GREAT, Bruce really knew his stuff. We liked that the company is small, and very responsive.

The locksmith arrived (masked) within an hour of my phone call and finished his work within thirty minutes. The new lock/knobset was keyed to my pre-existing key. The service was prompt and efficient.

The new key works well.

It went well. Very polite and personable. He looked at the three doors, explained the process, inspected the knobs and set to work. First setting the locks to match the key, then replacing the existing hardware with the new hardware. He did have to drill one new hole, which he did smoothly. Before leaving he cleaned up his work.

Same day service. Used coupon on their listing. Would definitely use again.

Great! The technician arrived an hour or so after we called. He called to let us know when he was on his way. He also gave us helpful suggestions about our gate lock and spare key. We will definitely call this company again if we need a locksmith. The cost seemed a little high but the service was great.

This business gets an A++ nuclear-glowing good review from me. I called re their re-keying a HON filing cabinet, and instead of selling me a trip to our office, he asked if there was a key code on the lock (yes). So I went there and he made three keys for me for $14.50, when I had expected to pay someone 100-$120?. Has our business from now on!

All went well. They were able to come out the same day. They made some adjustments and realigned the locking mechanism. The lock works very well now. Additionally, they assured me that the lock I have is good quality and there was no need to consider a replacement. I appreciated that honest assessment.

I called last week for a quote and got some great advice on what to expect, and what to buy. I called for the services, and had a locksmith at my house the same morning as the request.

Outstanding service. I called at 10:45 to schedule an appointment and was very surprised that a technician would be available at 1pm on the same day. The technician arrived on time, was very knowledgeable and professional.

He arrived quickly, checked it, lubed it, tested it in several ways. And it works perfectly now. Probably something I could have done myself but since I wasn't certain what the problem was, I wanted a pro to check it in case things went south if I took it apart.. No a good idea to suddenly find yourself with no way to lock your door!

Alan did a great job figuring out what modifications were required and had it working in a short time. Clearly the work of a true craftsman. As requested, called when he headed our way and was on time.

whichI have used Bill's Locksmith in the past. Our front door lock came apart in my hand. I called him and he said get the part from Baldwin and I can fix it. I e-mailed Baldwin and after identifying it they sent me the parts FREE! We couldn't get in touch with Bill after after we received it on the 31st of September we left a message. While I was at work my wife tried to find another locksmith and talked to 24/7 Mobile Locksmith. They came out and couldn't repair it they said it couldn't be repaired and we should get a new lock and door. They left us on Monday with no lock on our door and a bill for about $130.00 which Carole paid with a credit card. The next morning Bill called and told me he was booked solid, but he didn't want to leave me in the lurch and recommended 1st Quality Lock & Key. Carole contacted them they sent a man out and he fixed the lock and it works better than ever. These folks know what they are doing!

Called in the morning, needed an afternoon appointment, which is what I got. Alan was very friendly and efficient. Will definitely use them again, if needed.

It was okay. The service person did not give much of an explanation of what was broken in the lock nor offer any alternatives to how he handled it.

The technician Alan O'Daniel turned up promptly at the agreed time, evaluated the problem with our lock, had a replacement part with him and promptly replaced the worn out mechanism. He was courteous, pleasant, and very professional. First class service. I would definitely recommend 1st Quality Lock and Key to anybody looking for a locksmith.

We had a knob installed and a year later it stopped working. We called them back and they fixed it. They were very prompt, courteous and got the job done.

We found First Quality Lock & Key on Angie's List and called them to explain what we needed, which was to replace a broken (20-year-old) deadbolt with a new one and to re-key it to existing house keys. He gave us an estimated cost and we agreed on a time for him to come to our house to do the job. He arrived within the specified window of time as promised. There were a couple of unexpected issues to work through (incompatibility of some new hardware vs. the old; a bigger hole size required in the door; etc.), but the job was completed satisfactorily and for the quoted price. We are pleased with the work.

They did a great job. We had no problems. They were on time. They did what they promised to do. The price was as quoted. They were polite, cordial and efficient while they were here.

I called first thing in the morning. Steve answered, listened to my service needs, and recommended a lock to buy at a home improvement store. He suggested I call back to schedule the installation. I was able to get an appointment shortly after I had acquired the lock and returned home. The installer (Tom) arrived promptly and installed the unit. He also fixed the plate on the doorknob and lubricated another lock on an exterior door. I feel the service was good and would recommend this company.

I am a Massage Therapist and I lease out the extra rooms in my office to other therapists. I have had a lot of renters come and go within the last few months and so for safety's sake, I felt that it was time to get the locks changed. I originally had called them on Monday from out of town and set up an appointment for that afternoon. My arrival back in town was delayed and so I had to call and cancel. They were very understanding about my having to cancel would have been happy to come out the following day but since I did not have time Tuesday we re-scheduled for Wednesday. They called before they came (as I asked them to), and it took just a few minutes for him to re-key the two locks. He had the number of keys I had requested with "Do not Duplicate" stamped on them (just as I had requested). He made sure I was comfortable with both of the locks working properly and waited until I used them both. The building is very old and the front door lock has never worked well, but as he re-keyed it, he also lubricated it and now it works great! After the tech left I realized that the "Do not duplicate" stamp was on all the keys - I did not have one to duplicate unless I went to a locksmith.. So I called up the main number and he was able to get the tech to come back and make another key that I will be able to copy whenever I need to. Probably won't need to do this again any time soon, but would use them again if I did and would recommend them to others.

I took in the new lock and they quickly made new keys and reset the lock. The coded key for a file cabinet enabled me to lock a file that hadn't had a key for years.

A real estate agent walked off with the keys to this house after showing it. First Quality got in for me and then re-keyed the lock. Prompt, next day service at a good price. I would use again (if I lived in Plano). An outstanding establishment.
