I am very upset with Dan and his installation process. He only needed to install a storm door today and not only he didn't install it right but also he cause extensive damage to the the existing door jam and trims and left a huge gap on the side and the middle. I don't think he knows how to install doors at all. Stay away from this company.

Using Angie's list I found the company. The professionals were knowledgeable and professional. They demonstrated they could repair our issue of what is normal maintenance in a home in insuring doors open easily and shut properly. They were industrious and left the area clean free. Because they were on location I asked questions about doors and their consultation of what appeared to me as concerns turned into knowing our doors were in excellent condition and not to be perplexed. To call them if we had any concerns of their workmanship and if they could provide services to us in the future. Excellent attitude and professionalism. Recommend to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dan did a great job with the installation of the custom security door. He was in and out and clearly knew what he was doing. His customer service is fantastic. He not only installed it perfectly really quickly, but he also cleaned up the place after he was done. We were having a party in the evening and my wife was very pleased that she did not have to clean up the floor where the work was performed. In fact, I was so impressed that I passed along his contact to 5 to 6 neighbors who really liked the work and are in the process of getting the doors installed. I highly recommend his professionalism and quality of work.

Dan came out and measured twice for the custom door, that we ordered from him. Four weeks later he returned with the door to do the installation and the door would not fit into the opening, it was the wrong size. Dan returned several days later with door and was installing it as I arrived. After he finished with the installation, I showed him several spots where the caulking had big gaps in it around the perimeter of the threshold. He did caulk these areas for me. The big problem was, when I noticed several good size dents in the wood trim of the door. When I asked Dan about it, he said that I could have my painter work on it and sand out the dents. That would have been as my expense not his. Unwillingly I discussed it with my painter and the the painter informed me that he would not be able to fix the dents. I called Dan and told him that he needed to replace the trim on the door and he agreed. He told me he would call me the next day in the morning after he found out from the supplier out how long it would be until the replacement piece arrived. He didn't call me in the morning, so I called him that afternoon. He said he would order the piece and that it would be two week before the trim piece would arrive. It has been FOUR months and I haven't heard anything from Dan, no email, no phone call, nothing. I took care of the trim piece via another contractor. The other problems we had with the door was that he installed it out of plumb. The door bowed out 3/4 of an inch at the top and didn't close against the weatherstripping, you could see daylight through the gap at the top of the door. He also made the kick plate on threshold with a seam right in the middle. The day after he installed the door it would not latch, I had to adjust the striker plate myself. He also sprayed wd40 oil on the hinges and got overspray all over the mahogany wood. I'm very disappointed in the product and lake of service I have received form Doors of Dallas, this door was over $4,000. and should have never been installed with the dents in it. Buyers beware...

Dallas Door & Window were very friendly and did a great job. The door is a good quality door. He was in and out.

Dan showed up as stated and I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly Dan did the install. He obviously knew what he was doing. The door was installed and everything completed in just a few hours. Everything was cleaned up better than it was before he started doing the install. I was very pleased and impressed.

Installed a replacement glass unit with the blinds inside the glass. I love it. No more knocking of the external blinds. Looks great to.

Door repair. I had new carpet installed in my living room. The carpet was more plush than the old carpet, which caused the door exterior door to drag when opening. Dan trimmed the door, and adjusted the threshold to accommodate the new carpet. The door now opens great and no longer drags.

The day that he brought the door for installation, he scratched it during shipment from his showroom to my residence. He agreed to sand and repaint the door at a later date. Then, once the door and frame were installed, he turned to me and said, ?where?s your hardware??. I told him that I thought that was included in the price. He told me that installation of the hardware was included, but not the hardware. I told him that was okay, but I wanted him to get it because he was the expert. He purchased and installed the hardware and charged me an additional $145.00 for it. He pressured me into allowing him to charge my credit card for the whole amount that day, promising to return another day to finish sanding and painting the door, finishing the trim work around the door, and installing a striker for the doorknob latch. He returned a week later and painted the outside of the door and said he would return yet again to paint the inside of the door and finish the rest of the items mentioned above. Then, he stopped answering his phone. A couple weeks later, I noticed that my doorknob was falling off. On closer inspection of the knob and bolt lock I discovered that neither fit properly into the metal door. So, I went to Home Depot and found that the set sold for $43.92. He had charged me over $100.00 markup for something that I had understood to be included in the turn-key price, and he had provided the least expensive hardware available and charged me a premium price for it. I suppose that he felt that since he was paid in full, why bother finishing the work? I never mentioned to him that I found him on Angie's List. I hope that others are well warned off of doing business with this guy.

The process was pretty good. Dan was on time and very professional when coming to provide us an estimate for the job. The price was extremely reasonable and he was able to complete the job quickly. The guy who installed the door was professional and did an excellent job. Unfortunately, the door showed up a bit different from what we had ordered, but Dan took care of the issue and fixed it as soon as he was able to get the materials. Overall, we're very happy with the end result and would definitely work with Dan again.

My experience with them so far has been very good. Their price is reasonable. They returned phone calls. They have been punctual.
