King moving company moved our 3 bedroom house from McKinney to Lubbock in 2010 and back this year. They have by far been the best moving company we've ever used. They moved our house contents twice over 300 miles each way. Each time they arrived exactly when they said they would, handled our contents with care (not one thing was broken or scratched), and performed the move in record time. We love King Moving Company!!

They were prompt, worked fast, treated my things respectfully, and really made moving day easy as possible. They were always asking were things went, rather than just putting them in the wrong spot, which I really appreciated. They were kind enough to take apart our baby's crib and then reassemble it in the new home...and it was done right! Not one thing was scratched or damaged in the move. I was impressed.

My experience with King Moving Co. was great from start to finish. I found them on Angie's List and called them based on reviews. Omar was conservative in his estimate - telling me he thought the move would take between 2 and 4 hours for a 3 man crew. He told me the hourly rate and that I would receive a discount from the Angie's List coupon. I touched base with the company about an hour before 1pm to see if they had a more specific timeframe than the one we discussed (between 1pm and 4pm) and I told him 2pm would be best for me. He said that would be great and the guys showed up a few minutes early. They were dressed in company shirts and were nice and professional the entire time. They finished the job in 2.5 hours (and I had over 60 boxes, some of which required two people to carry). I was very pleased with the timeframe and the cost (less than expected) and with the overall service in general. This company has definitely earned the A-rating. I'm glad I found them - best moving experience I've had...and I've moved 11 times in the last 14 years. :)

I moved from Huntersville, NC to Allen, TX. We had originally thought that 2 ABF trailers would hold all of our posessions for the move, but it truned out that we had more than we thought, and we had to rent a 17' U-Haul truck. I had originally hired King Moving Company to have 4 men unload the ABF trailers, and they were supposed to start unloading at 07:00 on Friday. When we found we had more than we originally thought, and with the fact that we HAD to finish unloading on Friday, I contacted Omar with King Moving on Wednesday. Omar suggested we use 5 movers and start at 06:00 instead, and he assured me that they would indeed get us completely unloaded with plenty of time to spare on Friday. Well, long story short, they did sent 5 guys, they were there on time, went straight to work at 06:00 and as far as I saw never even took a break, a great job unloading, and were completely finished shortly after noon that day. I would absolutely recommend King Movers for your moving needs.

I called the company and spoke with Omar. We talked about availability and worked out when I was to move. I received an email confirmation that night. He came by a couple of days later to make sure he could move my stuff in the time allotted. My appointment was for 730am and the team was there shortly before that time. They moved everything very quickly and with care. They had to rent a truck because their normal truck had broken down. Turns out the rental was too small, however, they made 2 trips without billing us for the extra time needed. The men were fast and quick. The move was made a lot easier because they were so great. The price was great as well. $600 was with a tip. The moving company we used moving from Houma, LA to Plano, TX cost us $400 and that was only for the initial loading the truck and doesn't include truck rental, gas and unloading. Not long after the guys left I received a call from the owner of the company to make sure everything was ok and if we were satisfied with the job.

Very professional. Very fast. When they had me loaded and they left for McKinney I had planned on stopping for a burger but they were so fast that I didn't have time. The guys are hard workers and I would definitely use them again.

Everything was fine. Referred them to a friend who also used them.

King Moving Co. owner, Greg King, called me this morning to address my review on Angie's List. He wanted to take a moment of my time to explain the other side of the story. And, it was a chaotic day for him and his team the day before my appointment that led them to have to stay in Houston. He agreed with me that they fell down on their end of the deal and he wanted to make it right any way he could. I feel that Greg showed character in calling me and wanting to make everything right. He assured me he has taken away from this many lessons. Obviously, the reviews posted here on Angie's List are top notch and that's why I called King Moving Co. I imagine that what happened to me will seldom, if ever, happen again.

At first I was really impressed with the professionalism with which I was greeted. I even received a confirming email of my appointment. But unfortunately, I was displeased with the service (or lack thereof) I received. I understand hiccups in projects, as we all have them. BUT, I do not understand over-promising and under-delivering. I had a confirmed appointment for Wednesday morning at 9.00 am and received a call an hour before that the team was still in Houston (I'm in Dallas). I said I was available for two different times later in the day and was told they would call me to confirm for the first time - I had to call them instead. Omar told me he'd call me during a third set time and called me 45 minutes late. Omar confirmed he knew he wasn't going to make it back the evening before in time for our appointment and I did not receive a call from him when he knew! I was told the owner would actually come out at one point. Where was he/she during this??? 3 strikes and you're OUT!

Although my husband wasn't quite ready for them when King's employees arrived in Dallas to pick up our stuff, they were patient about letting him finish packing while they loaded most of the furniture and other boxes first. They delivered everything to us the next day in Dan Antonio, and it turned out to be the hottest day of the year so far, but King's two employees never complained. They showed up when they said they would, about 9 a.m., and worked all the way to 4 p.m. with only a lunch break. The only item which suffered any meaningful damage was our fridge, which somehow had its light assembly shaken loose. It still functions, but I had to get an appliance repair company to secure it properly) One other thing got broken, but it was just an inexpensive plastic trash can which my husband had filled with several other items, including a long metal hook for hanging a bird feeder. The hook got pushed against the bottom of the trash can and punched a hole in it. (The rest of my family, all veterans of multiple moves with the military, are envious of my success with King Moving!) I plan to use King Moving one more time to move my in-laws from one house to another in Dallas.

Omar came to our apt and gave us an estimate of the time required for our move. He estimated 3-4 hours, and this ended up being spot on. We had a crew of 3 movers that came on time as promised and moved our things as described above. They were very careful with our new wood floors, and this was greatly appreciated. They worked quickly, but carefully and were very responsive and patient as to furniture placement and set up in the new house. I would definitely use them again and totally recommend them to anyone looking to transport items. We were able to use an "Angie's List" discount coupon and this was factored in to the price that we paid.

I got a (very accurate) estimate range over the phone when I called to schedule my move. They sent 3 movers, which was perfect. They were prompt, professional, and careful with our belongings and home. They clearly knew what they were doing when it came to wrapping, padding, and the general "mover tetris" of loading things onto the truck. I have already recommended them to friends who are moving soon. They did a great job all around and I'll definitely hire them again if I need anything moved!

King Moving moved me for a second time! This time I moved from a three story townhouse to a single level house. I was definitely overwhelmed with the project. This is personal for Mr Greg King. Not only did the move cost exactly what was quoted but he followed-up to make sure everything was 'moving' the right way. The move was performed without incidents or accident. The gentlemen who did the heavy lifting were courteous and very hard working. There were no slackers on this job! I hope I don't have to move again soon but if I do, I will ask King Moving to do it.

I had to reschedule less than 24 hours before my move due to new house not being ready. These guys worked me into their schedule despite being very busy. The team worked well together and everything appears to be in good order. A great company with really nice staff. Lez

Didn't get them to move anything, because we ended up moving before our initial move day with them, but I thought they were awesome. Omar was prompt in answering his phone and communicating with me.

They did everything they said they were going to do. All of our belongings arrived in the same condition as when they loaded onto the truck. They were very attentive and handled everything with great care.

King Moving did an excellent job. They showed up early, moved quickly but carefully, and were very professional.

Excellent. Greg had Omar come provide a quote and follow up questions were promptly answered via email. His quote was very good for what ended up being 7 movers helping us. They all went right in and started moving large bulky items into the trucks - and did not stop until it was time to move it all to the next house. Dispite heavy rain mid day, the team never tired and never broke a thing. Also, each mover would let me know if they noticed something preexsisting before loading it - as to not have be surprised at the other end. I had never moved with such a large crew, but it would be the only way I'd do it in the future - very efficent! Greg called me the next day to check in, and I told him what a great job they did. What I really like is that his entire team works for him - no subcontract labor. A very good job by all, and the price was right.

I liked everything about them. They had good attitudes. They were efficient, on time, experienced, and professional.

The overall experience was very positive and I will definitely use them again for any of my moving needs and will refer them to anyone needing movers.

I called King Moving on Tuesday, 29 May 2012, for an estimate on moving furniture from my storage shed to my home garage. After getting 3 other estimates, I chose King Moving because of their competitive price & excellent Angie's List reviews. Omar offered me two options --- Tuesday afternoon ( the same day I called) or Thursday afternoon. Because of a schedule conflict on Tuesday, I chose Thursday between 1-4 pm. I requested 30 minutes' notice so I could get to the storage facility. I received the notification call at 1:30 pm & the crew was waiting for me when I arrived at 1:55 pm. They loaded my items quickly, efficiently & carefully then followed me to my home when they did the same unloading them. From start to finish, they completed the job in a little less than an hour. I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to family/friends or the Angie's List community.

We decided on King after seeing they had 102 reviews and STRAIGHT A's (unheard of for a mover!!) and also after speaking with Omar who was great. Because I called only a couple weeks before the move, I was only able to secure a midday move. I looked at some other companies that could start in the morning, but King's reviews made us decide it was worth waiting till midday. We are so glad we did. This move was a dream... at least as much as a move can be. :-) Four professional movers arrived on the early side of the window they provided and they called us 30 minutes ahead to let us know they were on the way. They were very skilled and very STRONG. They did not even flinch about moving our EXTREMELY heavy treadmill down the stairs, plus several very heavy pieces of wood furniture including large armoires and dressers. After watching them for a few minutes I knew that I didn't have to fear my furniture or goods being damaged - they truly know what they are doing and communicate well with each other. They worked steadily and completed our entire move in about 5 hours. Their rate was competitive....not the absolute lowest I found but very compatible with several other quotes I received. 100% worth it for the amazing work these gentlemen did. We will be moving again in 6 months as this was a temp move, and we will be using them again for sure! I am very grateful to Angielist for helping me find a company that made a major move so painless.

These guys are great! With only 4 days notice on a Holiday Weekend, they were able to help me move into my new townhome. They showed up on time (3:00pm), were professional and efficient (completed the move @ 6:00pm)! They even provided me recommendations on how best to set-up the location of my furniture. As a single woman, I felt safe and taken care. I would definately use them again as well as recommend them to my friends/family.
