Village Green

They don't spray but they put down a chemical that prevents the grubs from germinating in the ground. With everything that they did it was more like $200. I fired 3 or 4 lawn services that do the chemicals prior to this and I also have landscapers that do the mowing and other things, and so I've probably fired 7 or 8 and I am with the best one I've ever had right now.

It went just great. I scheduled the work through Angie's web site which is a great convenience. Village Green was very accommodating as to when they would come out. Talked to Mike, one of the Managers, a couple time to reschedule appointment due to bad weather. Mike was just great to deal with. Sam showed up right on time and checked out my system. As it turned out, there was no leaks just over watering making it appear there were leaks. Dumb me! While here Sam went over the timer with me and gave me some great tips and also adjusted one of my rotating heads. He is such a nice fellow to work with and so willing to help anyway he can. If you have not used Village Green give them a try. You will not be disappointed. I have used them a number of times and have never been disappointed. I do not even much thought to contacting anyone else for lawn and landscaping related work

Very reliable, and my lawn looks great!

Sam came out to look at my property because I thought I needed a new system. He walked me through everything with my system explaining why he thought I could still use the current system I have for a little longer. It turns out that I had a few leaks, need some heads replaced and some rotors installed. I can't begin to thank Sam for saving me money because we have so many other more important things wrong with our house right now. All of the staff at Village Green has been top notch in service and communication. They aren't the cheapest around but they certainly aren't the most expensive either. The repairs that they perform are quality and they stand behind their work. I have already scheduled another repair for a rental house and referred them to a family member. I highly recommend Village Green.

Easy scheduling and prompt arrival. Fairly routine until it was discovered that two zones were being activated at the same time. I've had other providers do these checks in the past, and this symptom was never reported, so the attention to detail was appreciated (not sure when this problem developed). From there, it became a bit of a hunt, since a long buried valve had to be located (since raised and visible). A quick wiring change got the zones operating properly.

Prompt service, fairly priced

They did a good job. I cannot remember the exact price, but I believe it was around $75.00.

Basically walked my yard, put flags by sprinkler heads and told me I should buy a new system. Did not actually fix anything. Waste of my time. Had another company come out and they had the controller adjusted, heads fixed and system working perfectly in an hour.

My experience was very good. I would use them in the future.

They did tune up my sprinkler and did a great job.

Village Green was very professional, from setting up the appointment through carrying it out. Sprinkler heads were adjusted and we wound up needing to replace 2 heads (I had expected we would need more work than that), and then the technician took time to help me adjust our watering plan on top of that. I appreciate all the recommendations and will definitely call them next time we do a tune-up! Thank you!

The lead irrigation technician, Sam, came out earlier than scheduled after calling me to let me know there had been a cancellation and that he could come sooner. I was immediately impressed with him and his knowledge of my system even though another company installed it. He educated me on every aspect of my controller panel, showed me a couple of things I needed to keep an eye on, installed a new battery in the rain sensor and then had to clean gunk out of it so it would register correctly. Sam checked every aspect of my system, made any necessary adjustments and gave it a thumbs-up. He set my watering schedule exactly the way it should be and explained the use of the "seasonal adjustment" feature. I'm good to go now! For the first time in 2-1/2 years since the system was installed I now understand the "why" and the "how" of everything. He was very efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I will certainly call on Village Green again for my irrigation needs, and I want to commend the owner, Ken Hyatt, for having such a wonderful employee as Sam on his team!

The Office Staff, Mike and Cindy were very friendly and accommodating. The foreman, Daryll was informative and knowledgable about all plants. In addition, they guaranteed that if any of their plants installed died within a few days they would be happy to replace it. I called and left a message that 3 little annual flowers had died and within 2 days they replaced them!

They were good but it really wasn’t a big purchase. They did do a good job. They seem to do what they said they would do, which was to inspect them. The fixed a couple of things as well as decided which sprinklers needed to be fixed.

The staff is awesome and they are very diligent in calling me to let me know they are coming out. They don’t ever bother me; they just do their job and move on. They always the phone when I call and they have a website I can go to and check things out.

I continue to use them. I used the big deal from Village Green for lawn and irrigation back in 2012. I don't remember exactly but they checked the sprinkler head or something like that for the big deal. I continued to use. They come every month. I started to use them more constantly because I knew who they were and because they came out that first time. If you have a problem they will come out and work with you. With off season weeds or something like that, they will come out and do it but it is a monthly service that they provide to fertilize and wipe out weeds and stuff. They do let me know before they come. It cost 89 dollars and 85 cents a month.

They did an excellent job. We would use them for sprinkler repair in the future.

They normally do a friendly reminder call the day before to remind us that they are coming out to make sure the gates are unlocked. I was impressed that they also come out to check on pesky weeds, outside of the 8 “designated times” that are scheduled. They also send helpful emails with tips and watering schedules. They are very personable, the owner especially. We signed up with them again for another year. They also adjust their treatments based on the type of grass that we have and we have some different types of grass on our lawn.

It was fine and the work was of good quality.

I did not have issues with them. The aeration did not make any difference to my lawn.

That was fine and I had no problem. They didn’t break anything. My interaction with them was fine. I didn’t have any complaints. Their work turned out fine. There wasn’t any additional charge. They damaged but then fixed something. I wished he would have asked me about it before.

I purchased deal for a sprinkler tune up. They came out and did the tune up when my wife was home and left a detailed invoice for me. I asked if they could come back, as I had wanted to be there to get a better understanding of how it works, and how to operate it. They agreed to come back free of charge.

Everything went well. I only needed the two applications and everything looked good.

It went great. I have used Village Green before and worked with Ken the owner so I know their work and how trustworthy they are. As a result of foundation work, a number of landscape-related items were left in disarray including excessive dirt in my flowerbeds, missing mulch, drip system damaged, shrubs stuck in the ground crooked, excess dirt over root barrier and landscape lighting. I contacted Village Green about the issues and Ken came out and sized up the situation, taking pictures and making notes of what needed to be done. I suggested and Ken agreed that it might be best to do the job on a time and material basis since it was not a well defined job. I expressed a concern about keeping the cost down so Ken made a nice offer. They could do the work at a slightly discounted price during their slack season which I greatly appreciated. I had to wait until that time but it was worth the tradeoff. Ken offered to have Darrell, his field supervisor, stop by and look at the job to estimate the number of hours it would take. All this came off as planned as it usually does with Village Green. I received an estimate on the number of hours it would take and we entered into a contract to do the work. Darrell stopped by a couple times to check a couple thinks and plan the work. They stayed in touch with me and after a couple of start and stops (on my part and the weather) the work finally got done. The guys that came out, Johnny and Edwardo, were just great to work with. They do great work and their very best to please the customer. I could not be any more satisfied. There was an issue with the drip line to be worked on so they had their irrigation specialist Sam stop by and he was just as helpful. They all make such a great team and work together well. The work got finished up in a little less time than estimated which I greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, I did not think to check the drip line until the fellows had left. I discovered it was leaking so I contacted Ken and Darrell arranged to have Sam stop by. He not only fixed that leak but three more, and took the time to explain how I might get better usage of my controller. I greatly appreciated the lesson in controllers. Sam also introduced me to the high tech controller they use which is something. And Village Green did not charge me for this follow-up work even though it was legitimately my fault for not checking the line when the guys were here the first time. All things considered the whole experience went exceptionally well from the initial contact to the actual performing the work and even the follow-up. A really nice aspect of Village Green's service is the way the details of the work to be performed is captured in the initial field visit with the customer and conveyed to the field supervisor and eventually to the guys that do the work. Recall, I stated pictures and notes were taken. Well all this info is passed on to the field supervisor and the workers in the field so there is no repeating what needs to be done. Everyone knows what the job is and it lines up with what was originally told to Ken. Nice, really nice!
