Steve was very quick once i called him and immediately scheduled the appointment. Asked for a copy of the property survey which was provided to him, he left with survey, he never measured anything and left saying they are 2 months out. His visit was on April 12th..so far no estimate. Contacted multiple times via phone, text, and email, no response, only picked up the call once and said let me check what's going on with estimate, never heard back from him. It was not a small project. Guess he doesn't want our business. There are many to choose from out there.

This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Steve is very professional, knowledgeable and responsive. Loved his landscape ideas, and he was very open and adaptable to suggestions. Pricing was extremely reasonable so we ended up expanding our original scope of work a bit. No more bland boring backyard! We absolutely love how it turned out! He gets straight A's from us and we highly recommend his services.

Everything from our initial meeting, the design process, and the actual installation was smooth and painless. The experience when dealing with Steve and his crew was nothing more than perfect. He truly made the entire experience perfect. The design consultations were perhaps the most important part and Steve made sure we had a clear understanding of what the backyard would look like. He even sent us a AutoCAD design layout of our backyard which really helped! When it came time for his crew to come out they were absolutely professional and surprisingly very quiet. They made sure any changes we might want during the project were addressed adn they gave their professional inputs when drains were added and such. All around the experience was top notch and I have already referred Steve Swenson Landscaping to many of my close friends and neighbors.

We contacted him along with two other landscapers. One waited three months to give us a quote and the other was twice as expensive. I should have went with the more expensive. Steve came out and we went over how we had a problem with just two small curbed off areas of grass by the street. It was filled with weeds and the previous owners just put sod on top of sod. We asked that the old grass be removed, the ground treated to prevent weeds, leveled and for high quality Zoysia grass to be put down. He told us it only came in pallets therefore the grass would have a lot left over- where would we like it. I showed him the side of the house. What we got was the old grass removed, soil left untreated and a lumpy base that is so uneven it can not be mowed. The untreated dirt and low quality zoysia in not only a water hog, it is ugly. 1/4 of it is patchy. For the extra grass in the pallet, they removed grass on the front of the yard under a tree withOUT sprinklers. They did not put the extra grass in any reasonable place much less where I told them I wanted it. They put it where it was closest to their trailer so it was easier for them. BUT they just left the patch of weed grass closest to the street. It makes zero sense. It is a big lump that is an eyesore. I regret this decision so much. I have spent weeks pulling weeds, watering grass, researching the problems, and paying so much money to yard specialists in order to have a decent yard it makes me sick to my stomach. Now I am having to pay someone to repair all of it!!!!! We are looking at thousands of dollars to fix this HORRIBLE job! He stopped returning phone calls when I asked him about the weeds and dead grass patches. Originally, he said he would come put something on it. He never did. AND, This is just the problem with the grass. We also paid for him to put in new landscaping and he put in cheap filler flowers that will be pulled soon. We never wanted cheap filler flowers! We wanted a hole in the landscaping filled where a tree was removed. Ultimately, he showed up with no notice and I was caught off guard. I really did not have the time to go over where he was going to put everything and to double check what his plans were. I guess it is my fault that I trusted a professional to do a good job.

Excellent work by both Steve and his crew. The design and plant selection is great. He and his crew were very punctual and kept us informed every step of the way. They discovered a leak in our sprinkler system as they were installing drip irrigation. The crew responded very quickly to diagnose and repair the situation. Great job and will definitely recommend! We have received many compliments from our neighbors on the work.

Did design and installation of front and backyard landscaping. Very professional - completed work on time and within quoted bid. Very satisfied with results.

His crews worked tirelessly in blistering heat and did a great job! They were respectful and friendly. All issues that arose were corrected. The first evening I sat out in my new area felt like my own private oasis with a balmy breeze, the sound of water, the smell of new landscaping and the softness of the lighting. Heaven and worth every penny.

We had three bids. Steve had good ideas and drew a nice design. His bid was lower but we liked another design better. We would consider him if we needed another project.

From start to finish it all went extremely well. On schedule and on budget! Steve was always available to answer questions in the planning process and even provided us with directions in the end on how to maintain our new look. Steve was a pleasure to work with!

It couldn't have possibly gone any better. Steve is an excellent communicator. We were really clear on the process, meaning how long it would take, and the relative order in which things would be done. His crew is also outstanding. They went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. I can't recommend Steve and crew highly enough.

Excellent. Only took three days. Crew was efficient and left the yard picked up nicely each day they left. The front looks great and will be low maintenance. Steve was very easy to work with and easy to get a hold of.

I highly recommend Steve K. Swenson for your landscaping design and installation needs. He took a decade-old overgrown jungle of a front yard and transformed it into a very attractive lawn and beds at our place. I was especially impressed with how Steve worked with us to retain some of our more mature trees and shrubs, and some rock we already had on hand, to provide a well-balanced look to our new landscape. This was a fairly big job: lots of demo; trimming existing trees and shrubs; installing a full sprinkler system; installing stone bed borders and a walk path; planting new shrubs, grasses, and flowers, and doing cleanup with a new drip system in our back yard beds. Steve and his team were a pleasure to work with, and we are delighted with the results (and so are our neighbors).

Steve and his crew did an amazing job! Steve came out several times to consult with us and answer all the questions and concerns that we had. His crew was very good and quality was amazing! We are already thinking of future projects to hire him again!

Steve was on time, responsive, flexible and so fun to work with. He and/or his crew were on time every day and cleaned up after themselves every night. Plus, the wall is beautiful and it turned out exactly like we had hoped!

Excellent. Prompt and professional. Steve and the crew got it completed in a timely manner. I had some issues with my dogs tearing up plants and they replaced the offending plants with another variety that my Golden Retrievers feel compliment the landscaping in a more Zen like manner. Would use again on future work anytime. Great Job!!

Steve and his crew really transformed our embarrassingly bare and sad looking backyard into something that we actually want to use now and made it look amazing. His crew worked quickly and got everything done in 2 days. I was especially impressed with Steve during the quoting process when he was very patient with my many questions and modifications. He was very knowledgable and made some key suggestions that other landscapers I talked to didn't really bother to take the time to do. We asked for a low maintenance yard that still looked good (which sounds impossible) but he really managed to create that and even talked me through all the names of the plants and maintenance. Overall, we are pleased with how our new front and backyards turned out and Steve is professional, courteous and I would definitely recommend using his company.

Great company!! Steve came out a number of times to make sure our landscape design was exactly what we wanted!!! He provided us with a drawing of exactly how it would look, including the names of the plants and bushes. We were able to visualize everything before they started! The outdoor grill is the most beautiful hand crafted (i watched the guys build it, piece, by piece) stone work I have ever seen! The price was very reasonable and he stayed exactly to the quote! We now have a lovely, low maintenance outdoor living space that we enjoy EVERYDAY! Thanks for everything!! :) HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

Great! Dug out dead shrubs and plants, re-did the beds, added topsoil and fertilizer, re-planted with new plants and added border.

We had a lot of shade in our front yard. The grass was having lots of trouble growing and there were several bare spots. They got our input and designed a functional, beautiful re-do. The work is absolutely beautiful. We have gotten several compliments. We are always sure to pass on the company info to anyone who asks. Thank you so much for a great experience! Steve and his guys are great. They did exactly what they said they would, took extra time to water and made sure our sprinklers were adjusted for the new plantings. When we had one minor mishap, they fixed it right away with no issues. We definitely recommend them

Steve listened carefully to what I wanted and made good suggestions about how to accomplish my ideas, including several things that I had not considered. He was able to salvage some of my old plants by simply moving them to new locations, and added new ones that were more appropriate to the location in terms of size and shade tolerance. He also responded immediately when I asked that some of the plants be repositioned, and even followed up a week later to see if I was still satisfied. I would not hesitate to recommend Steve.
