Both times that DT came out to our home, the technician was courteous and knowledgeable. Initially, we called them for a thorough checkup of the cooling system as we were in the option period, after closing the deal we had them come back out and perform the services they advised on which were quite affordable I might add. I do recommend DT and will call them again when needed.

Owner arrived on time, same day as call. He checked outside compressor power leads and immediately found a burned relay that was sticking, hence unit unable to on/off Retrieved new replay from his vehicle and replaced, tested relay Checked unit Freon levels Advised that unit was near end of life and that I should consider replacement - perhaps later in year No hard sell, just recommended I consider replacement when and if another failure Assumed unit would make it thru summer months and then I should consider a new unit before year end to take advantage of ONCOR rebates I used DT Air Conditioning several years ago and they: 1) Say what you do 2) And do what you say The basic core of Business and Customer Service I would use this company again in the future and I can recommend them to others

Very fast service, technician quickly located problem and had replacement part with him. I was given an appointment 2 hours after I called but tech called and said he could be their earlier shortly after I first called. Within 2 hours of calling I had cold air blowing.

I am from out of town and my daughter and son-in-law's air conditioner failed on a Friday evening. I called DT just before closing and Dana said he would have Zee out at 9:30 on Saturday morning. EXACTLY at 9:30 Zee arrived. He was very competent and pleasant. The Compressor had failed - and it was Saturday morning. He called Dana and they got one from Lennox before their warehouse closed - in warranty! Then Zee and Dana installed the unit, found a freon leak and fixed that and now Saturday afternoon, the kids home is 68 degrees from 80 degrees just a few hours ago. I am very experienced at commercial and residential HVAC service. These guys went Waaaaay above and beyond and did a very professional job for a reasonable cost. They deserve an A+ rating. And they deserve your calls for residendial service. You will get your money's worth - and then some!

Dana was very responsive. DT A/C was the only provider who gave me details on ONCOR rebate program (which helped bring down overall cost with a better SEER rating unit).

Upon calling the DT AC team they came to my house and assessed the current AC system (an older unit, which was original to the house about 15 years old). The unit was not cooling below 80 degrees. Considering the outside temperature in Texas during this time (about 98 degrees) I need a quick response. The folks responded to my call quickly arriving on site the next morning. Once they assessed the system they were sure to explain the details that the unit was not able to keep up any longer and that upgrade of parts would be more expensive then a replacement. Upon decided to move forward with a new system we were able to schedule the installation within just a few days. The update to the new system took just one day and works great. Now the temperature is nice and comfortable in the house. Overall fast and reliable service from the folks at DT AC and Heating. I will definitely use their services again.

We were more than satisfied with the service and equipment we purchased, we have used them more than once and will be using then again to replace another unit. They are very professional and prompt and do an exceptional job!

It went excellent. They did all the paperwork and asked for a refund from the electric company. The crew was very clean, professional and on time. The followed up with me after the visit. It was just a wonderful experience.

Since I was not sure about replacing the furnace, I had another company take a look - the technician confirmed the problem with the coil and he advised me to replace the furnace as well since DT's price is very good. Everything went very smoothly. The AC is working great. DT also got me a rebate from Oncor.

I got quotes from 3 different companies, and DT was easily the most competitive. Owner came out for the estimate, no upselling, but offered various options. Also had suggestions on how to make my downstairs unit more efficient by adding an additional return air duct for a reasonable price. They showed up promptly on the scheduled install date, workers were friendly, professional, and fast. Owner stopped by to inspect their work when they neared completion. Upstairs AC has been great ever since. A few weeks later, completely unrelated, I noticed downstairs AC was blowing weakly. Placed a service call to DT and scheduled for the following day. Repairman diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes of arriving, had the necessary part in his van, and was gone less than 45 minutes after arriving. Downstairs AC unit has been great ever since.

Very happy with the service I received. Was on time and efficient. Diagnosed problem quickly and then returned with the part later in the afternoon. Very nice and I felt like he was an expert in his craft.

The work was carried out professionally and efficiently. It all went without a hitch and servicemen were polite and courteous. Having used a number of AC service providers DT were by far the best. Price was exactly as quoted. Would recommend and will use again

Always prompt and professional service. They diagnosed the problem and have the AC working quickly. The price was really good and they don't try to sell you things you don't need.

I had used DT to replace my upstairs a/c and furnace unit last year and was very impressed by their work and professionalism. I hired them again this year to replace remaining 2 units. DT gave me very competitive price and completed the work in a day! As an icing on the cake DT also got me additional rebates from Oncor. I am extremely satisfied and will gladly recommend them to all friends and family.

Technician identified problem as a torn air duct - this was quickly patched and the noise immediately went away.

We just moved into this house and wanted to get HVAC maintenance going. Called DT Air and they were very professional and punctual with their service. The Tech came right on time, was very knowledgeable and did not try to sell anything unnecessary. Went over the details of what might need to be done, how much it would cost and stuck right to that plan. I called them back again a few days later feeling my A/C was running way more than it should. They came back and did a full check-up again and gave some advise on how to setup the dual zones due to the tall ceilings and did not even charge me for another service visit. They are honest and do quality work and stand behind it, excellent!

Very punctual. Explained all available options thoroughly and clearly, without pushing for a sale. Their prices/options were competitive. Once we reached a decision, they quickly scheduled the visit, performed the work exactly as was explained to us, and completed on time and without any issues. While doing the installation of the new unit, per our request, they took the time to inspect our other A/C unit and performed the required maintenance and repair to our satisfaction. We will definitely use their services again and highly recommend them to others.

I have used DT Air Conditioning in my past house, so I chose them to help me with my upstairs unit when it was not working. There was a leak in the compressor coil and they replaced the outside 4 ton unit with a 16 SEER Carrier unit. The installation crew did a great job. Dana is always very responsive and I have refered him to my friends and co-workers and always here positive feedback.

We paid for the A/C inspection special through angie's list...the tech arrived several hours early unannounced....we were charged an additional $60 when they arrived (to pay for his time)...then took several days to provide the requested quote... wasn't an overall bad experience, just seemed very unprofessional and disorganized...was not comfortable using their services

Always showed up for appointments as planned and on time. Spent the time to inspect the system and make good recommendations on how to proceed. Always very professional. Work was done timely and well - crew was knowledgeable and efficient. Because installed while still cool, came back a couple months after install to check system and added freon - no charge. Received quotes from 5 AC companies - DT was the best, and having used them for 10+ years I can tell you their performance is also the best. I would recommend them to anyone for repair or installation.

Went well, Dana did what he said he would do on time and at cost. Followed up on all concerns and made things right. Covered warranty part and labor just recently with excellent follow up. Answered my Call on a Sunday and had the new warranty board installed by Tuesday. The price for my new Trane A/C was very good and the install was uneventful, he insured I was happy.

I am having problems with the upstairs air conditioning unit not getting as cold as it should. I found this place on Angie's list, and called them because of their good reviews, I always try to use locally owned businesses. I called last week and got an appointment within 3 working days, the appointment was for between 9-10. I was in the shower when the tech arrived at about 820 without a call saying he was on his way, luckily my husband was home, and let him in. The tech arrived not knowing what he was there for, and when my husband opened the door , he asked if we needed freon( red flag #1). My husband said why don't we see what the problem is first . The tech proceeded into the attic and came downstairs with 2 capacitors, saying they were reading low, and should be replaced in the new future. I asked him if if they were for the upstairs air conditioner since that was what the problem , he thought he was here for a maintenance call( red flag #2). He proceded outside to check the freon level in the air conditioning unit. He came in and told me we were about 4 lbs short of freon. The cost was $78 dollars a pound. I asked if it was normal for freon to leak, he said no it should never leak, he could do a pressure test at a cost of $58 for 15 minutes. He then told me coils upstairs were most likely the culprit and they were not changed when the unit outside was changed, he also told me the unit outside was not a good quality unit and that they always recommend replacing the unit and coils at the same time so they are covered under a warranty. All good advice since I know the unit is old and likely needs replacing. The tech stated $1800 dollars to replace coils then 10 minutes later around $2000 to replace coils. He asked if I wanted any quotes on replacement parts or If I wanted freon replaced. Since I had no confidence that they knew what they knew they were doing I declined, paying only the 64.95 house call. FROM THEIR WEBSITE, NOT THE ANGIES LIST COUPON. I did not get a good feeling that this company knew what they were there. I called DT air conditioning, and attempted to tell them why I was writing a negative review. THE TECHNICAN DID NOT KNOW WHY HE WAS THERE. THIS DOES INSTILL CONFIDENCE IN A CONSUMER .When I called I was cut off in mid sentence by the owner telling me about confusion with the Angie's list coupons I told him I did not use the Angie's list coupon and the $64.95 price was from their website. That did not stop the talk about the Angie's list coupon confusion. When that stopped, he explained it was his error and did not give the tech the correct information before he got their. He also told me told the tech to be there at 8: 30 not between 9-10 1) A COURTESY CALL SAYING THEY ARE ON THEIR WAY WOULD BE HELPFUL The owner stated it is a very busy time of the year and he was out late doing service calls and did not give the tech correct information. I understand these things happen, but I was unable to explain to him why I was writing the negative review and that they should probably be clear on why they are doing a service call. 2) THE TECHNICIAN SHOULD KNOW WHY HE IS GOING TO DO A SERVICE CALL. I finally gave up on trying to explain why I was unsatisfied with the service and told him to have a good day. And hung up. He called back and offered to come back , recheck the system for free, and offered a very gracious discount. I was already too annoyed to accept, stating I had no confidence in a company that doesn't know why they are doing a service call. He also offered to not charge me for the service call. Which I thought was very generous. I explained I didn't mind paying for a service call, it was unprofessionalism that stopped me from getting any service from them. Again the owner tried very hard to make it right, with numerous offers to make things right, unfortunately first impressions are lasting. I understand and these things just happen, not everyone can be pleased with a service. I just felt as though they did not know what they were doing, therefore did not want to invest $2000 plus in repairs with this company.

Zee arrived during the time frame quoted to me on the phone the same morning. This was his third visit and he was courteous, friendly and efficient. He diagnosed the problems right away, told me how much the job would cost and then did the work quickly. He acted as much as a friend as a service provider, but was also very professional in his manner and work. I am quite pleased with the work this company provides and the prices they charge are fair. This was the third time I had to call on DT. The first time was when all of the coolant had leaked out (or was stolen) and although it was expensive to replace the whole load, it was better than getting another unit, at least at this time. The second visit was to replace a broken fan motor, also expensive but still a whole lot less than a new unit. Although Zee told me it might be a good idea to replace my 20 year old unit, he did not press the issue and advised me to wait and to see how this fix was working. I am completely pleased with this company and in particular with Zee. I will continue to use DT in the future. I will most likely go to them when I finally do have to replace the unit. .

DT Air and Conditioning Review On March 1, 2016 DT Air Conditioning & Heat installed a new Trane XC80 furnace and XV20 air conditioner system in our house. We choose them over several other bids because of their price, customer service, and patience Dana showed toward us. To most families an upgrade like this is a large investment and needs to be thought out carefully. We started the process by getting competitive bids from several local venders in January followed by research into each bid and each vendors offering. After numerous emails to each vendor with questions, DT Air Conditioning & Heat was chosen. He gave us the most detailed quote showing model numbers, specific part numbers and line by line details of what was included in the installation. In our research we discovered the installation can make all the difference. All other vendor gave us model numbers and no specific part numbers even after numerous email requests. Dana responded to every email within hours with answers and even made a second visit to the hours. The installation went flawless and the company did everything they said they would and then some even with some last minute additions we made. The installation took all day because of the amount of work they had to complete going from a 4 ton unit to a 5 ton unit. This required changes in mounting the furnace upstairs, mounting air conditioner outside and pretty big duct work changes. They finished the install as promised in one day about 8 pm but they stayed and cleanup of the attic, packed up all the outside trash and demonstrated the new system to us. Next day Dana came by house to check the installers work and asked if we had any questions. Dana and the DT Air Conditioning and Heat won our business from his competitive price, his very detailed quote, his customer service and his patience with all our questions.
