 + 1 moreThe level of service is extraordinary. They always call in advance of the appointment - a day or so before and the morning of. They were always on time or early, such a plus for my busy schedule. I had to move the date of the aeration initially. Keith, the owner, personally called me to recommend we move again the date for aeration because of the recent rains. During the repair appointment, Darryl walked me through the mechanics of the sprinkler system control panel and showed me a few tips that will help me manage my water usage this summer. He has the expect knowledge about the systems and settings to get the most out of the sprinkler system. I will definitely use them again!
Description of Work: I purchased a sprinkler system assessment and analysis from Angie's List's Big Deal because of the good reviews of Village Green. I am so glad I did! After the assessment, Village Green aerated the lawn, then a few days later performed the sprinkler repairs. At the assessment, Village Green marked the sprinkler heads needing replacement, and we marked the remainder prior to aeration. The assessment showed that a line was ruptured, that the computerized rain sensor had been damaged by hail and that several heads had worn out. The technician, Daryl, called ahead of time to ask if he could come early. He worked through all of the repairs, reset and programmed the system, and he took the time to walk me through the settings of the system. Village Green will be keeping my lawn healthy and hydrated this summer and whereafter!

 + -1 moreRead above...not please with the scheduling. Irritated as all sin I cant get a consistent answer - based on that, I would NOT reccomend them as it hints to honesty and integrity.
Description of Work: Called last week to have them come out and repair pop-up sprinkler heads and some drip irrigation (a critter, likely an armadillo) had dug into into and left it in poor shape. We have used the Village Green before and having been please last time, we returned. Spoke with Charlie last week seeking to get aforementioned sprinkler work done. Was informed that Saurdays are NOT "schedulable" as they are reserved for rain days in case work during the week gets rained out - besides it was a holiday weekend. No biggie - so we scheduled for Wed 4/3 @ 8am. It rained last night. The ground is wet. Charlie calls at roughly 8:30a and leaves a VM on 4/3 to say they dont work in the rain. Except its not raining now. Yes the ground is wet but its sprinkler reapir work...right? Ok, no big deal I'll call back (within minutes of his VM) and reschedule for this coming Saturday - it qualifies right? Wrong. Now, on the phone with Charlie, he clearly deosn't want to work on Sat. And now it was they are booked (that was fast given it was about 8:45a and hadnt rained before last night) - I wish they had called me to reschulde instead of just cancelling - you know, that first call from Charlie. Then he needs a few hours to see if he can't squeeze me on their fully booked day on Saturday. How did all these people get in front of me this fast on Sat? The delay between his call and my callback was not even 5 minutes. Smells fishy. Forget it. Calling someone else and not returning. If you don't want to work weekends just say so. Stop given me a rigamarol about it and changing the story for "not working on Sat". Thankfully, we hadn't switched our lawn treatment from True Green to them - who knows what they would - or likely would not - have done.

 + -1 morehave used village greens before, found their listing from angies list. both experiences have been positive. another sprinkler pump was on the fritz, this time wiring. the pumps were very old (original from 60's). parts becoming hard to find, and decided to just replace all remaining pumps. they arrived on time, and promptly began work. wrapped up in about 90 minutes. tested and adjusted all sprinkler heads for maximum coverage, and spoke a length, about best watering practices and techniques. very courteous, very helpful, and very professional.

 + 0 moreThe actual aeration went well, but the scheduling was a bit haphazard. They ended up coming out the wrong day and I had not had a chance to mark my sprinklers. Luckily, it appears that none of them were damaged. Overall, I think it is a good company and product. Hopefully, I just caught them at a busy time.

 + 0 moreThis company is excellent. They scheduled a time that suited my working schedule. They came exactly the time and day that was scheduled. They using a machine to make holes in every area of my yard (front, sides, and back). They left very little mess. I thought the price was extremely reasonable for the large area they covered. The owner gave me suggestions on how to treat my grass and then sent a follow up email with suggestions for lawn care. Would definately use this company again and recommend them.
Description of Work: They came out to aerate my lawn. My grass is not growing well and the yard is dry and the ground is very hard.

 + -1 moreInitial call was returned promptly. Two appointments were made and kept within very reasonable time frame with good communication. Work was performed efficiently and as promised. Final charges were below estimate.
Description of Work: Overall review of sprinkler system with detailed description of recommended repairs/changes and detailed estimate of costs. All work was completed in a timely manner and significantly below the estimate. I was encouraged to call with any concerns after using the system. There has not been time to evaluate whether any follow up will be necessary but all the work appears to have been completed. I would definitely use Village Green again.

 + -1 moreI had purchased a full sprinkler tune up as an Angie's List Big Deal. They were able to schedule me promptly and called the day before and the morning of to confirm. The two technicians arrived on time and conducted a full review of the system and the electronic panel. They answered all my questions. Several items needed to be replaced, including a hose that was cracked. I also will be having this company aerate my lawn before they return to perform the repair services. Very professional company. I was very pleased.
Description of Work: I had purchased a full sprinkler tune up as an Angie's List Big Deal. The services were a full review of the sprinkler system, the electonic timing panel and the moisture sensor. They examined and tested all of the zones, they adjusted heads to maximize efficiency, and they advised me in detail of what parts of my system needed repair. They were quite thorough.

 + 0 moreThe actual aeration was well done. the company contacted me as soon as I bought the deal and set the appointment. When I called to confirm and ask questions it took a while to get a return call in fact I had to call again. There seemed to be a breakdown in getting information back and forward and the person I talke to ...actually he did all the talking and I had to call him on that so I could ask my questions. Over all it was a good experience.

 + -1 moreHe explained issued discovered and gave us a quote for additional charges, but there was no pressure to sign up for additional business at that point in time allowing us time to get competitive quotes if we wanted. Since we were at the end of the season, we opted to hold off on most fixes until spring, so we will be calling them back to perform another review and the necessary fixes.
Description of Work: We just had the overall review completed for our entire sprinkler system. They reviewed all and even walk me through using it, since I have never used it - we just moved in.

Set up zone timing and showed us how to use it and explained when we should lengthen the amount of time of our watering. Gave us an estimate for repairs that my husband has elected to do himself (has some experience with sprinkler systems). Would use again!

 + 0 moreThey called and made an appointment. They arrived right on the nose. Unloaded aerator and proceeded to aerate my front and back yard. I lost my yard and this is the first step in replanting. The aerator left little soil turned up so rain can penetrate the ground, rather than run off.
