Paul and Jen were professional, courteous, and catered to our selective needs. Their crew were professional and clean. They were competitive in price negotiations and were open to customizing our floor covering. Paul was very creative and used Google Sketchup on the spot to design garage shelving. I would hire again and recommend.

There were several things Paul missed during the installation of the cabinets. The upper cabinets on either side of the house entry door were not level with the cabinets on the other side of the door. One of cabinets doors were rubbing when you tried to open them, so you effectively had to open/close them at the same time. Lights being installed under one of the cabinets was included in the invoice, but were never brought to the house to install. These were things it took me less than a minute to discover, but Paul was willing to leave without correcting any of these. I had to point them out after he had packed up his stuff to fix. To his credit, he will fix it if you bring it up. But you cannot trust that he will pay attention to the quality the work and fix things on his own. But the highlight of the problems was drilling into the main water pipe and how the situation was handled. Before the work began, I sent photos of all the walls involved with cabinets before the sheetrock was installed to help in avoiding hitting pipes and wires. On my way to work the morning of the second day of installing the cabinets, I get a call saying that a water pipe was hit, so I headed back home. Three screws were put into a wall to hold one of the cabinets and the third screw hit the main water pipe going from the street to the house. Water gushed from that wall until we got somebody with a tool to turn the water off at the street. There is a door in the wall with a big sticker that says Main Water Shutoff right above the damaged pipe. When I looked in it, I saw that the studs were all the way to the right. The photos I sent showed a few studs together about 8 - 12 inches to the right of this pipe. So it ends up that the 3 screws were all about 6-8 inches to the left of those studs. I brought this up with Paul, and all he said is that the pipe is crooked. That excuse makes no sense. He clearly did not use the photos or open the door to check where the studs were. One of the main reason I hired a professional was to avoid the very thing he did. I spent hours away from work waiting for the plumber and looking and waiting for somebody to fix the wall. Before Paul left that day, Paul asked for the amount I had to pay to fix the wall and said he would take that off of the estimate. The next time Paul came out after I paid to get the wall repaired, the first thing Paul said that morning was that he wanted the invoice for the wall repair. He could clearly see the wall was fixed and I had already told him the price, so that did not set well with me. I had already paid for all of the floor work the previous week and half of the cabinet work before the work began. So I had never demonstrated an issue paying on time. I would rather him be more focused on the details of the work. And when we went to settle the final invoice, Paul tried to charge me for the lights and labor of installing them, and he completely forgot to bring them to install. When I look at the final product, all but one of the cabinet doors are even with their corresponding door, and I notice this every time I look at them. I know that for one place in the slat walls, the screws definitely did not hit the studs, as I can feel the back of them through the main water door. Given the 3 screws that missed studs and the one that hit the water pipe, I have to wonder if there is any other damage from missing studs that we have not discovered yet. What should have taken 2 days took 4 days (including the 1 day for the wall repair) and I didn’t even get the lights. Throughout the process of getting the estimate for the work, Paul and I emailed each other numerous times. After the work was done, I sent him a long note about my disappointment. That was 6 weeks ago. I received no response. This lack of attention to detail is unacceptable when, especially when you are paying almost $8K.

We have been sprucing up our garage. Our concrete slab has been an eyesore for quite awhile, but we haven't been quite sure of exactly what we were wanting. We knew we wanted it to be a dark grey, but weren't quite sure of the treatment. Paul came over and spent quite a bit of time going through samples and options. He took the time to answer all questions and provided his recommendations as to what would work best for our needs. It took a day and a few hours of the following morning to complete the job. The employees doing the install were very friendly and diligent in their work. We have gotten quite a bit of compliments on the work and it looks absolutely amazing. It even exceeded our expectations! I would definitely do business with them again.

Jennifer did the initial measurement, discussed the choices and answered questions related to the process and timing. Scheduling a date that worked with their schedule and ours was very easy. The installation went extremely well and we are very pleased with the installation. Paul followed up and did some touch up the next day based on his observation of the work. The professionalism and customer service was outstanding. We are very happy with the installation.

Jennifer and Paul were consummate professionals. Very knowledgeable about their product and the benefits provided. We opted for the higher-grade coating so we don’t have problems down the road. The garage was first. Their crew was punctual, courteous and clean. Left the place spotless. Paul had to push back doing the driveway because of the weather. They were constantly monitoring it. The driveway was done a day later, which was fine because I didn’t not want rain and 30MPH wind to ruin the job. Wanted it done right the first time. I also got a quote for them to do the patio. I will hire them later for that job. Overall, our cars were exposed for 5 days. Not bad. Thank you Garagewerx!

I could not be more impressed with my new garage floor and Garagewerx. My garage floor looks incredible. I got the whisper grey color with the 1/4" medium broadcast Dakota flakes. They used a diamond grinder first (far superior to acid etching, which is done in cheaper epoxy flooring jobs), then all the cracks and crevices were filled in, and then the epoxy coats were put on. For no extra charge I was given an extra non-skid additive with helps to give the flooring more grip, making it easy to walk on without slipping. Given that I use my garage as my gym, this is important to me. My new garage floor comes with a vapor barrier (included in the pricing) which will prevent hydrostatic pressure from underneath the concrete slab from causing the epoxy to peel over time. I've seen epoxy floors from other companies that don't use vapor barriers start to peel after only 1-2 years. This allows Garagewerx to give a 10 year general warranty, and it should actually last much longer than that. Doug at Garagewerx was extremely professional and helpful throughout the entire process. He took the time to come out to my house and thoroughly explain to me the process, how everything works, all of the options and choices (he brought along a ton of samples so I could see how it would look in my garage), how to best care for my new floor, along with pricing. He did not try to upsell me on things I did not need, and actually recommended I go with a cheaper option since my garage would not have benefited from the more expensive options. The pricing is extremely reasonable, and other quotes I got for this level of quality of epoxy flooring came in at about 25% higher. I will definitely use Garagewerx again for my next house, and I'm already recommending them to all my neighbors and friends/family. They offer cabinets and overhead racks, which I will probably eventually have them install as well.

They came out the day before to paint some large grease spots with industrial stain remover and let it set overnight. The next day they arrived on time, and spent the next 8 hours prepping, painting, and texturing the floor. When it was done, the garage looked fantastic. We were very pleased with the end result, and love our new garage floor.

• From my very first contact with Garagewerx, I was treated with the utmost professionalism, courtesy, and respect from everyone I had any communication with (Jennifer, Angela, Paul, Chris, Jay). • There were a couple of times when someone was delayed and unable to be at the job site when they said they would. In every instance, I received a phone call explaining the situation. I can be very patient when there is communication. I can’t believe how many companies fail to provide that level of respect and courtesy. • I know I'm one of those guys that tends to ask a lot of questions. I like to know what’s going on. All of my questions were answered quickly and thoroughly, and they didn’t seem to mind my asking. • When asked, Paul and Jennifer were very gracious in providing help and suggestions in the design of the project. Their experience in the field was obvious and invaluable. • Even though I originally thought this was going to take two days, it didn't take too long to realize that the scope of this project was too much to be handled in just two days. We discussed the situation and looked at the options, and mutually agreed to take whatever additional time was necessary to make sure the job was done right the first time. We both agreed that they would not rush through the job. I’m so thankful there was no push to hurry up and get it done as originally scheduled. I tend to like the old saying, “If you don’t have time to do it right the first time, when will you have time to do it again?” • Although I really didn’t mean to be looking over their shoulders while they worked, I guess I was, at least a little. I was never made to feel like my presence was a hindrance to the work, and I'm thankful for their tolerance of me being around so much. • The crew did a great job of cleanup after each day of work.

Excellent explanation of the service to be provided. Everyone we interacted with were polite and service oriented. All appointments were on time and carried out as expected. The job was just about perfect - only a few indentions on the floor were not filled but the overall outcome created a "new garage". They were very neat and clean. The workers wore company T-shirts so it was easy to identify them.

They did an outstanding job. They prepped the cement by patching the damaged areas before applying the polyaspartic coating. They also sealed the borders abutting the wood with a waterproof sealant that blends with paint color (photo attached). Very pleased with their professionalism and with our beautiful flooring. About a year and a half ago, we used Garagewerx to install an epoxy coated floor in our previous home with a two car garage. At the time, we were trying to sell the house and wanted it to have something that really made it pop to prospective homeowners. They did a terrific job, so when we recently bought a new house, we decided to have them come and do the floor in our new 3-car garage before we moved in. Once again, the garage looks absolutely awesome! Epoxy coated garage floors really enhance the look of any garage and Garagewerx is the best service provider to do the job.

Outstanding experience - Paul and Jennifer (owners) were great and extremely professional. The quality of the work was top notch and the overall experience was fantastic. The sales process was painless and Jennifer didn't push anything we didn't need - this was a nice change from others we researched. The installation team arrived on time, performed the work and did a great job of clean-up afterwards. We're very pleased and would highly recommend this great family owned business.

We are selling our home and wanted to have an epoxy-coating installed on our double-car garage floor to make our house "pop" to a potential buyer. Paul and Jennifer were great to deal with and worked our job into their busy schedule on fairly short notice. They completed the job in one day using a diamond grinder to prep the floor. The end result was a terrific looking floor that I'm sure will appeal to someone. It almost seems a shame to sell our house now!

Paul answered all questions we had about their process and products through Angie's List messaging system. Jennifer came out to measure and offer a quote and went back through the services and choices they provide. Paul and their crew came out on date of service. The crew did the work. Paul returned to check and when I wasn't there, followed up with a call. Jennifer followed up with a thank you note. Each member of Garagewerks was pleasant and easy to communicate with and the floor looks excellent. The people who poured our new concrete left a couple of imperfections and Garagewerks readily did what they could do to correct them. We chose a flat color without flakes or texture as it will be used mostly as a workshop so we needed to be able to see when things got dropped on it so I look forward to seeing how it holds up and how slip resistant it will be. Just walking on it now, I think it will be fine. The only thing I wished I would have foreseen and asked them to do would have been to tape off the baseboards because some of the epoxy splattered on them. Overall, thank you for your work and thank you for a smooth experience.

We wish we had a good experience to report like the other reviews on this page but we were very disappointed. Jennifer and her husband Paul were great to work with but the installers who actually did the floor just didn't seem to care. We paid to have several small areas where the concrete was chipped in the floor filled which they did, but they did not sand the areas level with the floor before they painted it which resulted in very noticeable and dangerous humps in the middle of the floor. When we called Paul and brought it to his attention, he immediately had the installers try to correct the problem but since it had already been painted it resulted in patched areas all over our new floor. Some the size of dinner plates and are very noticeable in the walkway area leading to the back door. We had also recently painted the garage walls light gray and replaced all the baseboard moldings and painted them white. After they left, the baseboards and moldings were splattered with dark gray epoxy paint which will not come off. If you choose to use this company, I would insist that the owner Paul stay and supervise the crew and if you don't want the floor paint on your walls and baseboards you need to request they be taped off which you would think would be a common practice and not have to be requested.

We are disappointed to read this review of our services. The majority of our clients are extremely happy and pleased with the work our installers and we do on all our floors. We all take pride in our work and want to do the best we can for our clients. We try to have open and frequent communication so that everyone is on the same page. Just the week prior to this job this same crew filled a number of shallow birdbaths for clients in Dallas on their garage floor and they were more than pleased with the results. That said, sometimes there is miscommunication and not everyone knows what is taking place or has taken place. We believe this job is an example of where there was a lack of communication between the husband, the wife, and the crew. When a client is home our practice is to make sure they review different steps and stages as we progress. This case is no different. The husband and wife at different times and sometimes at the same time were watching from either outside the garage, inside the garage or from inside their home when they opened the door entering their home from inside the garage. We do not want anything to be dangerous on the floor, in fact we mostly remove trip hazards for clients and we add texture for slip resistance. When the holes in the floor were being patched, both the husband and wife were home and reviewed different stages of the sanding process. The crew lead used a random orbital sander and multiple grits of sandpaper as he worked and sanded down the patches. When the crew lead was getting to a level that he thought was looking good and smooth, he asked the husband his opinion and approval before moving forward with the coating process. According to the crew lead, the husband looked at all of the sanded patches then said he wanted to check with his wife. Soon after husband left, the wife opened the door from the house and looked at the patches. According to our crew, she did not say anything and proceeded to close the door. We interviewed all three members of this crew and they all said based on the lack of any additional feedback from the husband and the wife, they (the crew) had the impression and understanding that everything was fine and they were given approval to move forward. At no time did the crew question that there wasn’t approval by the way the husband and the wife acted and responded. It was only after they had finished applying the body color coating and flaked the floor and it had started drying and the crew had left for lunch that the client contacted us by phone to tell us they were not happy with the patches that had been done. The clients did not communicate this to the installation crew at all before this. When the client called us to give feedback on the patches, they told us by phone that the crew did not do any sanding or grinding on the floor, which is standard practice. When we arrived onsite to review the job and discuss with the client and the crew, we spoke to the husband and wife separately and asked them each if the crew had sanded or ground the floor prior to applying the coating, and they each said no. When we asked the client if at anytime the crew asked them to look at the floor and review it before moving on to the coating section, the husband and wife both said they were not asked. When we asked the husband and wife if they saw the floor with the patches before the coating was applied they each said no, that they had not seen anything until after the coating was already applied. This series of lack of communication and visual inspection is in contrast to statements from our crew. Once the client notified us that they wanted the patches sanded down more, our crew waited until the body coat was dry then ground and sanded the patches further for the clients. The clients approved of the new level and smoothness and the crew then re-applied the primer and basecoat and re-flaked the floor. When these sections dried, the crew lightly sanded and smoothed out the transitions between the patches to blend them together with the rest of the floor. Once this was completed, the crew applied the final clear polyaspartic topcoat. The client also made some comments about the baseboards. For most baseboards that are less than 8 inches from the floor, a little touch up is needed about 20% of the time. We stopped applying blue painters tape to baseboards and walls for masking a few years ago for two reasons: 1) when the manufacturer had changed the adhesive formula which caused additional paint to be removed from walls and baseboards; and 2) when our products wicked behind the tape more often than not creating more of a problem. These experiences led us to stop masking with tape since it created more touch up after installation than without the taping off. As we were finishing, we offered to the husband to come back and touch up the baseboards but he said it was not that big of a deal and that he expected some touch up would be needed after an installation on his floor. It is interesting that the husband was not concerned about it and refused our free service to do the touchup yet the wife chose this additional area about which to complain. We are making some changes in our installation process to have clients sign off and approve of the work we do in preparation as well as the final work. This will hopefully reduce if not eliminate future miscommunication and misunderstandings. We have also sent the client a refund for the patching portion of this job.

At first the floor came out not fully covered with epoxy, it had like veins all over the floor. The owner was very quick in correcting the problem. He sanded it and redo the process. The outcome was fantastic. I a am very satisfied with my garage floor. I would recommend Garagewx anytime.
