard is so beautiful, a great place to relax—and they are right. It was not without some glitches along the way—for example, the firepit did not drain off the rain water properly at first. Unpredictable events like this occur with every job, but the difference with this company is that Martin is so attentive and so focused on customer service—they actually stayed with it until the problem was solved, and it has never occurred since. We cannot talk long about Deck and Patio without also referring also to the high level of workmanship and professionalism shown by the work crew. One of these, Charlie Fick, is particularly worthy of comment. A master painter, he takes the time to assess the needs of a job, including not just the color and tone of the paint itself, but the character of the wood and the way it takes the paint. Like Martin, he returns to check the quality of his work and measures it against a high standard. If he is not pleased with the result, he will repeatedly revisit the issue. He told me once that he looks at our place as if it were his own. Finally, our satisfaction with this company is so absolute that we are even discussing a regular program of maintenance in the future for the lighting system, pergola, stonework, and painting. The project was difficult and the craftsmanship was beautiful . They take great care in what they do and the outcome was perfect. Martin went back to the quarry 3 times to find fieldstone that matched perfectly. We didn’t have to ask! They also did our outdoor lighting and had great advice on placement and style. They created an outdoor space that we use daily and feel like we are on vacation every time.

It was great. I had the initial meeting. Then when the job started, I was given advice about the project. They worked with me about price as well. Then during the job, two sides of my fence fell during a storm and again they worked with me for the best quality for the best price. I would indeed hire them again.

Martin with The Deck and Patio Company came out gave me an estimate on concreting my patio. Very reasonable price. His crew performed the entire job in one day!!! It looks beautiful and will last forever!!! My neighbors are very complimentary on the work!!! Martin also supervised the entire job!!! I LOVE IT!!!!

The Deck and Patio Company is the absolute best! From the sales to the build process, working with people who are passionate and love what they do is awesome. Martin and Jed are extremely knowledgeable about all their products and services and answered every question we had. They ask us what we wanted and listened and offered suggestions. They showed us product available; allowing us to make a well informed decision on the design we wanted for our deck. They also told us as well as gave in writing what to expect each step of the way; from down payment, to progress payments, to the final check. From demo to completion, their trade man were excellent and very precise in their work. They took the time to do it right the first time. The job site was always cleaned and organized at the end of each day. They were also very approachable if I had any questions. We went through many weather delays and some holidays, but in the end, it was well worth the wait. I highly recommend the TDAPC team. Thank you Martin, Jed and the TDAPC build team! We love our New Balcony Deck and covered patio area!!

It went as expected. Sullivent was communicative every step of the way and was always available for questions. Sullivent was always concerned about needs and consulted on items that their experience was valuable.

Sullivient Services handled a warranty repair to the beautiful work they did a couple of years ago. They have an excellent staff and stand behind their products and handiwork. They are amazing!

I had this service done in the last quarter of 2017, so I've had some time to live with it. In short the team was incredible to work with and I ended up with a fantastic covered patio that has been a truly wonderful addition to my home.

Very professional design approach; quality of crews exceptional; won't be lowest bid, but if expectation is to have highly detailed craftsmanship utilizing quality products, and that your project is executed with professional installation expertise, then would highly recommend Sullivent Services.

The work was done in very quick time, they were very prompt,and professional. They can back and repaired some splitting boards. I would recommend them to anyone, looking for any kind of wood work.

Very well. Although a little pricey these guys did a great job. The "pricey" came from using higher quality material, and taking a little more time to do things right. Things that I have had to continually maintain, are now working perfectly. I trust Martin completely and will use him again when the time comes.

Representative listened to our needs and came back with outdoor plans for our backyard living area. The sample photos of work company did were impressive. The design reflected our desires and I am very happy with the Angie's List deal. My budget for job precludes hiring company again though.

I was extremely impressed with the honesty and integrity of the company in analyzing my project and alerting me that due to several complexities involved, the cost to do the project would be more than my budget allowed or made sense to do. Not many companies would be this honest. I have complete confidence that the company wants to deliver the best customer experience for their clients when a project is undertaken.

Tom Ruddell ,sales manager, was initial company contact and stayed with me up to actual construction:.worked thru scheduling and detail design and quotation issues. VERY easy to work with and very professional. Returned calls/email in a very timely fashion. Tearing out and rebuild not a normal project for Company:: usually build from scratch or tear out completely and then totally rebuild. They did a super job with this project:. Pillars had no damage whatsoever, the superstructure fit with existing column bracket holes, no damage to flagstone patio floor and plants very close to work area were not damaged (the latter an obsessive priority). Construction start was critical and they honored it. Worked with owner during construction: Martin Sullivent. He is quality and safety driven of which we share the same passion. Easy to work with and came up with a creative solution ( and safer) location for electrical switch and outlet. Installed owner purchased fan and all electrical to the building: this was the only portion subcontracted and I would hire the electrician again on ANY project. (Electrical was already physically at the building but wiring at the building completely new.) Martin was a hands on project manager and very quality oriented..Workman ship FAR exceeded expectations: rounded corners everywhere, hid the electrical lines; replaced lumber- no charge -that they thought not highest quality enough; all treated lumber with exceptional grain qualities, etc. Two very hard workers who were easy to be around and clearly knew what they were doing/accomplished carpenters.. Stain by others. Otherwise, "turn key". I spoke to four companies regarding this project. Sullivent Services was NOT the low bidder but they were competitive. They were chosen because (1)they were the most professional and thorough regarding the bidding process, (2) they clearly had the design capability better than others (3) they had more creative use of wood in their proposal.(4) they were very sensitive to my priorities/concerns. Overall i would hire them again for another project.. .

After my original review, Martin went above and beyond to make things right. He was very professional and spent a great deal of time going over the options, as relates to my budget. The workers were very friendly and conscientious about work quality and cleanliness. They went to great lengths to ensure that they didn't damage my yard and landscaping.

The sales and construction went very well. The time frame from start to finish could have been better, but all the craftsmanship and services were great. Project included: 12X12 concrete patio finished out with flagstone top to make a seamless transition to the existing patio. Wood pergola with a clear top to make the pergola weatherproof. Outdoor kitchen and bar matching the existing brick, granite counter tops, gas grill cooktop, stainless storage and storage doors, and a stainless outdoor refrigerator. The project also included a gas line and electrical run from the garage.

I have a very small yard. Tom responded to my initial email thru their website on the same day. We set up a meeting for a few days later. He was very honest and said that due to the amount of trees and yard size, hardscaping would be scattered and wouldn't work for me. He was the fastest responding of landscapers I had contacted, set an appointment within just a couple of days, and was on time. On top of that, instead of a hard sell, he was honest. If I ever needed a work in another house, I'd call them immediately.

Very well. It took longer than I expected, but weather and the holidays played a role in this too.

It was like a root canal. The finished product is outstanding. The process to get there - painful. If you know exactly what you want, what materials you want to use and what colors, it will be easy for you. We wanted to hire an expert who would offer his expert opinions. Sullivent's response to any request for advice was "it's your choice". It started out poorly when Sullivent cut the gas line to our emergency generator. This was after I showed pictures of the line installation and repeated warnings. The line was also marked with metallic tape. For some reason, Sullivent thought I should pay to have it repaired. Eventually they accepted responsibility and repaired it. If you use Sullivent, I recommend that you follow up every conversation with a written recap of the conversation and what Sullivent said they would do. Otherwise you will be vastly disappointed and Sullivent will have had a different understanding of the conversation. Like I said, we are very happy with the finished product!! It was just very difficult getting there.
