Overall, I liked their professionalism and ethics.

He responds quickly and is pleasant. He has been in the business for a long time. He can pretty well determine what the problem is very quickly. If he can’t do the work, he will refer you to someone who can. He is reasonable in his pricing.

Curtis was quick to respond to my phone message and was out to my property the very next day. He completed the work and ensured everything was in good working order. Curtis operates by allowing the customer to pay what they feel is fair. While this is an unorthodox method of payment - I felt Curtis should be commended on his level of customer service and attentiveness so I paid more than I might have to a fixed price vendor. I would highly recommend Curtis for any of your plumbing needs.

He is excellent. I don't know if he is still doing this but the time I had him, instead of handing over a bill he handed you something he had written up. It said in essence that he felt that what he did was permission from God just taking care of people and he said to pay what we felt we could afford and blessed us. I think local people I know who have used him, and there are several in the area, did what I did. I wanted to know what the standard charge in his industry would be for the work and I told him I would pay him that and that's what I did although I had to tell him to make it reasonable. I know quite well that if I had said I can't pay him, he would have said that's fine and left after wishing me a good day. If I had called him again, he would have come back and done the same thing. I don't think he has missed very many meals. He is a very good guy and he seems a very competent plumber. His work is good. There wasn't ever a time when he had to come back out and fix something. Nothing I called him on was extraordinarily complicated or puzzling or demanding. It was straightforward work, but it was work. He is a good plumber. It's really good of him to help people out.

Mr. Masters came the same day I called and installed my garbage disposal. He was pleasant, professional, did a great job and cleaned up. His fee was a big surprise.

He quickly determined that the faucet needed to be replaced and installed a new faucet. I've had no problems since.

Curtis provided same day service, arriving about 15 minutes past the scheduled time, but he had called me 30 minutes before that to say he would be about 15 minutes late. Excellent work done by a real professional.

Mr. Curtis arrived within one hour! He was done in 30 minutes and did a fantastic job. His fee was a huge surprise.

Curtis came less than an hour after being called. He diagnosed the problem; he then went to buy the parts needed and had the job done in no time. This is the second time I've called Curtis for a plumbing problem. He is a plumbing GOD!

The project didn't go at all. He did not show up and didn't phone us to reschedule after missing the second appointment.

This is the FOURTH time we've called him out to fix various plumbing problems in the house, and each time I'm more pleased with his knowledge and capability than before. He is always on time (very important), professional, and does a thorough inspection and analysis of the issue(s) before beginning work. The kids' shower was no exception. He guided us on the selection and purchase (which manufacturers to stay away from) and quite ably replaced everything.

I liked him. He was very good. He was very friendly and knew his business. He wasn't trying to sell me something that I didn't need.

Curtis came out the same day and was flexible to work around my schedule. He is a very nice man. Got the job done quickly.

Mr. Masters showed up on time. He was very friendly and introduced himself promptly when I answered the door. He fixed the first problem in less than 30 seconds. The problem was that gunk in the line had stopped up the aerator on the faucet spout. The shutoff valves probably hadn't been used in years and in turning them off and back on caused the buildup in the lines to flow through the piping and up into the spout. The second problem turned out to be that the flange around the base of the toilet had broken loose. Mr. Masters pulled the toilet off and removed the wax ring, placed a new flange on and soldered it in place. I had a new wax ring which he used and set the toilet back in place. He then mixed up a small amount of grout and filled in the gaps around the base of the toilet (which had not been done when new flooring had been put down, nor when a new toilet had been installed). At the conclusion of the repairs Mr. Masters handed me a letter stating that if I am able to pay he will accept payment but if things are tight to please accept his labor as a gift from God. I think what Mr. Masters is doing is awesome, and I know that it might make some people a little uncomfortable, but he doesn't push just gives you the letter. I told Mr. Masters I thought it was wonderful what he is doing but that I had no clue as to what repairs would be and he told me what would be a normal dollar amount. He also gave me an estimate for some work that I will have him do in the future. He makes plumbing work look effortless and I have never felt I could trust someone more than I trust him on his first visit! I have had enough service work done and I am also in the service industry so I know what it is like to see someone as conscientious as Mr. Masters is about his work. If you are looking for someone you can look in the eye and know that they are truthful and trustworthy, please call on Mr. Masters. I would like to thank all that have put in a report on Mr. Masters because your reviews are what clenched my decision to call on him!

Fantastic. Saturday at 4pm, I got a new faucet at Home Depot and discovered I couldn't install it. I called Curtis and he was here in 20 min and installed it in 20 min.

I called Curtis in the morning and he was at my house by 2pm, exactly when he said he would arrive. He had the parts in his truck and was able to fix the problem quickly. He is very nice and professional.

Curtis did a great job, and was willing to show me how he was installing the toilets as I had originally hoped to do this myself, but was having trouble getting them level. I will tell you his pricing is a bit surprising at first. He hands you a piece of paper and explains that he now accepts donations for his work as your able to afford it and also has some references to his church. I was thrown for a loop as it suddenly dawned on me why some of the amounts spent on other reviews seemed so much lower than I was expecting. As I had picked him partially on the prices I was seeing in other reviews, I just asked him how much he would have charged. While I was originally hoping to save more money, I also did not want to take advantage of him. I thought anyone else that uses him might want to be aware of this in-advance. Please keep in mind, If I had asked for a estimate this would have come up at the beginning, but I did not do that this time. I don't consider the pricing a issue, just wanted to give a fair assiment of how it went.

Outstanding. His quick response during the holidays was amazing.

It went fine. I like how he checked that the basins held water without leaking before leaving. I was surprised at how small this job was for the price he quoted me, but I paid it anyway. He took my not-so-old sink and faucet to install free of charge for a poor family in his parish who really needs one.

Went fine, except that, as other people have remarked, it would be better if he provides an up front rate rather than the donation envelope.

I called him at 8 am after my son broke our kitchen faucet. Curtis was here at 11 am and had it fixed very quickly. He has a unique approach to his job and doesn't ask for a set amount but let's you pay as you are able. Thankfully he had told me about what these jobs run and I paid him more. He's got a great reputation on Angieslist for a reason and I wouldn't hesitate to call again in the future.

Called Curtis and told him what I needed. I was in a hurry to have the repair made before the closing on the sale of the house. He came promptly. I showed him the faucet and asked how much it would cost. He gave me a letter describing his pricing. He no longer charges for his work. He is serving God and accepts payment based on what a customer wants and can afford to pay. I find this to be very unprofessional - especially since he wasn't upfront about this before he came. Because I didn't have time now to find someone else, I had him do the work. I called a contractor friend for advice on what to pay him. He told me the faucet needed to be replaced (just the plumbing outside the wall) and I explained that my husband had already done that and it was still leaking. He removed the faucet and told me the seal must have been pinched when it was installed. He put in a new one and there was no leaking until about an hour later after having used the faucet, it started leaking again. I called him back and told him it was leaking again a few days later (after the closing - where we had to explain why it wasn't fixed), and he said he could come back that day at a certain time. I told him I would not be there, most likely, but he could go ahead and do the work since it was outside. He came as promised and told my daughter that there was nothing wrong with it, it just wasn't tightened enough when turned off. He had cranked down on the valve really hard. Then he left. He spent less than 5 minutes. The next time the faucet was used it leaked again. There was no way a normal person should have to crank down that hard to keep it from leaking. It obviously was not fixed. I called another plumber who came, removed brick and the whole valve system, replaced the plumbing, fixed the brick and - voila! NO MORE LEAK!

Mr. Masters, (Curtis) was able to come out in the early afternoon after we spoke about mid-morning. I told him what I thought the problems was and I thought all four of our toilets needed repair. He arrived on-time with a nice smile and a helper. He quickly diagnosed that the problem was between three toilets and not four. He did the work quickly and 2 of the toilets needed more than just balcock repair (needed a new post also). He offered to go get one more post that he did not have in his truck. I gave him directions and he returned shortly. He finished up the fourth toilet and amazed me with the fair pricing we discussed. I used to have a plumber I trusted but he was also very expensive. This time, that fellow never returned my call. So now I have a new plumber I trust who is NOT expensive. And for those of you who care about these things, Mr. Masters is following the True Master.
