 + 1 moreThey performed the services just as they said they would. They notified me of their planned arrival days ahead of time. They also instructed me to mark my sprinkler heads in some way to avoid damage. None of my sprinkler heads were damaged in this process. One word of caution...if you have soaker hose (as I do along the parkway) there's probably a good chance you will experience some damage to the hose unless you tell them to avoid that section of the lawn. I didn't inform them about this ahead of time. Lesson learned.

 + -1 moreI discovered that the irrigation system was a lot more extensive than I had realised. The sytem was checked out to make sure that water was getting to all the outlets, damaged ones were repalced, and the system was rechecked. The whole job was a little mor thatn I had expected, but the system was more extensive than imained, so actually was not that expensive overall! The work took less time than the tech had envisaged, despite having to dig into the hard clay soil. Overall a very good job.
Description of Work: The whole irrigation system was tested to ascertain where all the nozzles/outlets were situated. These were all checked for serviceability and marked for those that needed replacement. The technician demonstrated to me how the system worked. I had never had an irrigation system before. All damaged nozzles/outlets were repalaced and the system was checked again to ensure taht it was working correctly. The system was then set up to run at the times authorised by our water Company.

The company was very accommodating with rescheduling the service. I would highly recommend them to anyone requiring irrigation services. Very professional and accommodating. They showed up on time and completed the job with no issues.

 + -1 moreTimely followed up after credit card was given within 3-5 days. Then, after 4-6 weeks, we contacted them and they said we had fallen through the cracks. Our lawn still has winter grass, weeds, and clover in it. We DO NOT recommend this company, for anyone with winter grass or clover issues. After the initial appt didnt' happen, they did respond and came twice per the agreement. The main reason I wrote the initial review was they didn't contact me via email or phone, just sent an invoice for $500.00 and asked if I would like to continue this summer and fall for $500.00. When I did post this review on Angies List, the owner, Mr Ken Hyatt could understand that I was an unhappy customer, apologized and offfered me a partial or full refund which he did.
Description of Work: We saw an Angie's list recommendation for this company. They called that week and said they would be out in a week or two and then again about four to six weeks after that for follow up treatment. After they saw that I was unhappy, they responded and offered to make it good which they did. After waiting for about a month or 6 weeks, II contacted them and they said they were sorry but we had fallen through the cracks. Our lawn still has winter grass, weeds, clover, and other weeds. The yard is still full of weeds and winter grass.

 + -1 moreThe work was performed very well and in a timely manor (about 4 hours). The service guy did not mind me following him around on that cold day however the prices are a bit high on parts and hourly rate. I had no problem paying the higher prices but can not rate it as an 'Excellent or Good' price as it was a bit excessive for the difficulty level doing this work (not to mention I didn't get my Angie's List discount). Make sure to print your Angie's List coupon and present the coupon (I assumed I would not need to print it and hand it to him.).

Description of Work: The Big Deal was for an inspection of my sprinkler system. Which, in hind sight, was a drive-by because addressing the issues I identified began immediately. The issue work was not covered by the $59 Big Deal so the repair cost was on top of the Big Deal inspection. Because of that, I was only charged $52.50 for a half hour for the repairs instead of the one hour minimum. So maybe, I got a deal for the work done. When I inspected the whole system on my own after they left (my bad...I should know better but I seem to defer to "expertise") I found a busted head, two more that were cracked at the sprayer so that their spray was impaired. At a glance, there was spray but it was not effective. They had shortened a few of the pipes. There were at least 3 that needed to be extended to clear landscape growth that also escaped VG's notice. I was not charged for three heads that were replaced yet none of the removed pipes were left with me. Well I spent a good amount of time making this review complete and fair and yet somehow the last half hour of effort is not here. So I have a complaint with Angie's list and this review is not as helpful as the one that was lost. The overall rating of "D" was due to the weight I give quality. I would have gladly paid for more time and parts to have it complete and done right.

Daryl Harris was the one that serviced our system and ensured each section was working properly and adjusted them. Daryl also took the time to explain how set the best time sequence for watering and how to use the new system overall.
Description of Work: Checked each sprinkler station and adjusted as needed. Replaced existing sprinkler control unit with a Rain Bird which is much easier to work.

Description of Work: I purchased an aeration from Village Green and was contacted by the owner about scheduling and about the size of my yard. We agreed my square footage was more than was included in the groupon. Very friendly and knowledgeable owner. Unfortunately his service person arrived during a time I was not at my home and only aerated the front lawn. When I called & emailed VG it took several tries to find out that their aerator machine would not fit through one of my back gates, however it would have fit through a second one that was not accessed. After several attempts of trying to complete the aeration, the owner and I agreed we would not be charged an additional yardage fee and would just go with what had been done. It was a good experience for what was completed, but frustrating not to get the job completed.

Replace a sprinkler hear although it turned out to be the septic sprinkler. If I had known I would replaced it with the head specific to septic.
