Our technician Eric was very punctual and professional, The biggest issue was removing the old crammed to the gills panel (much smaller than what replaced it) and then running the wires through the attic(plenty of space in the attic) it was a very warm and humid day when he was running the wires. I would not hesitate to have them out again. Eric took the time to answer all my questions about what was he was doing and the reasons.
Description of Work: We had the old 37 year old(Sylvania) main panel replaced, an outdoor sub panel installed on the patio and 2 extra circuits installed into one bedroom/home office. Also new grounding and whole house surge protection.

I recently purchased several ceiling fans and hired Mr. Electric (through Home Depot) to install them. On the first visit, no work was performed because the technician did not have all of the required tools with him (which led me to wonder why he even bothered coming in the first place?). I asked if he could at least install one fan in the master bedroom in the meantime, until he could come back to finish, but he said he wanted to install all of the fans at the same time. Frustrating, but understandable. I had just started a new job and took the day off from work to have the fans installed, and could not miss another day of work. We therefore rescheduled the installation for the following Saturday. The technician advised that someone from his office would call me later in the week to confirm the appointment. However, no one ever called. On Friday evening I called to see whether the appointment was still scheduled, and I was informed that the appointment had been pushed back one week and that the technician was supposed to call and let me know about the change of plans. I am glad I called, because their office is closed on Saturdays and I would have been unable to find out why no one showed up at my house. On the following Saturday (my third attempt to have the fans installed), the technician called me approximately 30 minutes before he was scheduled to show up to ask whether the roads in my area were driveable, as Dallas had just been hit by a huge rainstorm. I told him that no roads were closed in my area and that I had been out driving and running errands all morning with no problems. He then told me that he may have a babysitter issue if his wife also had to go to work. I asked whether she was actually at work, and he said no. He then cancelled the appointment after trying to worm out of it by using two flimsy excuses. Finally, no one from Mr. Electric ever followed up with me to make a new appointment. I read reviews of this company before I hired them, and I am sure that plenty of people have been fully satisfied with their work. However, I will absolutely not ever hire them again due to the three failed attempts for someone to actually do the work for which they were hired, and their astonishing lack of communication and coordination between their office, their technicians, and their customers.

They were really good and they did a really good job. The price was pretty good because I know we would not have picked them if it wasn't.

These guys were great. I spent some time just walking over what I wanted. They went to town, came back with questions if something came up, installed the lights in the trees, took them down, and got better ones, as he felt they were too cheap looking for the yard. I thought that was thoughtful. These guys were crawling under the deck, through the attic and in the trees, and did a really great job. I know the price may sound high for what was done, but they were here most of the day, and it was more work than it looks like on paper.
Description of Work: Had an entire 1200 sq ft deck run with outlets- approx 5 boxes. Replaced two lights that no longer worked up in trees. Also changed out 5 odd light switchs that worked off a transmitter, but seemed to have a mind of their own.

Tom came to the house as scheduled and gave us a complete written estimate. We also called 3 other electricians for a bid - two never returned our calls and the third gave us an estimated price over the phone. When we called Tom to perform the work, he returned our call promptly and arrived at the appointed time. He worked all day and did a beautiful job - for exactly the amount of his quote. Later the city building inspector commented that he had never seen a job done any better. A MAJOR NOTE: This contractor is listed under Mr. Electric, which is a franchise he no longer associates with. His listing should be "Everything Electric."

My experience with them was a disaster and I was not happy at all. The installer actually dropped my fan and broke it. There was a piece that he did not put on which started to cause damage and then when he came back out to fix it, he used tape. It was an awful experience.
Description of Work: I had them put in a new ceiling fan in my kitchen and my living room.

Initial call to answering service was very good and a call was returned from the contractor within minutes. Contractor said they would arrive between 8:30-9 AM the next day and they were right on time arriving at 8:45. Two clean cut electricians arrived, performed a quick system diagnostic, explained the problem and pricing and replaced the part quickly. They also were nice enough to ask me if I needed anything else done while they were there.
Description of Work: Electrician replaced a faulty circuit breaker in my electrical panel that kept tripping. Replaced 2 single pole breakers for a double pole breaker.

I called to set up an appointment based on a report issued by a home inspector. In discussing what was suggested by the inspector, the electrician who took my call explained that the work I was calling about was not a safety issue, but would bring my home up to current standards. My home is grandfathered under codes of homes built in '79. He suggested that if I am selling my home soon (I am) he would wait until it is under contract to perform this work. The changes the inspector suggested, while they make sense and could be done fairly easily, are not critical to the integrity of my home's electrical system. As this work could be costly, at the present time I opted to make these items part of a contract negotiation with a buyer and not to complete the work now.
Description of Work: No work was performed.

I have used this company several times. They are always polite and punctual. I highly recommend them and I will definitely call them for future electrical needs.
Description of Work: I had them out this time because we kept tripping a GFI outlet. When the representative arrived, he took the time to explain to me some of the usual causes for this. He noticed that someone had re-caulked the outlet on our front porch (we are new owners) and that it was next to a sprinkler head. He said that it was possible that water from the sprinkler had gotten into the outlet - which is on the GFI circuit - causing the GFI to trip. As it happens, my roommate was testing the sprinkler system when the problem last occurred. I believe he hit the nail on the head with that explanation. Also I have a ''garage 'fridge'' on this same circuit, which he said would eventually cause trips because of the motor running hot. He wrote me an estimate for a ''special use'' outlet for the 'fridge and off he went - all at no charge.
