The name says it all. Very nice folks. Joby actually listened to what I wanted (a VERY refreshing change from Broadview.) We live in a house built in 1928 and we are VERY particular of workmanship concerning our house. Joby installed the system above my own standards. I'd use them again in a heartbeat. Let me take just a moment and tell you of my experience with Broadview / Brinks. We are doing a MAJOR renovation on our house and were out of the house for 5 months. No electricity or water. Even though the alarm system finally ran out of battery power, not ONCE was I contacted by Broadview to see what the problem was. The systems are suppose to be tested on a regular basis by Broadview. When we got back into the house and turned the power back on I called Broadview / Brinks to come and give an estimate to upgrade the system. The price was not only too high BUT THEY CHARGED ME $90 FOR THE ESTIMATE. Not only that but since they have been bought buy Brinks nobody knows anything about you or your account. I found Friendly Security on Angies List and can HIGHLY recommend them.

Joby and Judy, the owners, came out and activated my system and fixed a few things to get it in shape. The name is accurate -- they are friendly, not like a big, impersonal company. It's clear they'll treat me like a person, not a number. Joby discovered that my digital phone had never been attached to a separate phone line, which was supposed to be done by the cable company, and was going to check back after it was done to hook me up with the monitoring center. But he got through with his other clients early, so he came back and installed the line himself. He walked me through all the steps to arm and disarm my system, and then gave me a test to make sure I knew how. I couldn't ask for a better experience.
Description of Work: The company activated an existing alarm system that had been disabled and ran a phone line necessary for the system to be connected to the monitoring center. I found the company on Angie's List, so the installation was free. I paid $24.95 for the first month of monitoring.

I recently had a security system installed by these folks. It included two motion detectors, glass breaks, etc. They were careful to give me honest information about the pros and cons of each and did not try to sell me extras that I didn't want or that wouldn't work well for my situation. The installation took several hours and they paid careful attention to the aesthetics where they needed to drill and install. They are also careful to clean up any resulting mess as they go. I wish all services/installations were this pleasant and effective. They have also been GREAT about helping me with miscellaneous questions I've had since installation. The monitoring service has been excellent too. I've set the alarm off myself twice. They have called right away and been very nice. Incidentally, the fact that I called and immediately got a human (a very friendly and knowledgeable one!!) was a huge plus.
Description of Work: I had a security system installed. No existing wiring was present in my 1920s home so they had to start from scratch. Their basic installation package included 3 doors (as opposed to 2 for other companies I checked) and motion sensors. I added four glass breaks and a couple of other extras.
