He was very professional and really knew what he was doing. Got the job done with limited holes cut in the drywall (was necessary and better than removing the whole wall).

He arrived before designated time. He asked what the problem was. I showed him the problem. He tested the garbage disposal and found it to not be functioning properly. Took apart drain and found the clog. His assessment was correct that the garbage disposal was the initial problem in causing the clog. Had a garbage disposal in truck and could replace right then. In an hour, a new garbage disposal installed and with a functioning drain. HEAVEN

The plumber arrived on time and he wore the proper protective clothing to keep my floors clean. He was polite and courteous. I was provided a written estimate for the repairs. The company had all parts, tools, and items necessary to complete the repairs with them in their vehicle. He answered all questions I had, allowed me to watch the progress of the repairs, and kept me informed of his progress. I am not sure if the price for the repair was good or not because this was my first time using a plumber.

Overall I've always been pleased with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. Technically, they know their business. However, the particular technician I had the last time seemed less than enthusiastic. Perhaps he was having a rough day.. so I guess B+ is the grade I give on this job.

I called and they would not give me any estimate over the phone. They said they would charge for a trip fee and this was more than the deal to even give me an estimate. I have requested a refund.

It was fine. I would probably use them again in the future.

They were very responsive with me. It’s just my plans have changed and don’t need them anymore.

They were not able to do either job and they quoted us too high on the toilet. We have used them a couple of times. They were pleasant and apologetic that they could not do the work at a reasonable price. The scheduling was fine.

We were having issues with a clog in the pipe behind our washing machine. Jason came over and snaked the line to clear whatever blockage was there. He noticed some build up in two different locations (from soap) and took photos of each area. He recommended that I purchase their drain cleaning product, Bio Ben. I would normally not buy something like this without reading about it and comparing prices, but I did purchase it since I believed him when he said that it would work. I used the product for a few months then Jason came back over and took new pictures to show me before and after photos. There was a noticeable difference. I have not had any issues with the pipe since he snaked it and since I started using the Bio Ben. Jason was very friendly and professional and has since received a well deserved promotion. I wouldn't hesitate to call this company again.

They still haven’t called me – they said that they would call within an hour. I gave them 2 times to choose from and haven’t heard anything.

Eddie from Benjamin Franklin arrived on time. He was incredibly professional, provided excellent customer service and was very knowledgable. He answered all questions I had relating to other pumping concerns around the house, and pointed out additional potential problems that we will eventually need to update. We had a leaky outdoor faucet for a long time. We took advantage of this promotion, finally got it replaced. No more leaking faucet at a fairly reasonable price.

They showed, said I need a voucher or printed coupon that I was told nothing about. I only later found it after searching in the email. I had no access to email when the driver was there and he said he needed coupon because how did he know I wasn't just making it up!! I wasn't happy and so I need my money back.

We called 3 plumbing companies that were all highly rated on Angie's List and charged no fees for estimates. We had a small amount of flooding in our front yard due to a leaky/broken pipe near the water meter. Plumbing company #1: Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. They came out and took a look at the problem. We were told there was no way to know what the exact problem was and they were going to have to trouble shoot and possible do quite a bit of digging. Their estimate was $1509 with cautions that it could be higher if there were more problems than expected. (We ended up getting the work done later for $563 in about 45 mins, see my notes below for Ernie's) Plumbing company #2: Mike Masters Service Company. They came out and began to use a ShopVac to clear the water from the water meter area to determine the problem. After about 10-15 minutes they decided the leak was under the sidewalk and therefore would not be able to help us until the next day. They quoted us $1000-$1400. Plumbing company #3: Ernie's Plumbing Service. Fred came out, turned on the water and within a few seconds put a stick in the grass and said "the leak is right there". I was surprised he seemed so sure since I had just heard two other companies tell me they either didn't know or that it was under the sidewalk. Fred said, "I have been doing this for 30 years, I guarantee you it is within a couple inches of that spot". Fred proceeded to write up an estimate of $545 (including our Angie's List discount) plus $30 materials. He told me it was a flat fee and would not cost us a dime more even if it took them 2 days to do the job. With that assurance, I signed the estimate. Fred found the leak (and it was right where he said it was and NOT under the sidewalk) and he fixed the leak within about 45 minutes including the time it took him to go to the store to get parts. He was careful to cut the grass where he dug and put the grass right back over the area after he filled the hole back in. I was highly impressed that Fred was able to quickly diagnose and fix our problem. I told Fred about the other company telling us the problem was under the sidewalk. He laughed and told us even if the problem had been under the sidewalk it wouldn't have cost us a dime more because he would have just 1) dug two holes on either side, 2) cut the pipe on both sides, 3) slid the pipe out, 4) put a new pipe through the hole, and 5) use new connectors to connect the new pipe to the existing pipes. A solution that required no digging under the sidewalk at all. I was amazed....yes, work smarter, not harder! I would recommend skipping the other guys can call Ernie's....ask for Fred!

Our appointment was confirmed on the morning we were scheduled. I knew who was coming and when they would arrive. The tech put on shoe covers before entering the house and did not leave any mess for me to clean up! Great job and worth the price!

Went great! It didn't take very long and my shower hasn't leaked since.

The original request on the toilet was to replace the tank and reset the toilet, but as it turned out it was cheaper to replace the toilet with a newer one. I was okay with that since the fixture was original to the house and needed an upgrade, but honestly my husband thought the quoted price for the reset was outrageous. Having said that, the plumber let me know that it would be cheaper to replace the faucet fixture if I bought my own and I went to Home Depot and made that purchase while he went to get the new toilet. His professionalism and work was excellent. He knew I had an afternoon appointment and worked to get me finished in time to meet that commitment, which he did. I will definitely ask for him again if needed. I'm thinking of replacing the toilet in the master if there is another good Angie's List discount run.

Robert was excellent, he was there right on time, got the work done in a timely manner and was very professional.

BFP was punctual, courteous, and kept us informed on progress. Their estimates were accurate. They did quite good work. However, the work was very pricy. I estimate well over $100 per hour. Possibly over $200 per hour

Plumber disconnected drainpipe under kitchen sink, cleaned & reconnected it. He explained everything he was doing & showed me what was causing the problem. He was friendly and professional and left the work area clean.

Corrected an issue with the master bedroom toilet (toilet not seated correctly on flange), by replacing and re-seating toilet.

Robert Renfro went above and beyond to check where the problem was at. Made sure that it was fixed and stayed that way, before he left.

Just fine. Plumber was efficient, clean and explained entire process. Had to take out brick and explained he could not replace bricks that were removed.
