During the estimating process, Richard listened to what we wanted but also made suggestions for what would and would not look good. He patiently waited while we worked through the HOA approval process and provided us with a large plot plan with all of the detail to get the necessary approvals. His team arrived when promised and Richard was there to oversee the start of the work. There was a small issue with part of the stone work due to the concrete underneath and they redid one entire section since it was not to the quality that he wanted. We changed our minds several times on some of the details of the landscaping and edging and Richard was more than willing to accommodate so that we were happy. We are not the most savvy customers for landscaping, etc. and we appreciate his advice and willingness to tell us when something wouldn't work well for us. The finished product and quality of the work were first-rate.I would use R&R again and would highly recommend them to anyone else looking for stone or landscape work. Our home now looks "finished" and we are delighted to have selected R&R.

The process went very smoothly. Richard was on site first thing in the morning to get his crew going. They were on time and always left their work area tidy by the end of the day. The crew members were meticulous when installing all details of the project. Courtyard project included: concrete and paver removal, leveling of yard with crushed granite, installation of grass around stone slabs creating pathways to the new fountain and Japanese maple. Few well placed spot lights tops off the courtyard and is breathtaking at night. Its simple and clean and its exactly what i envisioned. Big thank you to everyone at R & R Landscaping.

Richard and his team did a great job. Very professional in getting our backyard landscaping done with pavers and artificial turf installation. Was done on time,quality and budget and truly top class. Would strongly recommend Richard..... Will be using his company services in future for sure.

WENT GREAT WORKERS ON TIME

Removed all sod, graded areas and added two sections of sprinklers and verified full coverage of yard upon completion. Retaining wall done in front yard and in the back yard with sprinklers adjusted for the front. removed two concrete slabs and used decomposed granite in an area where concrete was removed. They did a great job and were polite and the workers were very effective and showed us items as needed to understand what was going on.

Richard did a fantastic job of consulting with us and designing landscape for our front and back yard. His team was professional and thorough and completed the job on time. After they were done, our yard looked amazing. We also received several complements from envious neighbors and couple of them even decided to re-do their front yards with similar design. Richard also did a great job following up to make sure we were happy with the outcome. We have now used him twice and our experience each time has been outstanding. I would strongly recommend (and have also provided referals) him to any home-owner looking for a complete makeover.

Richard and his crew are very professional, responsive and willing to design a solution that fits a homeowner's lifestyle. On our project, R&R installed artificial grass, hardscaping, annuals, perennials and lighting. All were done impeccably and any concern or question following the project completion was welcomed and addressed. He and his staff are always a friendly and easy to work with.

This project included a "makeover" for our backyard and rear portion of the sideyard, which runs along the alleyway entrance. It was such a pleasure to have Richard Barnor meet with us, view the property and to discuss ideas for our "makeover." Along with other ideas, we talked in terms of water conservation and drought-tolerant plantings. Richard worked up a wonderful design with competitive costs agreeable to all. Richard began work in mid May. Richard, along with his daughter Naaf, and the whole R&R team throughout our project were very courteous, professional, hardworking and meticulous individuals. Richard fostered a positive working relationship amongst his employees. His young men worked very hard and so well together. Many times, they were singing as they worked. We do believe this positive tone is one reason the job was done as well as it was. Due to weather, it took the better part of a week to complete this "makeover." At the end of each workday, everything was picked up and either placed off to the side or it was removed from the property; all areas were raked, swept, hosed off, whatever was required to leave the area neat and clean. Richard's team came in, took out the existing deck and concrete walkway and most of the bedding materials in the backyard. All these materials were hauled offsite. The backyard beds were modified -- stone edging taken up and realigned, soil amendments added, soil tilled, drip lines installed, beautiful plants installed, and finished off with mulch. The much-needed pergola for shade, arbor for fountain, and trellises were built, installed and stained according to Richard's design. Richard added three side beds near the alleyway entrance -- one along our driveway, one side bed incorporating two existing crepe myrtles, and one area with a stone pad large enough to hold our trash receptacles and yard waste, along with a surrounding bed and plantings large enough to camouflage this area. These side beds also included drip lines. All remaining sprinkler heads on the property were adjusted or repaired. The transformation of our back and side yards is amazing. As we return home, entering the alleyway, we and our neighbors are greeted by a very pleasant sight. And, it only gets better. Once in the backyard, the feeling is serene; it is beautiful! Our back yard has become our place to relax. We intend to work with Richard again and would wholeheartedly recommend him for a beautiful transformation of anyone's living space.

Richard did a great job on the design and installation. He has been very responsible to all my issues, and has been back to re-mulch beds free of charge. I look forward to using them on future work.

On April 4, 2012 I purchased a Big Deal with R&R Landscape, Inc. for $599 for 16 hours of Landscaping which included sprinkler tune up and additional free 1 hour landscape consultation. On April 9, 2012 I met with Richard Barnor from 545pm to 700pm (1.25 hrs.) to go over what I wanted him to do (I don't have an invoice in my files but only some notes I wrote down for myself). I can't remember exactly what work he did but I know it was something to do with renovating our landscaping in our back yard and front yard. I remember he had to at least pull out some dead bushes. At the end of the meeting he said he had to go out of the country on a trip to London, but that he would be back later with a plan and quotes. On April 30, 2012 I called Richard. He was supposed to work that day for us and also earlier than that he was supposed to come by to see what work was to be done. But he did neither. So when I called him on April 30, he said he was running late on a job and would come by tomorrow to work and that he would drop in that day to survey the work to be done. Even though I bought a Big Deal for $599 with him he ended up charging me another $1,000.00 (according to my notes that I wrote down) for doing all the clean up. I thought this was very expensive, considering I only meant to pay $599 in the beginning. I did enjoy meeting Richard and he is a very pleasant man with a purpose behind his business. I remember he works so that the money he makes goes to help those less fortunate. I remember he said he was in ministry work and I thought that was very admirable.

Richard's daughter took my call and was very nice to talk with. We arranged the time for him to come to see our project. Richard came right on time and even called to let me know he was on his way. He saw the mess and had some immediate ideas about how to make the yard an oasis. We enjoyed the process. The next day the bid came and while it was a little more than our budget allowed for, Richard was able to remove a few of the dreamer ideas and being our project right in line with our budget. Richard and his crew were there 2 days after we accepted the bid and got right to work. His crew was very courteous and extremely hard working! They worked all day and finished up once the thunderstorm rained them out. I am glad Richard and his crew take Sundays off. They needed the rest. Monday morning, they arrived again to finish the planting and edge the beds. The job was done in record time and with great care and thought. I appreciate R&R Landscape and tell my friends about his great service!

I purchased a house in May 2014 which had been unoccupied for several months. As a result of the neglect, most of the front foundation beds had died. Additionally, there is a large tree in the front yard with no grass growing around/under it. Richard redesigned and replanted the beds with low maintenance plants, took out any small patches of grass and brought in dirt. He then resodded the sunny side of the yard and covered the problem area around the tree with jasmine ground cover. He also cleared an area at the side of the house and put in crushed granite to make access to the a/c units easier and cleaner. He planted ornamental grasses along the driveway and planted a fern garden under a large tree in the back yard where it is too shady to plant grass. Working with Richard and his daughter Naaf was a pleasure. They both responded promptly to e-mails and telephone calls. Richard patiently worked with me through several design changes and offered excellent advice about suitable plants - I am not a knowledgeable person in that area. The crew who did the actual work were very professional. The work was completed quickly. Before contacting Richard, I had talked with another landscaper whose plans were not what I was looking for and whose cost was higher. I would certainly call Richard for any additional landscaping I might need.

Richard is absolutely the most talented and meticulous landscaper in dfw--his company is awesome. His recommendations for plants, trees, shrubs and flowerbeds have resulted in a fantastic looking yard for which I receive many compliments. The artificial turf he installed looks so good that people don't know its not real grass until I tell them. His team members are efficient, polite, professional and clean. One sign of a good company is employee retention and its great to have the same person who installed the irrigation 7 years ago do the repairs. Richard personally follows up on my property and even goes the extra mile to replace plants during the season that die without ever having to call and ask. I trust his judgment entirely and continue to use him for all my current day landscape needs. I will admit that the standard's I have for the landscape are very high and my eye for detail is very sharp, therefore I couldn't be the easiest client to have but you would never sense that from talking with Richard. You will not find another landscaping company with the people, skills and attention to detail this company posses.

His crew was prompt and did a thorough and professional job. We liked the choice of plants and their placement. Overall we are extremely satisfied with R&R Landscape. We plan on using this firms' services in our back yard.

Richard was polite and professional and willing to work within my budget. We were unable to arrange a time that would meet both of our needs. I would use him in the future.

Richard came out and looked around and I told him what I would like to have done. He said "no problem" and that he would "call me back with an estimate in 3 days". I never heard from him again. And, when I tried to call he didn't return my calls. So I am very unhappy with their services. However, I found someone else that a friend recommended and he is doing a great job. So I think I got the best company for the job I needed done and by R&R refusing to complete their commitment to me..

R&R Landscaping is a company with integrity. Richard guaranteed my lost plants due to the harsh winter and replaced them without delay. I love the transformation of my yard and have been very happy with the work from Richard and his crew.

They called prior to coming out and were professional and very helpful. They even rescued a bench that my late husband built around the tree, and moved it to my patio per my request. The quality of their work was outstanding and they were all very friendly. They cleaned up the area around the yard. And, all four men looked like they enjoyed their work. They smiled and told me what they were doing prior to doing anything. I think everyone should use them (can't find a more professional, friendly and informative crew anywhere).

Absolutely the finest experience I've had with a local contractor. We started by researching Angie's List looking for the highest rated landscape companies in our area. We selected the top 3 and requested quotes from each. Richard Barnor, R&R Landscape Inc. was the first to respond. When he arrived (promptly and exactly as promised), he immediately instilled a sense of confidence not born of any slick marketing tactic but rather from a deep understanding of his profession and profound experience. I knew immediately that this was our man. Nevertheless, we waited for the other 2 service providers to get with us and offer their quotes and opinions because they too were highly rated Angie's List providers. Unfortunately, these other 2 providers did not respond as quickly and showed little enthusiasm for the work we needed done. And the irony of the bidding process was that R&R was not only the first to respond but provided the lowest bid among the 3 we requested. Ultimately, we signed on board with R&R to do the job. Keep in mind 2 peripheral facts; 1. this wasn't a big job by R&R's standards and 2. it was to be constructed at what is the busiest tine of the year for a landscape contractor (early Spring). Richard never made me feel anything but that I was the most important client he had regardless of the job at hand. Once the design work was completed (in a timely fashion), within days, R&R went about starting the project by laying the electrical work down before the waterfall installation & landscaping could begin. After no more than a week, Richard and his crew appeared (as pre-arranged; again with no delays) to get the job done. Three days to completion and we were thrilled with the results - beyond our expectations. Richard would personally drop in from time-to-time making certain that we were pleased with the progress of the project. We threw a few last minute curve balls his way and he handled them with restrained compliance and never even mentioned that there would be any up-charges as a result of our recent requests. It is important to note that as with any project, small problems might arise with materials, installation, etc. And we did have one or 2 minor issues that needed to be resolved. It's not that these things happen, it's all about how the company responds to the issues that matters and I can state with the utmost confidence that Richard and his crew addressed each one of our concerns within 24 hours and resolved them to our complete satisfaction. And again, never the mention of any additional charges as a result. Richard even went so far as to add some additional landscaping features that we never requested or expected simply because he felt it would improve the overall effectiveness of the backyard look we were trying to achieve. This, in and of itself, is extraordinary. My only regret is that I cannot upload a picture of the final product showing how beautiful the waterfall and landscaping turned out. R&R Landscape Inc has my highest recommendation to anybody in need of their services.

We moved to Plano in August 2012 and inherited a yard that needed both landscaping and new grass sod. I chose to use R & R Landscape, www.alwaysgreengrasstx.com I have been very pleased with their work. Richard, owner of the company, chose shrubs, plants, and flowers that all tolerate the dry Texas conditions. We went with cavalier zoysia sod that requires little water or fertilizer. The end result of Richard's work is outstanding. Richard is great to work with; he starts and completes the job before going on to another customer. He is honest and his crew is hardworking. We plan to continue using R & R Landscape in the future.

I got estimates from three different landscaping companies and Richards was by far the lowest (by $1,200). I was happy with the large difference in price, but I am not going to lie this worried me a little bit. This was a long term investment that I hoped to enjoy for years to come, so I didnt want to get burned just to save some money on the front end. Now a look back and can confidently say I made a great decision choosing R&R They came out early in the morning marked all of my sprinkler heads and then properly tilled and removed all of my current grass (bermuda and a few other types). They then brought in a truck with the new St. Augustine grass and began the process of rolling it out and installing it. After all the grass was laid out they used a machine to flatten and level the grass consistently across the yard. I spoke with Richard on the phone when the work was beginning and then he came by as it was getting close to completion to discuss any questions I had. One month later my yard looks great and my wife and I couldnt be happier with the level of service and pricing that R&R provided. I would definitely use R&R again in the future!!!

We were very pleased with R&R Landscaping. Richard was responsive and professional and his team did a great job. He provided us a detailed quote for the work to be done and was able to complete the project very quickly. The cost of service was very reasonable compared to other quotes we received.

They were amazing and they did a great and amazing job. We have an ongoing relationship with them and will probably use them going forward. We have a pretty large piece of property so it is an ongoing project. The price was a little on the high side but we think it had to do with the quality of the work. We think we got our money's worth. The owner was extremely professional and very courteous. Overall we had a great experience with them.

I would never use them again. He miscalculated the project with the materials as far as the quantities. It was not good. He ended up making my patio a lot smaller. He blamed me. When they do these things, they make it sound like one thing and it really is not. It was not for a weeks worth of landscaping, it was for an X number of man hours. It would be one guy working for 8 hours a day for 5 days or 4 guys for one day. Then I paid for the materials, which was another $1500. It was just a come on and I ended up paying more for my project. When I did the math I was spending $87 per man hour. It was not a good deal and it was just a way to get my business. It was within a reasonable amount of time. The quality of the work was good. He did not buy enough materials, so he had to cut some of it in half. The charge was the regular charge, it was just made to sound like a deal. The responsiveness was good.
