I cannot say enough good things about Richard and this company. I am super impressed at how quickly the job was done and how they went above and beyond what I had hoped for. My side yard was a complete mud pit and they have totally transformed it in a matter of about a week. I can't even believe that it's the same yard! I asked for bamboo to be put in along the fence, and they even trenched and lined so that the bamboo would not become invasive. They also saw that my fence was leaning and fixed that as well. I told Richard that I had concerns about the edging around the trees and he had it covered in the synthetic grass so my dog can't cut himself on it. This is the second house and the second project I have done with R&R and I will never use anyone else for my landscaping. I realize that the price may look high, but for what was done, I have no doubts I got a bargain. Thank you Richard and R&R for making my yard look AMAZING!

Richard came by for initial consultation. Very knowledgeable about what kind of trees to plant that would thrive in this area and that would suit our needs. He walked us through the process and gave advice on placement, height, and other trees on the property. Richard arrived with his crew and reviewed what they were going to do. They were punctual and courteous and went right to work. They made sure the gate was closed when they left (very important to me since I have dogs.) Project lasted a day and a half. At the end of the second day. Before the crew left, the used a leaf blower to clean up any debris from the pavement and left it spotless. Richard came by to check everything out and make sure it was done properly.He went over the irrigation system and let us know to call if we have more questions. He was also able to get us taller trees than originally discussed for the same price. The results were beautiful and we are very happy with how the yard looks. It was a very good experience and Richard is a pleasure to work with. We will definitely use again! We have a few more projects in mind in the near future. I would highly recommend.

Richard and his crew were great. They did what he said they would, in the manner he said they would do it, when he said they would do it, and charged what he said they would charge. We suggested several changes in mid-stream, which were all accepted cheerfully and were implemented without issue. We also added several items along the way, and the pricing was very reasonable. Overall, we are very satisfied with the finished project and would definitely call Richard and R&R for any similar work in the future. Our dogs (and we) especially appreciate them not having to go to the bathroom in mud. Good job, well done.

After about three weeks Richard, one of the owners, noticed some of the zoysia was not taking so he had his workers put down new Zoysia and then Richard purchased additional grub worm killer (organic). Now all of the Zoysia has taken and my yard looks great in both the shade and sunny parts. The thing that impressed me the most about R&R is whenever I called Richard he always answered the phone - even on Saturday's. He was very attentive to my concerns The workers who spent a couple days working in our yard were always punctual, friendly, and hard workers. They obviously took pride in the work they did and made sure we were happy with the results.

My husband called Richard and from what I know he returned the call just fine and what not. Richard came out to take a look around and I told him my ideas - take out all the burford hollies and mismatched bushes and put in boxwoods or sea green junipers and maybe throw in some monkey grass or something; he seemed to really get my vision and the look I was going for. He explained why he thought sea green junipers weren't a good idea (size) and why he thought the boxwoods would be a better fit. Even though I couldn't quite put into words that I liked the look of low but thick and manicured boxwoods, I wanted some height here and there to change it up and balance/anchor the landscaping, he knew what I was trying to say and suggested the Nellie R. Stevens...this was funny because I'd already researched them and liked their look and conical shape. He also gave us pointed out that we were over watering a crape myrtle in the front and gave us some pointers on maintenance as well as suggesting we move it out a little which we did. He made suggestions that I liked a lot about what we could do with the landscaping and even the back patio and our uneven/sloping backyard - we've had a couple of landscapers come out and offer suggestions about the slope, but no one had the idea Richard suggested about breaking up the space. He also talked about layering and what would give the front of the house depth and dimension (he didn't pressure though, it was more like an artist talking about a painting in progress). We are on a budget and just couldn't afford to go all out with the layering right now. We decided to start with the base layer and then we will add from there. Richard mentioned that he normally didn't do smaller projects like this but agreed that he would do this one so long as we didn't have a specific time frame during which it had to get it done. We didn't, and were fine with him getting around to us in a few weeks. He gave us an approximate time frame and the workers showed a couple of weeks later just like he said. They arrived and went straight to work...they were done in no time flat. Everything we talked about...how I was seeing it in my head while we were talking, is exactly how it was done. They did a great job...now I sit in the office and watch all my neighbors walk by and do double takes at the landscaping & massive new sconces we installed, ha ha. I could be wrong but I think they are nods of approval. Would i use Richard again? Yes. He's cool and so far I'm a happy camper. I would refer him in a heartbeat.

I called Richard and told him exactly what we wanted to do. A complete redo of the entire sprinkler system in the front and back flower beds, repair damage to the flower bed retaining wall, replace several dead plants and shrubs, replace a dead tree, and replace an existing tree with something new. He made an appointment to come by and he showed up a couple of hours late, but did text me that he would be late. We spent about an hour going over everything and he finally told me that he didn't really do jobs this small (??? stone work, shrubs, trees, lawn irrigation...), but he would do the job between his larger projects. I'm surprised he wasted both our times since he knew exactly what I wanted before he came. He told me he would get me a proposal and also some additional suggestions that we discussed. I have not heard a word from him in four weeks.

We could not have been more pleased than we are. Richard was AWESOME to work with. He offered ideas that we did not even consider, then he transformed our yard into something so beautiful, I don't even know the right words to describe what he has done for us. Richard and his workers were so punctual, and professional, I can't say enough good things about all of them. You talk about hard working people and it was so obvious they cared about the finished product, like it was their own yard they were working on. I will hire Richard and his crew later when our needs arise to have work done in our back yard, and I would recommend this company to EVERYONE. This man put the biggest smile on our faces, and not to mention the curiosity the neighbors are exhibiting. I do hope people read this review and maybe he will do for you what he has done for us. This guy is great!!!! Very very reasonable pricing Shopped around---his pricing was much lower so I was suspicious at first. But to my pleasant surprise he worked out to be first class. No surprises, very customer orientated, professional attitude, good work, responsive to concerns, and very reasonable. Hard combination to beat (no -I am not related and I never met him till he bid on my yard!). HIRE THIS GUY-you will not be diappointed

The services provided were executed VERY professionally and with a great level of detail. All was done as promised. Richard was great to deal with and a true professional. We had several contractors working on our home at the same time, causing inconveniences that Richard delt with professionally. I would definately recommend their services to anyone.

The wall looks excellent, the neighbor's sprinkler heads all still work, as do mine. They worked both with me and my neighbor to ensure our satisfaction.

R&R was on time and on budget. Brought enough people to do the job right and in time constraints they set. R&R is very knowledgeable and professional will work with you and your budget and provide the most bang for the buck.

Very pleased with the job Richard and his crew did for us. Richard is very professional and his crew was friendly. He did not take short cuts. He checked our drainage first as I requested as I had concerns. His crew also cut around all sprinkler heads nicely and I also have multiple termite bait stations in the yard which he also had his crew cut holes for. Would absolutely use Richard again and recommend him. He will follow up and make any tweaks/get things to right/to your satisfaction. Richard is substance over style and I mean that as a compliment. Don't be alarmed because Richard does not pull up in a truck with fancy graphics all over it. His work and service I found top notch.

Called Richard to redo landscaping in the backyard. He came out the same day and I had a quote within 24 hours. Richard is very professional and organized. He kept all of his commitments to me. I loved the way everything turned out. After wasting 5 months waiting on 3 other landscapers to finally get to my job, Richard was a blessing.

The team arrived slightly delayed but Richard advised me in advance. They came fully prepared with their materials. Richard provided direction to the team and then left for a period of time. They were extremely thorough and started by cleaning up the beds in the front and then worked their way around to the back of the house. The team was polite, worked thoroughly and Richard returned to evaluate the work and asked them to tweak a few things. Richard was pro-active making suggestions throughout and was very polite, timely and professional with his quotations etc. I would highly recommend this group.

In preparation for putting my house on the market, I hired R & R Landscaping to improve the curb appeal. I tried for years but could never get grass to grow in my front lawn, where there is a mix of shade and sun and the soil is a mix of clay and sand. Richard put in Zoysia grass which has been growing beautifully for nearly 3 months now. It looks like an emerald-green carpet-- no sod lines, no bald patches. I wish I had known about this option a long time ago! The new plantings around the front of the house are visually appealing, and the roots will not interfere with the foundation or plumbing. There was one small bush that I asked them to preserve, and they were very careful to follow my instructions. The crushed granite is a good option for the side area, which used to be a mud pit. My neighbors have all been giving me compliments on the yard's new look and asking about who my landscaper is. Richard knew I was in a hurry, and he and his crew got the work done extremely fast. I've worked with other landscapers in the past, and R & R is significantly better-- more knowledgeable, more competent, more professional. I plan to keep them on call for when I buy a new house.

Richards team was on punctual, worked very hard to complete the work in a reasonable amount of time and really did a great job of handling the tasks. The crew was very professional, respectful our home and really did a great job. His team missed a gap that we discussed, but when I contacted him via text, he responded very quickly and made sure we knew what he was planning to do and when. His team came back to the house, completed the work very quickly and was very polite and professional. I would recommend his work to anyone.

Richard met with me to see the site and discuss what I needed. I had a bad experience with my last landscaper who would not make good on his employees work. Original retaining wall in my front yard needed some stones redone because of erosion on the East side of entry walkway (I have a steep slope from the street to my porch and needed control over losing my ground). The wall was missing stones in one place on the bottom row and had not been sloped correctly to keep erosion under control. I also decided to continue the top stone around the property line back toward the house. Richard suggested some improvements to keep the water/rain runoff from my uphill neighbors yards from washing out my lawn. Richard ended up taking up the entire retaining wall and resetting (mixing in another color for better contrast with the house). He also continued the retaining wall on the West side to the crushed granite walkway on that side. This sounds simple, but with the yard not only slopes South to North, but also East to West. His men were knowledgeable and courteous and had no problem changing anything objectionable (I did not like small stones mixed with large stones, so we adjusted the wall just a little to mix with 1/2 stones). The communication was good. The days were hot and humid but Richard's crew worked steadily and in good humor. Richard added perennial plants and native grasses and bushes, compost and even large rocks to complete the project (we did not discuss rocks, but they really gave a pop to the yard; I did not think of that). He had no problem with returning anything I did not like and I now have exactly what I envisioned but could not communicate. Richard read my mind! He also gave me a yard I can keep up with instead of struggling against nature. My dad was a florist and I remember him doing this type of work when I was growing up so I am acquainted with all the effort it takes. Richard is very busy and I asked him to do a small job compared to his normal customers. He was very gracious to help me out. I know he had to juggle his customers to fit me in and he doesn't do smaller jobs, but he took pity on me and I am proud to say he is a blessing. I have peace of mind now and know my neighbors have a lovely landscape to enjoy along with me. Almost forgot, he also continued my curshed granite walkway on the West side to the backyard (nothing but weeds would grow in this area). I am completely satisfied with this experience.

I thought that Richard and his workers did an excellent job. I received 3 other bids on the wall of which two were significantly higher, however, all four people bidding on the project described the materials and process to be done as the same. I felt like I received the same service at a very reasonable cost. Richard explained in detail the process which he and his workman would use. They were timely. I made sure I was home the day the wall was to be installed, so I was able to see it periodically from start to finish. They did what they said they were going to do. There were plenty of workmen to do the job and they stayed until into the evening. Everytime I walked outside they were hard at work. The retaining wall looks good and is just as I expected it to be. The service was outstanding and the materials exactly what I requested. I could not have asked for things to go any more smoothly.

Richard was a pleasure to work with in the design and installation of a stone pathway and stone patio seating area in my backyard. He provided straightforward feedback during the design phase, offered valuable direction and advice in aesthetics and overall design. He provided valuable technical considerations regarding drainage, leveling, and selection of stone so that I was confident in the decisions I made. I am extremely pleased with the overall results. The quality of work was excellent. He was considerate and accommodating in the scheduling and timely completion of the project. Richard was accessible to me before, during and after the project's completion; answered all questions to my satisfaction and continues to offer helpful advice when needed as I plan future phases in the design of my garden. Overall, a positive experience. I will definitely use Richard's services on future landscaping projects.

Too expensive and less professional than competitors

I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO HEAR FROM HIM FOR OVER 3 WEEKS BUT I HAVE FINALLY GIVEN UP. I WILL LOOK FOR SOMEONE WHO KEEPS HIS PROMISE.
