Matt and Stacey were both responsive and professional. The crew was great and did exactly as I had asked them to do. I would definitely use them again.

Matt came out 7/30/15 to review the project. I received the quote 7/31/15. The work was started and completed 8/8/15. I am very pleased with the quality of the work and I did receive the Angie's List discount. It has been almost 2 months since the landscaping was done and all the plants are looking healthy. The transplanted crepe myrtle did not even lose any leaves after transplanting in the heat of Texas summer. The only area for improvement is that I was unsure of the day the work would be done. They did not arrive on the day I expected them and then showed up on a day I did not know they were coming. Very minor issue in light of the quality of the work and everything worked out in the end as I was home the day they came to do the work.

I would like to recommend Terra Turf Landscape Management to do your lawn service. They are a competent and caring group with integrity and class. I have contracted Terra Turf Landscape Management to do my lawn at home as well as take care of the lawn in Prosper, TX. The staff at Terra Turf has gone beyond the call of duty to assure that our lawns, shrubbery and trees are well trimmed and manicured. They are always on time and very professional.

Angie's List sent me the Big Deal information which I purchased. Later in the week, the provider called me and said I lived outside their service area. I offered to pay an additional amount to have them drive the additional 8 miles, however, they were not interested. Had a very difficult time getting Angie's List to refund my money. Not a good experience. I blame Angie's List for including my area in this company's advertisement.

It was fantastic. In fact, we did a little project earlier with them. We were so impressed with them that we brought them back out for a second project which was more expensive and bigger. It was a lot of work. Being here in Texas, it happened to be the hottest week. Four guys were out there for two days working on it, doing all the masonry work and stuff. They were on time. They came when they told me they were going to come. We priced a couple of people and they were affordable. They weren't the cheapest ones, but they were in the middle. They did what they said they were going to do and they were easy to get hold of, which is a plus. In fact, we actually did have one issue during the work, where one of the trees that they installed had the wrong colored blooms on it. I emailed the owner and they switched it out in the middle of the project. There were no problems. He did not argue with it. It was fantastic. They were here in the morning and worked all the way till six or seven o' clock. It took them two days. Everything was cleaned when they left. They did a really good job.

I will recommend them. I've been using them for several years. They come out every Wednesday. They are reliable. The cost is about $33 for mowing. They are a little bit more than some of the others in the area. I have a yearly contract with them.

The results were fantastic, beyond expectations. I was very pleased.

The scheduling of the work was not very good and required frequent contact with the service provider.

.The crew showed up and starting working without notifying me they were onsite, I was home at the time. By the time I realized they had been working in the front yard, they were loading up and left. The front hedges had been trimmed very nicely (which I did not request), but a large amount of plastic lining remained in the beds and not all the bark chips were removed. Due to the time of year and all the rain this year, Several months later I discovered that a sprinkler line had been cut while they turned some of the dirt in the flowerbed. I had to pay a sprinkler repair service approx. $100 to come out and determine the problem which ended up being a main sprinkler system wire had been cut and wrapped around the rest of the wire bundle and covered over. Since I do my own yard work around the house, no one else had previously worked in the flower beds. It would have been beneficial and less costly if they had just notified me when they arrived so I could review what they intended to do and more importantly notified me that they accidentally chopped a wire in the flower bed.

They did a fantastic job. The price was fair and they did an excellent job!!!! When they left you they didn't leave one scrape of trash or evidence that they had even been here. Very professional crew of guys.

The crew is very professional and punctual. My neighbors have even made comments to me about the quality and efficiency of the crew. I have used this company for 10 years now and they do a fantastic job. The yard always looks fantastic after Terra Turf's services

On time and finished in the alloted time

In a word, it was abysmal. The owner, Matt Brady, did not want to make time to visit our property to be sure that he understood what needed to be done and told us that since his company had done similar work for us in the past, that they knew what to do. The crew arrived without proper instructions or the right equipment and did not complete a significant part of the work that we had clearly specified was to be done. The crew leader promised to return and complete the work within a couple of days, but did not. The first invoice that we received was for an inflated amount of time and we were charged for an hour and 45 minutes of time that they spent dealing with equipment malfunctions/replacement. We objected and the invoice was adjusted, but no apology was offered for the overcharge. We attempted to schedule a time with Matt Brady to have Terra Turf complete the work, but he refused to agree to a specific time and insisted that we should just keep our gate unlocked so that his crew could show up at their convenience. He was, as is his habit when confronted with his company's failures, very rude. When we suggested that we would pay upon completion of the work that was agreed upon, he threatened to place a mechanic's lien on our property (not realizing that he had no ability to do so because of his ignorance of the proper procedures required under Texas law for homestead property). This is not our first problem with Terra Turf and specifically with Matt Brady. Last year, his crew was several hours late and, as a result, was unable to finish the job without our assistance. We spent 4 hours of our own time working with them to get the work done before it got dark. Brady was argumentative when we contacted him, but later apologized and reduced the charges when we threatened to post a negative review. Last summer, despite the fact that we sent him an email with photographs showing exactly what needed to be done, his crew performed significant additional work that we did not authorize. We opted to pay for the work as a gesture of good faith because it would have been needed within a few months. Obviously, this made no difference. It's unfortunate that Mr. Brady cannot control his immature behavior and seems to become personally offended whenever there is an issue that needs to be resolved. His crews do good quality work, but dealing with such an unprofessional owner is not worth the irritation. We strongly recommend avoiding this company. Mr. Brady unsuccessfully attempts to twist reality in the below response. We only used Terra Turf again because he apologized profusely for his previous behavior and provided a significant discount to compensate us for the admittedly unprofessional work. We wanted to provide him and his company with another chance to do things right. Unfortunately, they failed. As expected, he is unwilling to take responsibility and, instead, attempts to obfuscate. We do not believe that a 30 minute window of time is an unrealistic request when the company is at fault for not completing the work that was agreed upon. We could have accommodated a 2-3 hour window on the date that we were originally told the remaining work would be completed, but Terra Turf never called to arrange it after promising to do so. Mr. Brady is dishonest and has every motivation to be exactly that when responding to a negative review.

I have been very impressed with Terra Turf from the beginning. Their Office Manager returned my initial call within an hour and had scheduled, Matt, the owner, to view our property within a few days. Matt was very knowledgable and responsive. He came up with some great solutions that worked well within our budget. Matt's crew completed our job in a timely fashion and did excellent work! We have been vey pleased with the results!!!! I would highly recommend Terra Turf to anyone, and we plan on using them again for additional projects and bi-weekly maintenance. Thanks Terra Turf!

Terra Turf did a good job. I was out of town at the time, but had been working with Matt on what we wanted for a week or two prior. They came by the morning after they had originally quoted, but there had been quite a bit of rain during the week. At the end of the day, they provided exactly what we asked for in a timely manner and for a reasonable price. I would use them again for any future landscaping work.

Mowing and trimming were average. The billing department, however, refused to accept our checks after more than a year of prompt payment by check, instead demanding a credit card for automatic billing. Because we prefer to pay by check, they cancelled our service. No great loss, since they are average at best, but the customer should be able to choose his or her form of payment. I guess depositing our check was too much of an inconvenience for them....

It worked out well. I paid an additional $800. There were no unexpected issues.

What stands out to me about them is the job they do. They are great. They are reliable. The service is every Tuesday and they are there every Tuesday. My yard is just done perfectly. They have all sorts of options you can choose from.

It happened while I was at work so when I came home it was all done. Wow, what a difference a day makes. I definitely will use them again. No direction at all, they just knew how to make the front look better.

The first time I hired Terra Turf was on 9/30/14 to overseed my lawn with winter grass. I got their name form Angie's List. I called and spoke directly with Matt, the owner, and he was very responsive and they did the job without issues. I was pleased with their service and contacted them in March of this year to start full time own care for our home. It was like a different company. Matt was very hard to get a hold of by phone or email. They called back on a blocked number so I do not answer and told them I did not answer blocked numbers. I gave full instructions over email and it made no difference. Once I talked to Matt ( Mid March) I told him what I wanted and wanted to start with bringing in dirt to level my front yard and Matt told me he would come take a look and give me a quote and to this day, I have never received it. My wife called them a few times also and she got the same thing, a machine and then blocked ID calls back. Who answers a blocked number? Why would the number be blocked? I spoke to a young lady at Terra Turf about it and she said that is how their system is set up and they are not equipped to take text etc. The way Terra Turf communicated does not work for me. I am busy during the day and cannot afford to be on the phone for calls etc especially if I do not know who is calling with all the spam calls going on. I also made it clear to Matt that we keep our back gates locked for security and they would be unlocked on the day of mowing. Yesterday, Thursday was our day and they never showed. At 5 pm I called and left a message terminating our business relationship. Today, Friday Morning at 9 am their crews showed up and started mowing my lawn. I happen to be home doing a home office day and went outside to stop them. Hours later I received an email saying they would miss cutting my grass on Thursday due to the weather. It was about 24 hours late. I finally called and spoke to Matt at about 12:45 pm asking if he had received my email form the day prior and it was obvious he had not, so I told him I had terminated our business relationship the day before. In the end, I just did not have this amount of time to spend to get my grass cut. Their communications system does not meet our needs, and they did not deliver on what and when they said they would. Updated 4-26-15 I have updated the review to reduce professionalism to D for not being entirely truthful in a response to my review.. Matt responded to my review within one day. I just wish he had been that responsive to my needs as a customer. Since he is fond of copy and pasting emails I will do the same for the email I sent him on April 18, after he responded to my review. Matt, I see you were very quick to respond to my review on Angie's list. If your email responses had been that fast when I was a customer, It would have been better. You are wondering why I left your service? Really? Refer to the email you posted from me on March 22 in which I give you a detailed overview of what I want and I never received a response to that. I mentioned cutting my grass and leveling my front yard in both that email and the when we spoke live the very first time, yet never receive the quote you promise me. You did not mention that in your Angie's list response. That email of March 22 is after I called to tell you I wanted lawn service and the first cut was April 2? I even mention the grass is getting long. That is not responsive because you would not act on the email I sent. You kept trying to call me even after I sent the email explaining what I wanted. I apologized in the email to be kind. I am the customer and you like you, I do not like to be called during the day about these issues that can be handled by email. I also mention in the email I am easily accessible by email within minutes. I am busy and travel some, and am in a lot of meetings in which I cannot talk on the phone, but can email but for some reason you did not pick up on that and kept trying to call on a blocked number. In the end, I felt like you are a grass cutting service and not a lawn care service. I wanted my yard leveled, and then the same type of grass/sod laid down and I never heard anything from you on that. I consider myself more than reasonable but not very patient. Just wanted you to be clear on why we parted ways.

Bought the angies deal for clearing out fall leaves from my yard. There wes quite lot of leaves and the 3 member crew did a very thorough and efficient job of clearing out the leaves. They also trimmed the shrubs , cleared out the debris, packed all the leave into bags and placed them appropriately for town pickup. There were about 40 bag in all.. Excellent work, highly recommend them. IT took them longer than the hour I had purchased and they gave me an estimate of the extra time it will take and were done in that time. Charged me for the fraction of the hour it took them in extra time. Very pleased. Highly recommend for similar jobs.

The quality of work has been terrible. I am quite dissappointment. First of all they were among the highest price one and I went with them thinking that they would deliver good quality for the price. THEY DID A VERY POOR JOB. The crew arrived on time but without a sod cutter which was the first step of the process. They took out the existing sod with spades leaving the roots in the soil. I have changes the type of grass and so it was important that the roots be removed as much as possible. They did not till the soil but instaed just raked it and added top soil. The company forgot to the pre-order the sod and so the job was not completed the first day. I did not get any calls and so I left work a bit early thinking I can be there before the work is complete. Well, when I reached home and looked at the surface that was prepared I was quite dissappointed. first of all, there was no sod installed. Secondly the surface was not really done thinking that we are changing the sod type. When I called the company, it took almost 1 hr to get hold of someone who knew what was going on. When I told them about the fact that they had not done the work that was in the contract, they accepted and sent the sod cutter with the crew next day. As they has already laid new top soil the day before, running the sod cutter after the fact was a dumb thing. I was told that I should let the crew do their job which I felt was disrespectful knowing that the crew did a crappy job on the first day. Anyhow, I let the crew do the work. I left when they has just started laying the sod and when I came back in 2 hrs, the crew had left and it did not appear that they had rolled the sod very well. it was quite uneven and you could feel air pockets under the sod. Although they did a crappy job, they were pretty quick to charge the credit card for payment. NEVER GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO THEM. When I contacted them a few days later about bad rolling, they told me that they will send a crew. I assumed they will do it right away as the new sod may not establish well if it was not rolled. Later when no one showed up for 2 days, I asked them again and they told me that they are booked and the crew will not come for a week. Isn't that great, they charged for the payment within 1 hr of their leaving my place and now to do the work that they should have done properly in the first place, they do not have time. I will never use this provider again and will not recommend anyone to anyone else. They are not reliable - and do not deliver on the services they put down in their estimate. They management is very handsoff once the project starts and that is the reason their quality sucks.

Professionally completed in a very short time during the time frame promised. I would recommend them.
