When I found the company online I thought they looked pretty good, so I called and asked if the could have someone come out to look at my pool motor which was laboring and not pushing any pressure to my Polaris to clean the pool and give me a qoute. I also asked for a quote for monthly service as well as having them look at some cracks in my decking that I have been watching. I was told that there was no charge for a quote and that I would be given a phone call after they looked to let me know what they find. They arrived while I was at work and later in the day after I called them to see where things stood I was told by the tech that he had taken the motor off and cleaned out the impeller because it was clogged , but the Jandy Valve was leaking, but he doesn't have the O-rings to fix that and would have to come back the next day to do it.. At that point I was on my way to meet a Client and did not have the time to discuss why the work was completed without me giving the okay, so I let it go and waited for a service bill. When I received the bill I paid for it online like normal and went on about my business. They came back the next day and finished with putting the o-rings into the Jandy Valve. The second invoice I received stated that the Polaris is moving around good now on the invoice...yes a second invoice. I contacted the customer service rep I had been working with assuming that I would only need to pay the difference for the additional parts that were needed because I felt like this was all still the same issue. WRONG!!! I was informed that I would be paying an additional Labor charge for $105.00 (yes, a second labor charge of $105 for the same problem) because "any time one of our people has to go out they have to get paid and we don't send parts with them, so they don't always have all the parts they need to fix everything if they don't know what the problem is." I asked the rep to check with the supervisor because I felt like this was all the same issue and since I do not know all the ins and outs of pool equipment how would I know to tell them to bring parts to replace o-rings in a Jandy Valve or a housing seal or whatever the case may be. She said that she would ask the owner, however she then informed me that they also had mis-labeled the parts they replaced on the second invoice and that the correct part has been added to a third invoice for me...adding more cost as the part they "mis-labeled" is more expensive. The next day I received a voicemail from them stating that the owner will give me a month of free pool service in order to equal out this issue if I sign up to use their service on a monthly basis, but that they will not cancel the invoices where the additional charges had been added. Thanks but no thanks!!! Total cost for all this drama by the calculations on all the invoices including the first service labor charge SHOULD HAVE BEEN $131.15 plus tax however I ended up paying $266.30 for completion of a service call that still had not been fixed. My Polaris is still not cleaning the pool. And to top it all off...the bolt that holds the valve onto the Jandy Valve is now missing as well. Recommendation for anyone looking at Blue Sky Pools...look elsewhere or you are going to get ripped!. I work in the customer service industry and find find this whole episode to be completely opposite of good customer service. I also do not understand how a company can charge twice for the same issue and still not fix the issue. Normally a company would disclose that they charge a fee for setting foot on site, but for those of us who are not Pool Professionals (and I will use this term loosely), how would we know that this is the case.
Description of Work: I asked them to come look at my pool equipment because the motor was laboring and I didn't know why. They unclogged the impeller and replaced the housing seal.
