Award winning. Owner operated. Nancy offers a free, in-home consultation for prospective clients so that she can see the problem area(s )and answer homeowner's questions. Each actual organizing session is subject to a 4-hour minimum. Additional time is prorated based on the hourly rate of $65/hr. Payment is due at the end of each appointment. Payment methods include cash, check, Zelle, Venmo or PayPal. Helping Hands is happy to offer a referral bonus of a free 5th hour for you after your referral completes their first 4-hour appointment. She was amazing. I told her I can tell that she really enjoys helping others straighten their spaces. She didn't judge me or try to make me throw things away. We just worked together for 4 hours finding a place for everything. And when we were done she went upstairs and did my sons closet as well. She is very thorough. Nancy is terrific! This is our seventh move in 19 years, and I decided to treat myself with a professional organizer with this move/unpack. I had a busy first day directing movers, while Nancy got to work lining shelves and evaluating space. The next day, I had an all-day work meeting and couldn't be at home - she unpacked all our kitchen items and perfectly organized everything. I have never had such a well-organized kitchen in my LIFE. I strongly recommend Nancy; she spent three days at our home and was worth every penny.

I found Nancy here on Angie's List after deciding that I really needed to make sense of my kitchen and home office drawers. Nancy stopped by for a quick orientation and came back a couple of days later to do the work. Within 45 minutes of arriving she had my entire kitchen dismantled, and she worked extremely quickly and efficiently to categorize items and decide where it was best to place all of them. She helped me consolidate, throw away, categorize, and even find a few things I didn't even know I had. :-) It's something I've been meaning to do for 2 years since moving into my home, and I didn't know that 5 hours worth of Nancy's time could give me such a relieved, cleansing feeling! Now I know where everything is and won't be frustrated every time I try to find something in my formerly cluttered drawers and cabinets. I'd use her again in a heartbeat and will gladly refer Nancy to my clients and friends who need her services.

Nancy contacted me within 24 hours and scheduled a consult for the next day. My brother became suddenly ill and my mom and I flew out from CA to be with him. When it became obvious he would need 6-12 months of physical rehab the decision was quickly made to move him back with family in CA. We needed someone to pack up my brothers house as his things would need to be stored for an extended period of time. Nancy was prompt, reliable, and packed things with amazing detail and care. She finished in a timely manner and was a life saver during this trying time. I give her my highest recommendation.

We organized my master closet. Once she listened to my thoughts, she had suggestions that I had not thought of. She was wonderful to work with and the time spent was like having a friend over verses hiring a person to do a job. My closet turned out beautiful and it is easy to find what I want, and to keep it maintained. We spent 3.5 hours. Well worth my money!
Description of Work: rearranged hanging clothes, cleaned out drawers, folded and organized closets, redid my jewelry. Then went into the master bathroom and rearranged drawers and shelves.

Nancy is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. We look forward to working with her in the future. We had to modify the meeting time because of a doctor's appt that ran long and Nancy was very accommodating, so even though she said the time she spent with us would be considered an estimate and would be free, we felt that her time was definitely valuable and decided to pay her for her work.
Description of Work: We set up an appt with Nancy to help get my sister-in-law organized before moving to an assisted living facility. Nancy showed up on time and brought a wealth of knowledge and resources to the house. We talked for just over an hour about the situation, what needed to happen in the move, how to get organized, etc. Nancy offered to help us pack and organize, but it became apparent early in the conversation that we were not yet at that stage (my sister-in-law hadn't really decided what to take and what to leave behind). We were all impressed with Nancy's professionalism and we will definitely use her a little further along in the process.

Awesome experience. This was the first time I ever had professional organization done. I am actually really good at it myself so never thought I'd benefit from using someone to help me out with my paper catastrophe. At this point in my life I was completely overwhelmed and had a number of new categories of paperwork so decided to call in Ms. Peham. The one hard thing was mentally preparing for her arrival because you do need to know what you want to do. That may sound intuitive, but when you are in over your head you sometimes can't focus on that. I had a pretty good idea of my general needs, but since this was all such a change from what I had done in the past I actually felt lost. Ms. Peham swooped in and, because I asked, told me exactly what to do. What a relief to not be the one driving the bus for once! As difficult as it was to work through the papers, when I was told "here's where you put keepers...here's the pile for questionable things...here's the trashcan for junk," it made the whole thing tolerable. I ended up with perfect files with labels created according to my specific needs, as well as lots of stuff in the trash (but it was all stuff that "should" be tossed -- it is comforting to have someone tell you it's okay to throw it away, you know?) I wanted to save money by not buying the entire Container Store suite of storage products, so other creative ways to group things were utilized. Overall I was thrilled, and paper organization is the hardest because YOU have to be so utterly involved. I would hire her again in a second to take over any project I need help with.

Good. Overall she knows her stuff and wants to make it all happen when she's there. Do use the service if you need help consolidating stuff. But use common sense first, then call her. Don't get your hopes up that you'll have manna from heaven with the secret to un-clutter your house and someone else is going to do all of teh work for you.
Description of Work: Had owner come over. Listen to what we were trying to accomplish and putting ourselves in her hands. It really just came down to common knowledge - if you don't use it, give it away, sell it, or just get rid of it. She worked hard to help us consolidate based on that principal. Our expectation was that we were told where everything needs to go and how to organize things... us listening and understanding the long term plan.

I spoke with Nancy to set a date and time. She came by for a free initial consultation and discussed her suggestions and how she thought we should approach things. I gave her a tour of my house so she could see other storage options and she had some good ideas of where things could be placed. Her rates were $50/hour with a 4- hour minimum. We both felt we could do the space in this amount of time. Not only was my closet disorganized, but the room itself was in disorder. Nancy arrived on the date and started right in. She did a lot of the stair climbing to place objects in their new home. She organized my space based on the craft and supplies so that it was a logical layout. I had many storage boxes already labeled and in place. Many of the things I had were fine, but some items were stored in storage boxes that could be better utilized and more appropriately categorized. At the end of the 4 hours I was exhausted. The closet looked soooo much better, the room was a little improved. By the end of the four hours I was too tired to work any longer. Even though the room itself was not where I wanted it to be, I decided to see if I could get it straightened up myself since the closet was perfectly done. I definitely think Nancy was a help in getting my things organized. She helped me determine what to keep and what to give away. I plan to have her come again when I get ready to do my garage, which will probably be an all day event.
Description of Work: I needed help organizing my office/craft room. I had a custom closet done a few years ago when I was into sewing, but my hobbies have changed and I needed help getting things moved out and organized for all my new crafts. The current organization of my closet space was not working any longer for me.

I contacted Nancy Peham the owner of Helping Hands about organinzing my elderly sister's new home following her relocation to the area. The furniture and boxes had been delivered from the move but due to my sisters poor health and our family's schedules the unpacking and organinzing was painfully slow. Nancy after gathering information about the size and objectives of the job said she could help. She did a tremendous job of organizing and working with my sister. I could not and my sister and her daughter could not have been happier. It took several sessions but it was a large job and Nancy did a great job of keeping me informed as to time estimates and her costs as well as any additional organization items
Description of Work: Basically Nancy Peham of Helping Hands completely unpacked and oirganized a three bedroom house with a single car garage.

Nancy arrived punctually and started out by asking questions about what exactly needed to be done. I showed her the main problem areas, and she assessed the situation. We started in the home office. She made suggestions about a plan of attack, then she worked steadily and stayed with it. She was calm and personable while still getting the job done. My main problem was getting to the next level; I had felt like I was stuck organizationally in our home, but Nancy helped me get unstuck!
Description of Work: There was an Angie's List Big Deal for Helping Hands, so I quickly grabbed that deal as I had been feeling so overwhelmed and disorganized!
