Description of Work: They replaced the old garage door unit with a new belt-drive motor, new sensors, interior controller, plus replaced the rollers and installed a new external controller. They had been out just over a year prior and replaced the sensors. I then experienced intermittent problems with the motor and had them out two times prior, neither of which they charged me for, since they had done the work within the prior year. They did an excellent job and I'm very pleased with the results - I can barely hear my garage door open and close, plus I now have a motion sensor in the garage so the light turns on automatically if I go in there from the house. It is also convenient having the new control on the outside. I found them to be very professional and the garage was spotless when they were done. It has been over two months and no problems at all to report.

Description of Work: My garage door cable somehow became tangled on one side preventing the door from operating. I called Plano Overhead Garage Door POGD) after calling a company I used in the past prior to becoming an Angies list member. I was charged almost $500.00 to replace a broken spring and add new rollers. When I researched the company I was unable to find them on Angies list. The phone number still worked but the name of the company changed. When I looked on the Dallas BBB site I found they had a D rating. I immediately cancelled the service call with the "Not to be named company with the D rating" and called POGD. They had a technician in the area and was at my house within an hour. They performed a garage tune up , repaired the cable, made adjustments and lubricated the entire system. The technician explained what he was doing and recommended monthly maintenance to keep it running smoothly. I was very happy with the service from start to finish. I will definitely use them again for all my garage door needs.

Description of Work: Garage door would not stay down. Repaired and tightened springs and did an overall service on two garage doors. I made the call late afternoon on a Friday and they sent someone out in one hour. I was impressed! This is the second time I used them and will certainly again. Both times I received great service.

He also installed new rollers and now you can't hear the door opening or closing unless you're in the garage, and even then it is extremely quiet! Great work!!

Description of Work: Plano Overhead Garage Door came out and gave me an free estimate on what was needed to stop the garage door from making the terrible sound it was making when it opened and closed. As it turns out, the top panel of the door was warped and cracking, plus the wrong springs had been installed a couple of years ago by a different company. Since the door was 15 years old, rather than replacing just the cracking panel and springs, I opted for a new insulated door. Even though the technician was almost an hour late on the install day (I did receive a call about the delay), the work was done in the time said it would take. The technician was very pleasant, clean, answered questions and explained the warranty. He even did additional work to better support the existing door opener. The new door opens and closes quietly and looks great!

Description of Work: Replace an ancient garage door opener with a new Liftmaster model. They came on time on a weekend for no additional charge. Everything now works smoothly, quietly and I love it. The technician took time to explain the operation, setup and all the bells and whistles of the new system to me. I really thought they did a great job. He even oiled the track and checked that the door was aligned and in good condition. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone.
