They came a day later than originally scheduled due to some problems. Charlie, who usually supervises the jobs was ill and not able to work outside. Also they were very busy due to having so much work because of the Angie's List promotion. I usually do my own sprinkler work. However I had two old broken valves for which I could find no replacement parts. Village Green said it would be necessary for them to replace the valves. I agreed to have them do the work because of their good reputation. I didn't expect that it would take 3.5 hours however. The reason was that the valves were in a location that they said was more difficult than that in which they usually work and it was an older system than those they usually see. Also the workman, Hugo, while very efficient and competent, was feeling ill that day. After the work was completed the system worked well. After they left I spent another three hours fixing up the well where the valves were located and the surrounded area, as well as adjusting the system. I chose to do it myself to save $95 an hour. The charge for valves was $56 each, though similar Rainbird valves are available for about $17 at Home Depot. The worker, Hugo, apparently neither spoke nor understood English, which might concern some people.

From start to finish the crew was very professional and courteous and did the job in record time. I felt that this service was well worth it. I will be using Village Green and recommending them to all my friends and neighbors. Thanks much Charlie and Keith.

Pre-service was great, service was performed on time and a great value. Very nice people, and did an excellent job. I used a coupon from Angie's list and saved on the first hour of labor. The total cost of $167 includes the coupon. They were here for 2 hours, and everything works great now. Highly recommend this firm.

Everything went turned out good with this company. There prices were very reasonable for the quality of work you receive. They were on time to the job as well. I would use this company again.

Preservice customer service was excellent. Service individuals pleasant, hard-working.

The tech completed the job in about a hour. He was very nice and professional. My one complaint is time managment. The appoinment was for Wednesday afternoon and I had to call them to inquire why I had not received a call about a delay. They apoligized and put me on the schedule the next day. The tech's professionalism made up for their time managment lapse.

I thought it was a sprinkler leak. The guy who came out found a leak coming into the main hose from the street. He dug approximately 5 feet down to find it. I saw the leak and it was very pronounced. He fixed the leak. I had a good experience with them. They were very communicative. They were punctual. I would use their service in the future too.

I'm a CA to TX transplant, recently divorced, and uncertain whom to trust. Tx befuddles me, especially the weather. I contacted Ken through Angie's List. He came to my home, listened to my concerns and made suggestions that fit my budget and goals. He identified all plants on my property, pointed out poison ivy and cost-effective means to treat it. Needless to say, Ken knows his business, is very personable, and really listens. He also provides on-the-mark suggestions. Which leads me to Charlie, who with another guy (forgive me, I don't recall his name) came to check my sprinkler system and set up. Charlie was wonderful, immediately identified problem sprinkler heads and flow problems and pipe leaks, asking prior which I wanted serviced. I said all and was really amazed that the total cost was so low. They repaired a major water leak, replaced sprinkler heads, repositioned another head and ensured all systems covered appropriate areas and that the automated system was set up properly. Everyone was very professional, courteous and kind.

I just happened to be checking out my sprinkler system and noticed that one of the heads was just gushing water(the center portion that pops up had come out). Ironically at the same time Angie's List was offering a deal at the same time with Village Green, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to find out about them(note the price I quoted is what it would have been without the discount). I contacted them and we setup an appointment for the following Friday at around 12:30. On that day I was called and asked if they could show up earlier(about 10am) which was not a problem for me. Charlie and "Ugo"(sorry man, I am not sure how to spell your name) showed up--very friendly guys BTW--and I pointed out what needed to be and we turned on the sprinkler system so they could look at ALL the heads and stations not just what I needed done. So they replaced the one broken head that I had, but Charlie also pointed out 4 spots where my sprinkler head really wasn't the right type for the area I had so they replaced the 4 others too(this will save some on water). And finally, they adjusted some of the other sprinkler heads to give them a better spray pattern over the yard. You would think this would take a long time to do, but they were done in about an hour. And I am very happy with the results. While talking with Charlie, I found out about some of the other services their company provides including landscape fertilization/weed control plus landscaping work. I plan on contacting them about some landscape work in the near future...though as I explained to Charlie since I had hail damage to my roof this may be a bit later. Thanks a bunch guys!

I had a broken sprinkler head (lawn mower mishap) at the time Village Green sprinkler service was being offered as a deal on Angie's List. The timing was right, so I went for it. Charlie tried contacting me right away, but I went out of town for a couple of weeks. I called when I got back and was able to schedule an appointment for two days later. The appointment was for between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., and I was told I would get a call when they were on the way. The call came at 9:30 and they were here before 10. The repair work was done in no time, and my system was deemed to be in good shape. I was advised to increase my watering during the summer months, and they were on their way. Since I got the Angie's list deal I can't really vouch for the pricing, but I can say I was pleased with the service.

The first time they came they left the gate open to back yard. I have 3 dogs that could have gotten out. I did not notice the open gate for 24 hours as I am handicapped and do not go on the side of the house. They did do an excellent job on my lawn.

We were very pleased: ~ they called the night before to confirm the appointment ~ they did a check of all sprinkler heads and how many needed to be replaced ~ they told us of three that had underground problems and that they could fix them while they were there ~ they finished in a very short amount of time ~ we were very pleased with the service

Had a bad valve (dead zone) that I had dug up the previous Saturday and it needed replacing. Got to these guys via the AL Big Deal (timely eh) and they were able to come out the next day (I spoke with the scheduler mid day the 22nd and he said he'd call me back - true to his word he did but I missed him, I called him, missed him, he called again, I missed him...finally got him about 7p that night and we setup the appt...level of effort on his part to contact me was encouraging).Charlie (scheduler and job site super) were set to arrive at 1p but he was running late on an earlier job so he called about 1215 to let us know it would be about 2p. We got another call from him about 155p telling us they were on the way and should be about 15 mins (arrive at 210p, excellent updates/communication).We had spoken on the phone about running the whole system (9 zones) to see how it is and we agreed they'd go ahead and fix the known 1 bad zone and look at another I thought was bad as well.Turned out I had 2 bad zone valves (both repaired and the 2nd one I couldn't even find, they located it), and another zone that had bad pressure that turned out to be a cracked pipe due to a fence post concrete setting (previous knucklehead owner).Also had to swap a couple of heads to even some watering/fix coverage.Total time was just under 3 hours and the Big Deal saved me a bit off that first hour.Their prices are right in-line with most of the better companies out there for our area which aren't great IMHO but also aren't totally that bad either. We have a LOT of sprinkler companies here and I've used a few of them and I think these guys certainly had the best communication of any of them and their work was excellent...all the zones work and they even tweaked a few of the heads gratis as they were working the whole system.I would definitely use them again.

Village Green Lawn was hired from Angie's List for the Big Deal. They have been good thus far, they have suggested thing that I need to do: 1) Trim back the trees so there is more sun for the St. Augustine 2) Cut back the installed St. Augustine from the tree roots to prevent damage to the roots.

The work done was excellent, and the springler system has performed flawlessly. We are very pleased. They did a good job of explaining the operation and programming of the system. The sprinkler coverage is just right, with no areas that are missed.

Everything went well. The sod in the front yard looks great, and the grass in both front & back looks thicker/healthier with these fertilizer treatments than it did with treatments from a company we used previously (or the fertilizer we bought & spread ourselves). Very happy, would definitely use again.

I was very happy with the job done by them. They did a good job. They did the work while we were out of town. I am overall very pleased by them. They are not cheap and will not budge too much from their prices. You get what you pay for with them and a 1 year guarantee. If something that they planted dies in that year, they will come back and fix it.

We were extremely happy with everything. Before we found this company, we had used two other irrigation companies, and by far Village Green did the best job. They were able to come out within a few days, and the representative was knowledgeable and conscientious. We will definitely use them again.
