Dana arrived on time and inspected the A/C system. He found a blocked drain line which he fixed. He wasted no time in performing the inspection and opening up the blocked drain line. Very professional. I will certainly call him again for my A/C service.

My AC was blowing room temperature air - it blew out late last year, but now that summer is around the corner, needed to fix it. Called DT AC on Thursday and he showed up Monday morning. Even though he arrived at 10am (appointment was between 9 and 10am), he was able to diagnose issue (bad contactor), fix and added some add'l freon in half an hour tops! He even had some time to spare to examine my AC and give an estimate on how much it would be to replace the current unit (went up to attic)! Excellent technician, very efficient and professional. Would highly recommend!

Dana is very honest. He is prompt and can usually show up that day or the day after. He will tell you what you need and will not try to sell you something if not needed. He is a nice guy and will call you right back. He is also reliable and not over priced. I am very happy with his service.

Terrible. I really needed and expected them to show. I was disappointed when they didn't even call to say why they weren't going to show and I haven't heard from them.

I spent the better half of a day calling different AC companies and DT was one of the 2 or 3 that had availability for the next day (cold snap had everyone busy). Simply, I needed someone to come out to a unit I'm closing on in 3 weeks to clean 2x air handling units that showed up in the inspection as being dirty (Home warranty won't cover it as its a known previous condition). Dana quoted $130 on the phone to do a basic inspection & cleaning which beat the other quotes I got. So we set a time and he showed up on time. The first unit turned out to be a condensing furnace and wasn't something he could service in as part of the basic (All he could check was the blower and he said it was in good condition). The second unit was a standard furnace so he managed to go through that more thoroughly and did confirm that the blower was dirty. Also, after using a flexible camera, he confirmed the rest of the furnace didn't need to be cleaned (He used the camera to check out the heat exchanger & coils). The problem was that the blower couldn't be cleaned as part of the basic service as it needed to be taken out to be cleaned, so all he did is clean the sensors in the furnace as well as a couple of tubes. I was disappointed to hear that the service was still going to cost $130 considering one of the units couldn't be serviced, and was a little more disappointed to hear that to clean the dirty blower alone was going to cost an additional $175. Looking back, I can see I may have been expecting a lot for $130, but I wish it was clearer before we started that the fee was for just an inspection with very limited cleaning (would have changed my decision as I had quotes for full cleaning including taking blower out/cleaning it as well as coils cleaned in place for around $300 from another "A" company on Angie's list). I would still recommend him to anyone (already recommended him to realtor) as he was thorough and professional. He made service recommendations to keep the system in good condition and he promptly answered all my questions in way that showed he knew what he was talking about.

He made suggestions to me on how to prevent future problems. He was very helpful. He was very responsive, he called me back within thirty minutes of me initially calling him and he came out a half hour later.

Could not have gone better. This was one of the best service experiences I have had since moving to Texas 10 years ago. I highly recommend this company.

Set the whole thing up via e-mail, super fast response, didn't try to sell us on things we didn't need. They went out of their way to clean the unit and reprogram our thermo for us. The crew was purposeful, professional and friendly.

Our heater kept turning on and off instead of staying on. I called Dana around 9:30 a.m. and left a message. He got back to me about ten minutes later and said he would be able to come out around 2 p.m. He called again around 10:20 asking if it was ok if he stopped by even earlier which was great! By 11 a.m. he had examined the system, determined the problem (dirty heater sensor) and remedied it. He charged $78 for the entire visit. Unlike other A/C-Heater companies I've used in the past, Dana has never tried to sell me any upgrates, new equipment, etc. This is the second time I've used DT A/C and Heating and once again Dana has impressed me with his responsiveness and professional demeanor. Recently, my husband was able to light the gas pilot in preparation for cooler weather but heating elements did not ignite. Found DT Air Conditioning & Heating on Angie's list and after reading reviews scheduled appointment with Dana Tovi. Mr. Tovi called prior to coming and was able to come earlier than scheduled appointment. Mr. Tovi went directly to the unit in the attic and within a very short time diagnosed and repaired the problem. He had us turn the heat on and off twice to verify that it was working properly. Our inside units are very old. Very much appreciated that Mr. Tovi did not try to sell us a new system as others have tried to do in the past. He was very personable, competent and professional. I am really glad to find someone we will not hesitate to call when we need to have HVAC work done in the future.

Dana was very responsive and provided a quick estimate. Once we agreed to do the work he and his crew did a great job.

He was awesome. It is a one man show. His name is Dan. On Friday night my AC stopped working and it was 110 degrees outside. It was miserable.. So I called him up and he called me right back and told me that he would be here the next morning at 9Oclcok. He was here at 9 AM had he fixed it in about 10 minutes. I sat and watched him. He was real straight up. He tested the whole system, he went through the whole thing and informed me that I had a bad capacitor; and he put in a new one. It was expensive for it was $250. But I figure for like less than 12 hours response, with him arriving at 9 O’clock on a Saturday morning it is fine. I thought he would say that I needed a whole new air conditioning system but he told me that the system was in good shape. I was thrilled. The reason I chose him is because I read other people’s reviews of him. What was nice about him was that he showed up, he spoke perfect English, which sometimes is not always the case. He did not talk to you to reel off nor was he a stone. He told me what the problem was and went ahead and fixed it. He was really good. I have kept his card because I liked him and I will use him in the future.

DT was able to come to my home the afternoon of the day I called them. The owner found the fault quickly, a burned out fan motor. He fortunately had a replacement on his truck, and installed it quickly. He also installed a new run capacitor to be sure that his repair work would not require a return call in the foreseeable future.

It was a great experience. DT called back within an hour, he showed up within his window, and got right to work.

DT was able to replace the "dead" unit first so we had air from the other unit on day one. On day two, they replaced the other unit. Both days went without any problems despite the fact that the outside and attic temperatures were brutal. The men worked without taking any noticable breaks and they were attentive to keeping our house clean. One note, if you are considering installing Trane units, such as the XL16i, make sure that you know how big the outside units are. They are rather large, but they are quiet.

We had used DT before to replace freon for a old and failing AC unit. Dana seemed very knowledgeable about AC units so we included DT Air Conditioning as one of the 4 companies from which we secured estimates. DT was very prompt in returning estimates for the various options available to us. Dana did a walk through and explained our various options. He also said we would need a new return to address the improper air flow occurring on one side of the house. We discussed the different options of where it could be located with the caveat that it would depend on the space being available in the attic. Dana did a good job of detailing the specifics of what was needed in each of the alternatives. Additionally, on an apples to apples comparison, DT offered the best price. We elected to replace the entire AC/Heating unit. (ours was over 20 years old and becoming more and more expensive to maintain). DT's crew promptly arrived on the scheduled date ready to begin work. The guys were very pleasant and started work immediately. They took care of everything; obtaining the permit, laying additionally plank in the attic to do the work, adding the new return vent; installing the unit; ensuring the unit was hung properly and met building code standards. After the work was complete, they did a good job of cleanup in the areas where they worked. During the course of the day, Dana came out to check how things were progressing. They completed the work in one day as he said they would and collected payment after the work was done.. Dana came by to inspect the completed work the following day and scheduled the City inspection. The City Inspector came out a few days later. Even the City Inspector commented that the installation was exceptionally well done. The only mishap that occurred was when one of the guys accidently stepped back off the plank and put a whole through the living room ceiling. they were very apologetic and provided assurances that it would be promptly repaired. They sent a guy out that specializes in this type of repair who repaired it to near the original condition, popcorn and all. So, they get an additional A for promptly managing issues to customer satisfaction. DT is very customer oriented. Dana followed-up with us about two weeks after all the work and the inspections was complete to confirm the ceiling repair work was done to our satisfaction and ensure we were happy with the way the AC was working, particularly in the room that historically was not receiving enough air to keep the room cool. We gave him a thumbs up on everything. Overall, I am exceptionally pleased with DT's work and work ethic. This is a group of guys who really know what they are doing and go the extra length to do an excellent job and delight the customer. I strongly recommend them.

Came home Saturday afternoon to an 80+ degree home about 4:30. Called DT and they were out and fixed the issue. I made my 6PM poker game! After game came home to a cool house! He was very professional, replaced condenser with USA made unit. I will use them again.

Mr. Tovi quickly found the problem, and went to a lot of trouble to get the part for my old system. He came in on time and under his estimate. Punctual and courteous. Very good experience. A+.

I called on 8/8/2011 and left a message. Dana returned my call within minutes and set an appointment for between 9 & 10 on 8/10. He arrived at 9:45 and went about checking my air. He found no problems, freon ok, temp ok from all vents etc. Apparently my 12 year old ac just couldn't quite keep up with 105-100 degree heat. My ratings are really based on this and two previous visits where a little more work was required. He had previously cleaned my coils and added freon. I failed to write reviews of those visits. I highly recommend him, he's professional and low keyed and I think does an excellent job.

On one of our normal 105+ days we're enjoying this summer (day 37 or 38 I think), our main system wasn't cooling. At 8a it was already 83 deg in the house. Found DT Air here in AL and gave them a call being as they said they had emergency service. Left vmail and the owner called me back pretty soon...within 30 minutes or so. I told him what we had going on, he said he could be here within the hour. On a Sunday w/our recent sweltering, I agreed (by this time it was about 1230p. He arrived at almost 2p on the dot (missed his window a little) but he was very efficient, got right to it, and we were back online very quickly. Given this was the weekend and I was able to find anybody at all w/all the heat we're having, I can't gig him for being 30 mins outside of estimate to when he could be there. It's a set rate for this particular job...capacitor replacement (start capacitor for the evap fan motor) plus it WAS a Sunday morning and to even find an A/C guy right now on a weekend that could come in less than 24 hours amazed me. All in all a good experience and I'd use Dana again if needed.

It was a very good experience and I will definitely call him again if we have problems. I felt very fortunate, on a day that reached 110, to find someone who was able to be here today and could fix the problem.

The owner is not much of a talker, but works efficiently and gets straight to the problem. I was very pleased that he was able to respond quickly, and diagnose and solve the issue immediately. In retrospect, the price for the part and service was a little steep, but based on how quick and attentive the owner was (and the fact that I was suffering from a 100+ degree situation), I was happy to pay it.

A/C stopped blowing cold air. Called Dana at 9am, said he'd be out between 5-7pm today. He called at 2pm, said he was in area and could come on by. Informed him we wouldn't be available till scheduled time. He called back at 4pm, said he was in front of house. Told him we couldn't make it back until 4:20pm, but told him he could go ahead and check condensing unit. He called back in 5 minutes and informed me that that capcitor was out and it would be $210 to replace, needed credit card number. Told him someone would be there in 15 minutes, but said he'd be done before then. Ask him what charge included, he said service call and part. Informed him that unit hadn't been checked or serviced since it was installed 7 years ago. Said service call was just to identify problem and repair, didn't include checking system or freon. Talked him into checking freon and system. Ask him to check freon in 2nd system, said normally it would be extra, but he'd include if I didn't receive discount he offered on Angie's List. Told him I was businessman and understood, and more than willing to pay to charge systems, just wanted units checked to verify proper operation and to identify any issues that would create future expensive problems. Said both units were fine and didn't need anything. Thanks for getting out same day and identifying and repairing problem so quickly. Only ask that you include system check out as a standard practice.

Excellent experience. Dana came within 45 mins when others couldn't come for days. I needed the A/C repaired immediately given the 100+ degree weather. He was friendly, professional and explained to me the problem, why it happened, and promptly fixed it. He even checked both A/C units to see if they were working properly. Simply great experience.

I called Dana and asked him to come out and give me a quote to either replace my A/C coil or to install a brand new A/C unit (both inside and outside unit). I knew my A/C coil was leaking because the A/C repair place I had come out a few days earlier used their sniffer and told me so. Dana arrived at our home at the time he said he would. He inspected our unit and comfirmed that I was leaking. I asked him to quote me on a replacement coil as well as a new unit. In about an hour I got a call from him and he told me what it would cost to replace the coil as well as three options for new units. About a 1/2 hour later I called him back and told him I would like to have them install the coil. Dana told me he could have his men out to replace the coil later that same day. At about 2:30 pm I got a call back from Dana saying that his men where on the way over. Francisco and his assistance arrive wtih the coil. They did an excellent job. They worked on it like they were installing it on their own home. They allowed me to watch and answered all my questions. They cleaned up nicely and made sure the unit was operating correctly... I would definitely have DT Air service my units again. They did an excellent job and the price they charged me was very reasonable compared to other quotes I received. I also like that they used a Lenox coil and not some off brand. Dana also honored the 5% off coupon from Angie's list.
