Dana showed up promptly and replaced a part that another vendor had just installed a few weeks earlier. Apparently they used the wrong sized capacitor which soon failed. In addition, the other vendor replaced the fan motor incorrectly as it was not operating properly, making it inefficient soon leading to other problems. Dana made the repairs and we have not had a problem since. We were extremely pleased as we called Dana at 9:00 a.m. that Saturday morning and he came out to fix the problem before the 4:00 party we were having that hot afternoon. If he were not so responsive, it would have been a disaster! We highly recommend DT Air Conditioning and Heating.

I left a message on Wednesday evening, I recieved a call back in 2 hours and an appointment for the next day. They were right on time and fixed the problem with no issues. I would highly recommend.

Dana came out for the initial consult. At the time, I had already seen several other companies. I was impressed that he listened to my needs, and provided his professional opinion without any of the hard sell. He seemed really down to earth, compared to a few of the other reps from other AC companies. He provided a couple of configuration options/quotes within a couple days of the initial consult - and we completed our negotiation of the exact price and features over email. After signing the sales agreement, Dana scheduled the install - and was able to accommodate my need to stagger the days due to my work conflict. (I wanted to be home to supervise and answer any questions and concerns if needed). Dana had all of the equipment drop-shipped from Trane directly - everything showed up factory sealed. Trane sent a huge truck one big guy with a power loader to move all the equipment into my garage on 3 pallets. Dana's team showed up promptly on the first day - and worked fast. They were polite - offered to wear shoe protectors (which I told them they didn't need to) - and endured my questions as they worked. The first day's install took care of the downstairs units - and took all day. It went off without a hitch - and by the end of the day we had the new system running. The second day's install (2 days later) - didn't go as smoothly. There was one hitch - one of Dana's guys accidentally stepped on an in-ceiling speaker and sent it through the drywall ceiling onto the floor. He was very apologetic - Dana ultimately took care of the hole in the ceiling - sending a dry waller and painter subcontractors out the next week to patch the hole (good as new). By the end of the second day, we had the entire system up and running. The Trane Comfort Link IIs are networked - and it was cool being able to access and set the upstairs thermostat from downstairs. The Thermostats also link to Nexia - where you can control your thermostats with a free application and account from anywhere - on your iPad, Android, computer etc. Dana came out both days to check on the progress and direct the installs, and bring out additional install materials. Because the installs were done in March when the temperature was still in the 70s, Dana explained that he would need to come out at a later date to check the coolant levels...so we agreed he would come out a month or two later when the temperature climbed into the 80s. While we were waiting for the temperature to climb, the system experienced a couple of system faults (a new experience - since these thermostats have their own operating system!). Dana was responsive to my email and calls - and he contacted Trane to find out that the most likely culprit was CleanEffects circuit boards. He came out personally to disconnect the CleanEffects so that we could use the system uninterrupted (and in fact - once they were disconnected the system ran without any faults). Trane sent him out a couple of circuit boards, which he installed when he came to finish the final system check in May. Overall, Dana did a great job communicating - and was attentive to my family's needs. He took care of the accidental damage to my ceiling - and his guys put together a beautiful install. My power bills are half what they were last summer, and I can actually get it cold inside the house during the summer.

Fan on compressor stopped running. I called DT around 9:30 AM and Dana said he would be here between 1-3. He and his son arrived right around 1. Found the problem right away and now cool air!! We have very old units and I was very pleased he didn't try to sell us a new unit. Very fair and professional. When it comes time to replace our unit he will be our first call.

He was very knowledgeable. He knows exactly how much I need. They corrected the problem we had upstairs. When I wanted him to check out things he came back so he was very prompt.

I scheduled this service provider for AC tune up and replacing the drain pan. Of 10 AC repair companies that I called, he is the only one that gave a price quote over the phone based on the problem description. I scheduled him for the next day but another company was willing to do the job the same day. So I went with the other company and called DT Air Conditioning to cancel the appointment. Dana said he had already bought the spare part (Drain Pan) for the repair but was gracious enough to cancel the appointment without any problem. I appreciate his attitude and honesty. I will use his services at the first opportunity in the future.

Dana showed up within a few hours of when I called him on Friday night. He repaired the water drain pan immediately and charged me nothing. His company installed this system last year. Dana is always responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable. He kept us from spending a night in June without AC.

We lost cool air from the A/C Thursday afternoon. I called two other companies only to be told they would not have someone available until Monday. DT was the 3rd phone call I made, not only did I speak an actual PERSON, he could come out in 20 minutes. I happily scheduled the appointment. DT was running a little late so he was kind enough to call me and let me know. Arrived out to the house and had the cool air back on within the hour. Many thanks to DT for saving our weekend!

Dana was on time with his teenage son. I felt that a pound of freon for 55 USD was bit expensive. After he checked the A/C unit he said its low on Freon and told me it would take 4 to 5 pounds of freon to fill it up. I understand it was his guesstimate. At the end I've to trust him when he said he put 7 pounds of Freon and the system still needs more freon but its OK for now. I was glad he stopped adding Freon. Anyway next time I've to shop around to find someone who can do it for less as the pound of Freon used for my unit costs around 19 dollars a pound in amazon. Also the capacitor is under 12$ in amazon. Overall I was satisfied with Dana but would shop around if I've to add more Freon and probably would recommend him if the Freon and Capicator prices can be negiotiated.

My a/c was blowing warm air intermittently and so I called the company that I purchased it from for an inspection. I must have stupid written on my forehead because after spending $2,488 for my less then a year old a/c, plus the cost to have a electrician to rewire it, I'm now being asked to pay $2760.34 for my outside unit because the compressor was bad. Well, I smell a rat! I then called DT Air Conditioning and Heating and they reluctantly came out because they no longer serve the Dallas area south of highway 30. DT changed the thermostat for less the $200 bucks and I now have cool air once again.

This company is great! My air conditioner was blowing air, but not cooling. I called D T for service and they were at my door within a few hours. Dana accessed the problem and replaced the capacitor within a half hour, and my air is cold again. At my request, Dana sent me by e-mail with two quotes to replace my entire 26-year old AC/Heating unit, and the prices were very reasonable, and even discounted. Thank you, D T!

Came out on time and began work promptly. Thoroughly checked the system out.

Work was done as promised. Came back to finish some of the duct improvement but system was fully functional in the interim. Came back a third time to replace electrical breaker at no extra charge even though this was not part of the estimate and they were not aware of it until doing the installation. Their price was in the middle of three bids. They were late the second day - not a big deal. Overall very happy with the work. Dana does a very good job of explaining options and what is worth doing vs. not.

They arrived on time and were finished in under a hour. When he job was complete he told me what they did and what they found. In our case nothing that had to be addressed at this time. The job was completed for the price agreed upon. We are very satisfied with job they did and will use them again in the future.

Very smooth. About an hour or so longer than promised, but I'm OK with that. They still finished it the same day. Stuff happens, you know? Our house is wonderfully cold now. LOL!

We love this company. Used them on our downstairs unit last year, they fixed our upstairs unit today. They are prompt, professional, and fair.

The window for service was 2-4. At 3:30 there had not been a check-in or call. I called at 3:45 to see if the service tech was going to be able to show and he indicated he would be there at 4:30. He showed around 5:00 with no call or check-in that he was going to be late. He went into my attic, was there a very short time and came out tto tell me that it would cost 1200-1800 dollars to repair the system. When questioned about what was broken and what evidence lead him to the diagnosis, he was unable to provide an explanation. I had little faith in the diagnosis from DT so I got a second opinion who used diagnositic tools to idenitfy exaxtly where the leak was and it conflicted with the diagnosis from DT.

Excellent service! Dana is very good and I would call him again for AC service in a heartbeat. He came to my house a few minutes before the agreed time. Once I met Dana, I knew he was going to be able to find the problem quickly. He also looked over some other items and gave me the thumbs up. Now, my AC is all set for the summer. Dana made great recommendations about a replacement system and suggested adding another return air vent in a far part of the house to improve air flow. Dana's installation team of two workers did the tear-out and installation over two days. They were quick and efficient. The workmanship was superb. In fact, they did so well that Dana requested to get some pictures to use on his website. He was thorough and reviewed and checked all of the work when it was done. He even found something that he had to fix himself the day after they finished but he was willing to come in on a Sunday morning, no questions asked, to fix it. I highly recommend this company for any AC and Heating needs that you have. We follow up with him each year for a seasonal check-up of the system and it has been running perfectly.

The repair took approximately 2.5 hours to complete the next day and the unit is now running better than ever. Kudo?s to DT and owner Dana Tovi for their timely, fair and quality repairs. In my opinion, this is a must use company which I will continue to use in the future.

Dana the owner came on this service call. We had a furnace for our upstairs not working. Dana checked the system and found a short in a wire leading to the unit. He repaired the wire and the unit has worked great since. It is a nice experience to have the person who owns the business show up and not try to make repairs that are not needed.

One of our central air units went down when the summer heat was at it's highest. The first company we called told us it would cost $800 to repair and then they couldn't even guarantee if it would actually work. Plus it was going to take them two days to get the parts! But they could but in a new unit for $9,600 which of course they would guarantee. We called Dana for a second opinion. He showed up with the parts and gave us the option of fixing it now for $180 or he could replace it for $6,800 - which was going to need to happen sometime soon. Since it was hot and our schedule was busy we chose to have it fixed for $180, but we will have it replaced this spring and he is definitely going to do the job for us. Without a doubt, this is the best air conditioning company I have ever worked with.

The gentleman was professional and very good. He checked everything and did a great job. He did the work for a fair price and we felt he was trustworthy and experienced and did an excellent job. Would have him come back again. The company was as the reviews on Angie's list stated. Very satisfied :)
