called and set appt - Jack came out and explained service to set traps to see if we still had critters in the attic. He charged to set traps and explained if caught this price included to remove animal. We wanted attic sanitized/cleaned and any holes sealed if animals were getting in. He was very nice and professional on first visit. He told us to call and let him know if animal caught and if not he would come back the next week and close any holes and clean I called him and told him nothing caught so animals must not in attic any more. He said it was holiday ( Thanksgiving) and he would call back after holidays. I never heard from him so I called him. He said he was busy and would call back. I waited another week and called him back. He set appt for Dec 28. I ask if he preferred to wait until January since we were still in the holidays and he said no. December 28, 2013 came and went with no calls and no show. Will not use again. Initial contact was great. After that he did not call like he said and then made appointment and never called and did not show up. Also feel price was too high just to set 2 traps in attic and never come back. I upgraded Jack to a D on punctuality as he did show up on time for the first and only time he came out. ------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE March 14,2014 I received a call from Tony (owner of the company) yesterday. He had read my review and called me. I did not realize or think to contact the actual owner after Jack was out told me he owned the his franchise. Tony called me and explained he owned the company and was upset over the way the franchise was handled. He apologized and explained he wanted to make things right. He stated Carlos is now running the Austin and San Antonio area. He said he is sending Carlos out the next day to do the job that was never done prior. Tony thank you so much for your integrity, it is so refreshing to see someone really care about their company. I really appreciate it Next morning, Carlos called me and explained he was on his way. He showed up and was very friendly, personable and very professional. He also apologized to us again. Awesome. Carlos came in and completed all the work and did an excellent job. He removed the traps that had been set up and cleaned, sanitized and deodorized the attic. I am very impressed with this company. We have been needing to clean the chimney and have it inspected for a while and finally got around to calling someone about it. We saw this company here on Angie's List and gave them a call on 4 March 14 and scheduled the appointment for the next day. They called prior to arrival and were prompt. The chimney was cleaned and inspected inside and out. We were also provided with recommendations for repairing some of the small cracks that could become an issue in the future, but there was no hard selling. They also inspected the outside of the home and pointed out some places that might be suspect to small rodent invasion. We really appreciated their suggestions and service and will be using them for any future needs. They did honor the 10% off coupon on Angie's list for a total of 134.99 + 11.13 (tax)=146.12. Carlos arrived on time, was very nice and forthcoming with information about my squirrel problem. I am in the mist of selling my home and this was the last repair or issue to resolve to get buyers to commit. He didn't oversell any additional services or push anything others had told me I needed done. He was very kind, and funny! I felt very confident he knew what he was doing, and sure enough the minute Carlos left - the Squirrels took a beeline towards the one-way exit trap door and haven't been back since! It meant a lot that Carlos could complete this job quickly before closing on my house, I appreciated that greatly! In addition to all of Carlos help, his area manager gave me additional information to provide to the buyers to help official close the deal. It was a great success! Thank you!!!

The service turned out good. They were responsive, and they were there on time.

A gentleman came and inspected inside the chimney and climbed on the roof to inspect stack and screen condition. Had intended on having chimney cleaned as well since we just purchased our home, but the man was honest and said it didn't need it. The whole thing only took about 30 minutes, with only a visual inspection above and below, so I do feel like the price was too high.

He arrived early, did a great job. Left the area cleaned.

My husband was the one home and he didn't say anything negative so I guess it was fine. They did what they needed to do in a timely fashion. They were clean.

Jack came to view the fireplace and try to find a reason for the drafting issue. The initial service fee was about 90$. He gave me a preview of what he believed would fix the issue (a thorough cleaning and replacement of embers and removal of a panel in the chimney) but said there is a chance the smoke still would not draft appropriately. He said a thorough cleaning was recommended every so often on fireplaces but left the decision up to me. I appreciated his honesty and asked him to come back the next day. He arrived promptly, worked quickly and the smoke drafts appropriately now. He also showed me some things about the fireplace I didn't know. He was a the 3rd service provider I had called to come fix the issue and no one else could fix it. We would definitely use them again.

The work was done in a timely manner and the installer was very professional. I would highly recommend their services.

My husband said they inspected chimney but didn't clean it.

Moved into a 90 year old home which has a FP, but gas line was capped and FP wad filled with leaves. Wanted an inspection to let me know what condition it was in and whether it was functional. Called and made appointment, they were out the next day. Josh showed up on time and explained that the fireplace was clean and in good shape. Explained that it was wide open with no chimney cap and told me it was built without a damper. He said there was no sign of animals inside. He went to the roof and measured for a chimney cap, then gave me a quote for that as well as a quote for the damper. He was friendly, professional, and answered all my questions in detail. We will definitely use their services when we are ready to proceed with cap and damper.

The serviceman was on time and professional. He gave us a detailed estimate for needed repairs - of which we have still not done. I should call and schedule the repairs to be done.|The only complaint I have is they cancelled on me twice. I was concerned I wasn't ever gonna see them.

Everything went well. Very friendly and courtious associate provided information and clarity on the type of gas logs we had, advised of a recommended cleaning schedule. Cleaned up and the whole process went smoothly.

Young gentleman came out on time. Very professional. Laid out tarp around fireplace and vacuumed/scrubbed fireplace and chimney. Went on roof and inspected. Very pleased.

Ben called to let me know he was coming for my appt. Upon arriving he cleaned the chimney but didn't have the tools for the dryer vent as he said he didn't realize that I had purchased the big deal. He said he could come back later that day to clean the dryer vent. He did offer to paint the inside of the fireplace to make up for it. I agreed to let him & it did look good. For the dryer he did clean out the back and it did have a lot of lint. Overall it went well.

He called before coming and arrived at the time he said he would be there. He worked efficiently to clean the chimney and firebox. He did a thorough job. He left the area clean. The house probably never had the chimney cleaned in 35 years so I wanted it done well prior to us moving in. I was pleased wight he service.

Completed the job in 30 minutes. This is a messy endeavor and the technician did a good job of keeping the work site and surrounding area clean. The inspection revealed a crack in the fireplace wall that needs to be monitored. Definitely hire again. Angie's 10% discount was honored.
