They came out and did a maintenance check of the A/C unit. Freon was a little low so they added 1 lb of freon as well. There was a very minor mix up on the date scheduled for service but that very well may have been a misunderstanding on my end. Contractor was polite, professional and showed up on time.

DT showed up on time, diagnosed problem, fixed problem in a timely matter. Was nice and very professional. Will put him in my contacts for future use. Like working directly with owner.

He is the expert on A/C. after hearing my explain of problem, he identified the problem in a snap. I hired a AC guy before him who spent an hour and test here, test there and could not figure out the problem. if you need to fix you A/C, this is the guy you need to hire!

WOW! I have had several A/C companies work on my air conditioning unit, and DT Air was hands down the best experience I have had over the past 10 years in the DFW area. My problem was a very, very loud buzzing noise (that kept me awake at night) when my A/C was on. The noise occurred after another A/C company changed out my compressor at the end of last summer. Dana was very professional and asked me many questions while figuring out the problem. He explained thoroughly what he thought the problem was and gave me statistics regarding the chance of the repair alleviating the problem. (Other companies could not find the problem.) His work crew was also very professional with excellent communication skills. Fortunately, the repair (exteriorizing the refrigerant line) completely eliminated the problem (unacceptable, loud noise). The crew even placed a tasteful cover on the exterior lines. I am profoundly impressed, and will definitely use DT again, as well as refer to friends/family/colleagues.

Overall, I was impressed. Dana is very professional. He was a bit difficult to understand over the phone, but he's a very no-nonsense result oriented worker. I placed the call on a Tuesday around noon, and he agreed to come by the next day between 10:00 and 12:00. (I had informed him that it was NOT an emergency, so this was acceptable.) He arrived promptly at 10:15, and I was able to quickly explain the issue, and give my 2 cents worth of what I thought the problem was. (I'm an electrical engineer.) In spite of my directing him into the attic, he went to the unit outside and immediately found the problem - a faulty capacitor. He had the part in his truck and informed me that it would be $190 to replace it. That's a flat fee that covers the service call, the part, and labor. Of course, I wanted to watch over him like a hawk, but I was on a conference call at the time (poor planning on my part) and he was able to work autonomously with minimal interruption to my call. (Very professional and respectful.) After fixing the capacitor, he informed me that the Freon level was a bit low in the unit. (Understandable, since the unit was installed 8 years ago, and has NEVER been serviced.) He suggested it would likely be 1-3 lbs, and that he would charge me $28 per lb of freon. I thanked him to go ahead and "top it off" and also to check the freon level of the other unit. In the end, he used two lbs of freon (one in each unit) and charged me a total of $235 for the job, AFTER my Angie's List discount. (Thank you, Angie's List!) I must admit, it's difficult to fork over $235 for a job that takes only 15 minutes, but part of what I was paying for was a) knowing where the problem was immediately, and b) having the correct part on his truck among over 100 different capacitors. Overall, and excellent experience! Thanks! Supplimental Info: House built in 2003 (2) original Carrier brand A/C units that have never been serviced. (Until today. Go Carrier!) A quick web search revealed that the capacitor part was likely on the low end of $30-$70 retail.

Tony came within 30 minutes of me calling for service. Phenomenal! He checked out the system and told us what the issue was and gave us 3 options to resolve it. Tony was not pushy, and was super professional. It went very smooth and quick. I would call him again in a heart beat.

We are so happy to have a nice, cool home after Dana and his crew removed our old unit and installed a new air handler. Dana came out to do a diagnostic report and quote. He was professional and happy to answer any questions I had about something I didn't understand. The price was lower than we expected and they were able to come back to do the work within a couple of days. The guys that came to install the air handler were friendly and respectful of our home. Dana came back to review the work and walked me through all of the new equipment. He explained the quality of the work and what we should expect from this investment. Thank you to DT Air!

Dana had worked on my AC previously so I was happy with his professionalism and expertice. He arrived on time and called when he was a few minutes away. He listened carefully to my description of the problems with the AC unit and then did a very through check to confirm the issue. He found that two capacitors needed replacement and that contacts on a sensor were corroded with dead ants. This was causing the compressor to shut off periodically, NOT good in the Texas heat!! He also cleaned and inspected the entire fan and compressor area, ensuring good airflow and cooling ability. He finished up by topping off the coolant, because of a tiny leak. He was fast and efficient, kept track of his tools and trash and didn't scare the kitties in the house. All in all, I am pleased with his service and would be happy to have him return again.

I was out doing yard work, trimming bushes. I accidentially clipped the AC freon line with the hedge trimmers and gas spewed like old faithful! In a panic, I ran inside and turned off the AC unit. I remembered hearing about Angieslist on TV and knew I could find a reliable AC man in my area. I jumped online, paid for a year and picked out DT AC service as they're in my area. I called Dana, left a message and he called me right back. I explained the situation and he was out in about an hour! He patched up the AC and refilled the freon. When I told him I was unemployed, he knocked off 5% and I was able to have my AC working the same afternoon for under $300! I have to say I was VERY impressed with the time it took to come over. Most AC guys in Texas charge DOUBLE for emergency calls. I can say without hesitation that I'll be using DT AC for all my future AC business! Thank you Angies List!!!!

This is my 2nd review for DT Air Conditioning. I gave a very good review the first time as he came out, troubleshoot the issue quickly which turned out to be a small issue. He finished quickly and charged appropriately. I called one evening when one unit stopped working. Dana returned my call at 7:30PM that night and scheduled an appointment for the next day between 4:00-6:00pm. He called at 5:00 and said he was on his way. Very punctual. He troubleshot the problem and did the repairs quickly. He recovered much of the freon when we had to replace the dryer and then reused as much as he could so we didn't have to buy more...and his price/gallon for freon was way below market. So bottom line - very satisfied as the price was very fair, work was done with great quality, punctual, professional.

The overall work went really well. I was very pleased with them. They were exceptionally quick. I gave them call early in the morning and by the noon they were out. They knew what they were doing. They did what was needed and lot more.

They were very professional and honest. The advised it was a minor repair upfront and did a good job. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

I was a little upset when 2 men, not Dana, had arrived on friday to do the work but the two men who came were fantastic. They were both named Francisco and you could tell they knew what they were doing. They were so mannerly, worked steadily for 5 hours and I could tell that Dana talked to them throughout their work. The longer they were here the more I didn't mind the $855 and then when they finished I actually had to climb the attic steps to see the unit. I had thought that the unit was too big for the house but it was just installed improperly. The "guys" removed all kinds of junk that had been left up there by the original installers and they found PVC Pipe that was supposed to be glued that was just 1 pipe slipped into the other and was leaking. They changed other fittings too so I really got my money's worth, but the best thing is my peace of mind. Thanks Dana, Francisco and Francisco. As the 2 Francisco's left they were singing in spanish, thanks for the serenade!

Excellent. I found Dana to be honest and responsive. On the first visit I called him to see if he could make our downstairs warmer as the heat rises. After doing some tests for airflow, etc he made a few suggestions, but then was reluctant to charge as he said he really did not do anything, even though he was there for an hour. I told him to charge for his time, so he billed me $40 (a bargain for 1 hour). Then I asked him if a bigger unit would help. He said it would but it would still be cooler than the upstairs. I decided to replace it to take advantage of the tax credit and the TX rebate. After his men did the work, the city inspector failed it because of a minor alignment issue. Dana had it rectified the next day, rescheduled the inspector for the following day, and it passed. I am very pleaseed with his responsiveness. He struggles a little with English, but I was able to get passed that and am a satisfied customer.

Great - I will call Dana in the future for any hvac work I need done.

Initially gave me assessment of heating elements as 2nd opinion, but a few days later heater seemed to struggle to keep heat at temperature set on thermostat so Dana installed new heater a few days later. This was a few days before Christmas, so I was please with his ability to respond so quickly. Dana also installed a new AC unit 1 1/2 years ago. Always pleasant, honest and quickly responds.

We called around 10:30 a.m. and a technician was here by 12:30 p.m. He was quick and very professional.

Dana responded quickly to an estimate request especially considering the short time frame for the Texas rebate. I had decided to keep my old system until the State offered the new $1000 rebate without the horrible system required previously. Dana was able to schedule my replacement the first day of the program and on the second day brought me the signed documents to receive $75.00 extra for recycling. His installation crew were professional & timely, completely cleaning when finished.

When I first requested estimates from several local HVAC companies, I got only 3 responses. DT was one of those. Initially his price seemed too low and I thought it might not be a new part. After I spoke with Dana, he told me the part was new and had a one year warranty. We then scheduled a time for Dana to come & install the part. Dana arrived when he said he would, replaced the part (the old part had a plastic housing that cracked but the new part had a sheet metal housing which should not be prone to cracks), and charged what he said he would charge. He was at my house about half an hour and the furnace is back to good-as-new. My hat is always off to a service company that shows up when they say they will, does what they say they will do, charges what they say they will charge, and doesn't leave a mess for me to cleanup. My hat is indeed off to DT Airconditioning & Heating. Thanks Dana.

Dana was very punctual and made a point to come earlier for my convenience. He was very professional and performed the job to my complete satisfaction. He only charged me a partial fee for inspecting my furnace since he didn't perform any inspection on my A/C (per my request). I would use him again.

Heater unit was making a loud knocking sound. DT came the same day as the service call and determined that the blower wheel was damaged and off balance. He ordered a new part that day and came the next day to install it. Another company under a home insurance program had serviced the heater for the knocking problem twice in 2 years without solving the problem. DT was quick to troubleshoot the problem and the service was professional and excellent.

The appointment was for 11:00am but Dana called around 11:30am and said that he would not be able to make it until after 12:00pm. So we were not thrilled about him being over an hour late when both of the other installers made it on time or even a few minutes early. He did his information gathering but didn't seem to be very well organized. He sent the quote proposal a few days later via e-mail, but it had mistakes on it such as the wrong date, misspelled name, and the wrong phone number. The price was fair but we didn't feel confident using this provider based on the experience we had during the estimate appointment and the lack of attention to detail in the quote proposal. We ended up using another service provider to install the new HVAC system.

We knew we wanted a top of the line 5 ton, energy efficient air conditioning unit as we have had problems getting our house cool enough during the summer months. We also were having trouble with some rooms getting too much air & others not enough. The estimate given from DT Air Conditioning & Heating company very compatative and they were able to correct the duct work in our home!!! They explained all the different types of units that we could choose from and even looked at the consumer report reviews to help us decide what to buy. They delivered & installed the unit within a few days without any problems & we now have proper air flow to all rooms. In the end, what I payed was even less than the original estimate because of a rebate that DT Air Conditioning found available on the unit from the manufacturer. This company is fair, honest, reliable & I am definitley going to have them replace & install my next air conditioning unit in a few months. AAA+++

I was pretty pleased. They gave me a pretty good deal that the other top candidates couldn't match. They had a couple guys come out who were nice and careful. They did the work. The only glitch was that they got in a hurry and didn't do something quite right. I called them up, and he came out a couple times. The first time, he said that everything was as it should be, which I disagreed with. It stopped cooling, so he came back out and corrected everything.
