Raging Pools

Service was good for the first few months. Raymond (owner) came personally and cleaned our pool weekly. Last summer, new staff were added and service became very erratic. Standards fell dramatically. We frequently had to ask for the pool to be recleaned. Returning home, on the day of the service, I would see debris and dust clearly visible on the pool bottom and leaves floating on the top. This level could not have resulted after the pool was cleaned- it was apparent that the vacuuming was not adequate and the service staff were cutting corners. Service schedules were also very erratic. A couple of weeks, they missed the service without any prior notice. They did not even acknowledge the missed service until I called and asked why our pool was not cleaned. At which point, we were offered two services spaced a few days apart (which is quite redundant!) instead of our regular schedule. This weekend we had to request yet another re-cleaning because there were leaves and debris in the pool even though the pool had supposedly been vacuumed. Today we returned home to find that after the and quot;re-cleaningand quot;, three tiles from the pool tile trim were broken, shards left behind in the pool. We took photographs which will be forwarded to both Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau. When we called Raymond (owner), he denied any knowledge of it. And yet, curiously, he seemed to know exactly where the broken tiles were, saying how and quot;this happensand quot; near the skimmer. Interesting that he was able to pin point the exact area of the broken tiles and yet claim that it was in no way his fault. Far from apologizing for the property damage, Raymond was extremely rude and combative. Rather than offering to make it right, he rudely cut me off and hung up on me. We have changed our lock and cancelled our service with Raging Pools and strongly recommend against Raging Pools for any services.

Ray has the best service of any pool company that I've used in Dallas. He is always able to stop what he's doing to answer a question or come check out my issue. All of his employees are super nice and very respectful. We have even left a key to our house with him before when we had an issue with our equipment, I have been using Ranging Pools now for over a year now and I have no intention of changing. We recommend Ray and his staff to everyone we know that has a pool. If you are looking for a company that leaves you with nothing to worry about, this is the one.

Showed up on time, they got right to work. Informed me when they were done and had me look it over. Professional and well spoken.

RAY WAS FANTASTIC!!! Our pool maintenance service drained our in ground pool because of severe algae issues on monday, under the premise that their subcontractor would come tuesday to acid wash the plaster which had been excessively calcified. It had a thick crust of salt and in many places stains under this crust, which we had previously scrapped and scoured with no success. Very early Tuesday morning I was dismissively informed that their guy couldn't get to it before friday... Couldn't Get to My Empty In Ground Pool For 4 Days! Just in case you Don't know: especially with impending, rain that could be catastrophic, the pool itself could rise from the ground like the dead in a zombie movie! After the initial melt down, I loaded my Angie's List arsenal, calling every A-list pool service provider in our area. Since it was before business hours, I left 15 voicemails giving the gist of my plight. After the first few return calls (by the smaller more local companies) I realized that i needed to google acid washing... Again I left 15 messages. the first to call me back was a fabulous man from the Dallas area who was more than willing to help as soon as he could, he had some commitments to commercial pools in Irving that day. He gave me an estimate based on the size of my pool (his service included a full cleaning of my filter and balancing of chemicals later), after talking to others, including companies that no longer offered the service, I found it was a great bid. I then told him that he would not have to waste time pumping the pool as it had already been done. After several exclamations of horror, He said that he would move heaven and earth to get here that very afternoon. He would do it tonight "if it wasn't too inconvenient For ME if he worked out back so late". Seriously! Save me at Your convenience! He arrived When he said he would, with More help than we expected, for Cheaper that we hoped. Our Pool guy was so shocked at the price and promptness that he came to watch, and has now offered him more sub work. I know that Raging Pools has more in their repertoire than acid washing my little family pool, but he sure made me feel that ours was the most important thing in the world. As the pickiest, nagging, unsatisfiable woman I know (seriously my friends use my service providers because of my ridiculousness) I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY without hesitation. He has already called this morning to check on me (my pool guy hasn't been seen yet). I now have the great pleasure of calling the helpful and kind Angle's list providers who told me that if i found a good acid wash guy to let them know, they all needed one.
