Well, here I am once more, it's been five years since my last review and my Barletta fence is now 29 years old and still going strong. I just had it power washed yesterday and re-stained today. The technician (from another company) was in awe of how old the fence is. His words were, "It's a beautiful, well-constructed fence." At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if this fence out lives me! 🙀😹

I have been living in my Plano home for about 2 years now and my fence was old enough that I decided to replace it. In traveling through the neighborhood, some of the best built fences had a “Barletta Construction” nameplate. So I decided to give them a call and and spoken with Julio - the owner. Julio was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. When he came to the house to measure the fence, he reviewed every detail and made meticulous notes. He was prompt about getting a detailed quote back to me and was extremely easy to work with. The price was in line with my budget expectations based on the quality of the fences I have seen - Not the bottom price estimate, but the by far the best value in terms of quality. His crew came out to the house as scheduled and did an excellent job. They installed an 8’ fence that replaced an old 6’ fence along with correcting any of the foundational issues from the old fence. What we were left with is exceptional!! This truly transformed our backyard and gives us additional privacy, plus an upgrade to the aesthetic. I would highly recommend Julio and Barletta Construction.

JC Barletta Construction met my specifications as his standard construction practices include, Mix concrete in mixer, Fence pole depth 36", Gate pole depth 48", Cedar grade, just to name a few. I elected for pre-dip stain wood material, knowing I would need to re-stained the fence in three years, but this protects the investment and how one has a fence standing for 20 years without replacement. Go for the best, choose JC Barletta Construction!

Julio Barletta and company installed our fence in September 1995. Yes, I know this review is kind of late :). I just wanted to add my two cents worth. Twenty four years of hot, baking summer sun; pouring down rain; wind storms; hail storms; and everything else North Central Texas weather can throw at it, this fence still looks brand new. The backyard is on a 15 degree incline. The fence is 8 ft. level top, board on board, clear cedar. Over the courser of time, the fence has been power washed and re-stained 3 times. In Texas, if you don't maintain your fence, you are asking for disaster. People are astounded when I tell them how old it is. Most think I must be mistaken. I tell them when it was installed and then tell them to do the math. Again, I just wanted to add my voice and reaffirm what other reviewers have said. Barletta fences are the gold standard.

The fence process went smooth, and the construction was high quality. Unfortunately, after the new fence was up, they weren’t able to grind the stump due to the area being too small for their equipment. This is despite agreeing to do the work upfront. We are extremely disappointed that Barletta Construction wouldn’t honor their initial agreement, and we consider this unprofessional. The only concession they proposed to make was to remove $125 from our bill, the cost of renting a stump grinder (I e. no labor cost). This was not itemized on our original quote, but we know it will cost us much more than this to get this done correctly, especially now that the new fence is up.

Barletta gates & fences have exceptional quality and craftsmanship. Julio and Mary are wonderful people and always put the customer first. We are extremely happy with our new gates and fence. Arbor staining isn't what they do, but the fence staining was very good. We will be recommending Barletta to all of our neighbors.

Results were exactly what was expected and agreed on. Only thing i would say is that the work schedule was a little unpredictable and the project took about 11 days, with work on-site on 7 of those days. Completion was about 4 days later than originally estimated. The start date was about two weeks later than originally planned, purportedly because they wanted a particular crew to do our job because of some of the challenges. They did keep us updated on the schedule for the most part. Overall this would not negatively impact my decision to use them in the future, but something you may want to be aware of if you have scheduling constraints. If you are looking for a high quality fence, these guys know how to build them.

The job turned out beautifully. They also built a decorative header over the gate. Luis, the foreman and constructor of the fence, is a wonderful craftsman who adds great detail to his work. Julio, the owner, is very friendly and knowledgeable and addressed all our concerns. We are very happy with this great addition to our backyard.

Julio Barletta, the business owner, came to meet us to provide an estimate for our job. He was very thorough and professional, and he spent a lot of time going over details of the work he would do. He made many practical suggestions that we hadn't thought of. We decided to separate the work into stages, and Julio bid them separately. We agreed on a price, and he advised that his crews were behind due to the rains we had been having. He kept us up to date on when the work would begin, and his communication was excellent. The work took several days, and his crew was very hard working and professional. The fence and gates are absolutely beautiful, and better than most, if not all, in the neighborhood. His post holes are dug deeper than most, so the fence and gates are very sturdy. We did have one minor mishap when a phone line was cut during the digging, but that may have been due to the heavy rains which followed the utility locate. We did not realize how bad our original fence was until we saw Julio's work. His prices are competitive, and you will be very happy with his work. Highly recommended!

Julio is a unique guy and quite the craftsman. Well I should actually say his crew are the craftsman since they end up doing all the work. Over the years I have noticed Barletta and the fence work because of how unique and interesting it was. Most people can build a fence but not many can really build a great fence. Talking to Julio and walking around the yard to discuss the project you get a good feeling that he loves this work and puts a lot more pride in it than others. My neighbors across the street last year went with another fence company so I decided to get a quote from them and the salesman was very young, very absent minded and didn't really want to listen to what I had to say. Julio listened to my concerns and my ideas and was all in favor of them. Jorge and the rest of the crew turned out a truly amazing fence in the end. They ran into limestone in our area and instead of giving up like the fence company did across the street and tell them they couldn't go further with out charging an extremely high extra cost Julio and the gang went and got the right drill bit and made it happen. As another person said the fence in the end was a work of art. I haven't had it up more than 24 hours with out someone saying it was beautiful. If you want quality and a top of the line fence go with Barletta, in the end you won't regret the cost because of what you are getting.

We love our new fence, and have received several compliments from our neighbors. Julio and his company and crew are really more like craftsmen than just simple fence builders.

Julio (Owner) is a very nice man, punctual and he cares about the way his company does business. I have recommended him to 4 or 5 people so far and they all seem happy.-

Exceptional service. I liked my friends fence, and they highly recommended Barletta. My back door neighbor got a Barletta fence when he was ready because he liked mine. The only reason I gave them a "B" on price is because they are a little high....but you get what you pay for.

From the estimate to project completion, Julio was extremely thorough, professional, and friendly. He was truly a pleasure to do business with. The entire crew obviously took great pride in their work, and with good reason because the quality was top notch. In the end, I was extremely satisfied with the finished project.

Overall, I was very satisfied with the work and quality of the fence installed. In fact, the fence is a work of art. Barletta specializes in higher-end fences and the one they installed for me is definitely the nicest in the neighborhood. I've received many compliments on the fence, especially from others in the construction business (roofers, painters, etc.) The crew that installed the fence did an amazing job and were, for the most part, easy to work with. The crew chief did a good job updating me on the progress, asking my preferences and seeking input, as well as explaining the installation process. Mr. Barletta is very friendly and knowledgeable about fence construction. I appreciated that he was not pushy or aggressive like some of the other companies who provided estimates. If there is one thing Mr. Barletta might do to improve service it would be to reply a little more quickly to phone inquiries and questions. But overall, I can strongly recommend Barletta Construction.

These guys originally built this fence 10 years ago, did a fantastic job and we had them it stain as well at the time ( well worth the $400 cost then). It has held up very well but had become faded by the sun in places and was hit by some hail last summer. After a false start with another company, Sal with Barletta came out to look at it, gave me a very good price and then Francisco came later to power wash and then again to apply the stain several days later. He was very polite and thorough. He did get a little sloppy with the overspray but cheerfully came out again the next day to clean that up. The 10 year old fence looks brand new.

They did a good job. They installed the fence and it’s sturdy. Their price was okay. They were in line with the other fence companies that I contacted.

.JC Barletta was competitive in price and absolutely outstanding in quality. Julio was full of information on the construction, but the things that stood out were sinking the posts 4' deep and using thicker walled posts. My next door neighbor had a fence constructed after ours that looked similar originally, but now you can see the fence starting to move due to the posts leaning. Ours is still laser straight. During construction of our fence my neighbor across the alley stopped by to look at it and when he saw the quality of the build, he contracted JC Barletta to build his fence.

I was very happy with the service. They respond very quickly when maintenance is needed. The quality of the fence is excellent, the gate has been excellent in all kinds of weather including in last year's bad winter. They are professional and stand behind their work. The price is good especially for the quality.

The 3-man crew took exceptional pride in their work and they were more than willing to work with us on any changes that we wanted. These guys are truly experts at what they do and I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone. The quality of the completed fence is outstanding. And the old fence was completely removed and clean-up was thorough. Do allow plenty of time between estimate and having the work done...they were booked six weeks out.

Barletta had constructed the fence around our back yard originally, but we don't know when. The fence was already several years old when we purchased the house in 2004. I decided to call them to fix it, figuring that they would be the best people to fix what they had installed, particularly since the job had been done well the first time. Mr. Barletta came out and gave us an estimate about a week after we had the tree cleared away, but he said that the company was busy fixing storm damage and wouldn't be able to come and fix it for at least 3 weeks, and even then, the job would probably have to be done in stages (putting in three new posts in concrete, replacing the damaged-beyond-repair pickets on the fallen section, and re-mounting the fallen section). It actually took 4 weeks for Barletta to come out, but when they did, they were able to do everything in one day instead of spreading out the job over a week or two. A couple of my neighbors suggested that the price of repair was somewhat high, but we are satisfied because the quality of the repair matches the quality of the original installation.

They have the best price out of the once that we looked at. We had to share the fence with four neighbors. They were able to work with all of us. They were able to give us some discount, based on the fact that they were doing so much work with all of us. They did a nice trip drawing, and the detailed things about how the cost would break down to each one of us. We have been interacting with the owner, and he is been great. He is easy to work with. We like them. They are working with us now, but have not completed it yet.
