CHAPARRAL PEST CONTROL

We have been using Chaparral Pest Control for at least the past 10 years on a quarterly basis. In addition, they provide an annual termite treatment. Their techs are knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. We have been very pleased with the results of their work.

I purchased a home and was concerned about possibly transporting pests when I moved. Chaparral was recommended by my home inspector and I also found them here on Angie's list. I called and explained my concerns and Dusty told me what I could do on my own and we set up an appointment to spray before my move in date. The technician was on time and sprayed everything inside and out. Two weeks later I had another treatment to cover any possible infestation during unpacking. Once again they were on time and sprayed everything. I was very happy with the services I received.

He said he would take a sample over to A&M extension program to be tested and for identification of pest sample. He never called me back. I had to call them after two weeks and the person who answered told me that they never took it to be tested.

We had infestation of what we thought was termites but apparently is some similar looking species to area and not termites. We had effectively killed the trail of them the night before with regular ant spray but fearing termites had called Chaparral because the prior owners had an existing termite control contract with them continuously for prior 6 years. Thought that was good enough indication that at least the prior owners liked them well enough to continue them for that long so decided to give them a try. Chaparral transferred the contract to us, honoring the $195 transfer fee established in the original contract from 2004 (so relieved I didn't have to pay $1300-1500 other exterminators were charging for initial treatment or prevention maintenance). Because the prior owners had just performed annual termite prevention treatment, Chaparral also extended the warranty on that service for the full year (if termites were found, we would not be charged to treat for the next year). They were prompt, courteous, and knowledgable. With our unidentified termite-looking bug, they said they had recently seen them in the area and had taken samples to entomologists trained at Texas A&M to help identify them. I am looking for organic solutions, and their internal quarterly preventive treatment was organic so we had them spray internally and around perimeter of house for reasonable fee of $59.00. They were prompt, professional, very friendly, answered all my questions, and were very considerate of my dog. I will continue using them.
