Well, first of all he is very unprofessional and rude. If you have any questions for him that he doesn't want to discuss, he just hangs up on you. Also, he tries to include extra items that were not agreed to up front. As for the quality of the work, literally every single thing he did for us has subsequently failed. Both dimmer switches failed (one because he put an incandescent dimmer on a CFL circuit; one because he put a 600W dimmer on a circuit running a 720W foyer light). The backing of outside boxes have fallen off exposing live wires because he used incorrect screws for outdoor work. The low voltage lighting he "fixed" stopped working within a few weeks. Qualified electricians who have inspected some of his work have told me that some of the things he did were very unsafe and could have caused a fire in my home. In summary, he is incompetent and/or lazy, as well as unprofessional, rude, and even childish. Oh and he charges too much. Hopefully this guy is out of business by now but if not STAY AWAY.
Description of Work: He did a job for us including about 10 items. Some work with outside boxes and low voltage lighting; installing a light inside; installing a couple of dimmer switches.

His price didn't shock me. I think it is a home owned business and he has two or three people that work for him. He is really personable, nice, good and he does what he says he is going to do. I will use him again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Love Electric for electrical needs.

The techs were friendly, but slow. It was my impression they were running the clock. I didn't realize the significance of this until I was charged $360.00 for labor. That comes to $120.00 an hour for the three hours of "work" as they shopped for parts, installed one outlet below the junction box, and discovered a faulted GFI. I contacted the shop owner, Bill Love, the following day, but he seemed baffled by my complaint. Maybe $120.00 an hour is an honest wage for electricians, I don't know? But he offered me a $100.00 refund anyway. I told him that I would rather have a finished job, and as he conferred with the tech who did the job, he hung up on me. I wish I had used Angie's List first.
Description of Work: I requested assistance with repairing an outside outlet and the installation of a 220 outlet in my garage so I could power my shop equipment. Two techs arrived at 0815, quickly assessed the job requirements, and departed for a nearby hardware store to purchase the parts. They returned about an hour later with a 220/15A plug, but my shop equipment required a 220/20A plug - which they knew before they left to the store. They said they would return to the store to purchase the correct (20A) plug, but then decided to go ahead and install the 15A plug anyway. When I saw that they installed the 15A plug, the lead tech told me I could step down to a 15A plug on the male end of the extension cord.
