It was great. I called them the same day and they were out two hours later. The guy who came was knowledgeable, respectful and clean. He knew exactly what was needed and he told me what parts I needed to buy so that he could install them. They certify their service and their is a warranty with their service. They gave me $50 off on the next service on the next job I call them on.

I purchased a $99 Angie's List Big Deal for this service and their prices were too expensive. Whatever the work was that needed to be done above the price of the Big Deal I ended up calling someone else because Benjamin Franklin was too expensive. They came out pretty quickly to do the service.

It was fine. They were a little bit high on the price so I don't know if I would recommend them. The service was good.

Called around 9 am on a Saturday to have a plumber come out to unclog the main sewage line from a bathroom to the street as we developed a sever backup and overflow. A schedule was set for early afternoon, and was given serviceman's name along with safety details. Received call an hour later asking if they could come earlier as the previous job had not taken as long as scheduled. Within 30 minutes he arrived and accessed what was the problem. After giving us an estimate of cost he started to work. After he cleared the two clogs he found he checked the flow of out going water from the kitchen in the back of the home while checking all other areas that flow into the sewage system to ensure that the clogged areas had been cleared. During this check he found that we still had some blockage. He again worked all areas and retested. When he was assured that we did not have any clogged areas to cause overflow in sinks, tub or, toilet areas he informed us that it was fixed. David who was our servicemen was very professional, showed us an estimate before work began, cleaned up, always kept us informed, and treated us and our home with respect. We felt that David cares about the work (service) that he provides his customers and goes beyond to ensure that the problem is solved. We understand that we will have to call a plumber more often as we have an older home and older pipes have more problems, but when we have had to call plumbers we have felt that we were being taken advantage of as it has usually been on the weekends and holidays. But with Benjamin Franklin schedule and the professionalism we have seen, when we need a plumber again we will call Benjamin Franklin and request David.

He fixed the leak buit gave my wife some bs about needing to replacve this valve and other things and did not even identify correctly the type of faucet we had that he said needed repairs. I will not use them again.

It went well. They're very professional.

We had them out to work on two commodes. Both needed all of the internal parts replaced, which we had them do. We noticed a few weeks later that one of them was making an odd whistling sound when it flushed, they came back out at no cost to replace the parts to stop it from making the sound. We have since made them our regular plumber and always ask for David, who is an excellent technician, and the company is always willing to send David out for us. They are always on time and make sure to confirm their appointment time prior to arriving.

He showed up on time and that's about the only good thing I have to say about these guys. Their quote was 3 times higher than the next highest bidder (I contacted 4 different companies). I ended up paying a quarter of what Benjamin Franklin was asking for and the company I hired did an outstanding job. Benjamin Franklin's technician was nice and polite until I told him I wasn't going to have them do the job and that's when his attitude changed. He looked p***** and almost slammed the door on his way out! I don't recommend this company. Do your own research and always get at least a second estimate. Their prices are outrageously high, even with the coupon they are offering.

Advised us on the problems that remained and gave us possible solutions to the problem. The problem was that the larger drain under the house fed into a smaller drain that went to the sewer. The technician offered to do more by using camera and water jet, but we declined at the time. We will probably have that done in the future by ben franklin plumbing.

When he came out for the service he said this was for $79 off, not the purchase amount. He said I would have to pay additional money. This is not what the deal states. I have used this same deal in the past. I am just requesting a refund.

They took very good care of us. They were awesome and will be our plumbers from now on.

After listening to the dishwasher begin a cycle and looking at the pipes under the sink, he diagnosed the issue as a mechanical problem. Instead, the problem was a clogged hose connecting to the disposal. Had the plumber actually unhooked the hose and tried to run water from the sink through it, he would have seen the problem. I wasted $400 on a new dishwasher that I didn't need.

They are just competent and they arrive when they say they are going to. Their work has been excellent.

The booking process was very simple and the plumber arrived on time. That's where the good experience ended. Without touching the leaky joint he said the garbage disposal was cracked and needed to be replaced. When I pointed out again that water was pouring out at the joint, he said it might need a new gasket. I told him I'd rather replace a gasket than replace a disposal but he said he couldn't replace a gasket. I told him that if I replace the disposal, I know the brand I want and would not be buying a disposal from him. Next I told him that several weeks ago the sink had clogged and my husband snaked it but it recently backed up again slightly and may need a clean out. He said to snake the drain was $234.00 plus he would have to charge another $117.00 to open the P-trap. Note that he wanted to charge $351.00 to snake a simple kitchen drain. I told him to just leave I didn't want him in my house and he was done. Then he said he's waive the $34 so I only had to pay $117.00 over an above the Angie's List coupon. I said his charges were way too high and he needed to just leave. He then offered to call his supervisor who then reduced the charge to $100 over the Angie's list coupon, thus $300 to snake an kitchen drain. I was stunned and not happy at the bait and switch routine. My recommendation is AVOID. I saw his price list and its through the roof from what I could tell. Hook up a HE dishwasher: $453 plus parts. Replace toilet handle: $117 plus part. Repair .50" water leak: $320. You decide. I'm out the $79 I paid for the Angie's List coupon and all I got for it aggravation.

I have used them at least five times since the initial Angies List deal. They can be a bit more expensive than others but I can assure you it is worth the extra money. They are quick, they are honest, and most importantly they do the work right and they guarantee it. I highly recommend them.

It went very well. Plumber arrived at the appointed time. Very professional, did the work in an expedition manner. Cleaned up everything before he left.

Our 2nd floor master shower drain was backing up, so I contacted Adam Stockton at Benjamin Franklin to come out and take a look at the situation. Turned out there was a hole in one of our pipes, and we had water coming down through the 1st floor guest room closet and down the walls. Adam worked closely with Dry Force LLC to dry out the water damage before it became a further issue, and he was able to repair and seal up our pipes properly. He also performed a balloon test on the shower drain to test the drain pan for any further issues we might encounter. He is great to work with - super nice, very knowledgeable, and fair. I enjoy dealing with him and will definitely contact him again in the future.

We have used Benjamin Franklin several times when it came to household plumbing issues, but I always felt that they were a little pricy. I know they have an invoice sheet that they work off of for pricing so when I saw the deal here on Angie's List I thought I would give them one more chance. However, I wanted to call them and get the pricing of the two things I needed done before purchasing the deal in case the deal wouldn't pay for itself. The lady on the phone refused to give me the approximate pricing for anything, wouldn't even let me tell her what I needed pricing for (one toilet unclogged - easy, and the kitchen sink resealed). Nothing difficult or time consuming. Last month I chose to go with another company to fix plumbing problems in my rental house and I am now no longer going to use BF to fix anything in my own home unless it is a true emergency and there is absolutely no one else available.

There were no additional costs beyond the prepaid cost of the deal. I have used their services a few different times over the course of about five years before this experience. They have never been more than thirty minutes late to an appointment each time I have used them and they have kept me informed each time. They have always done a great job and I have no complaints at all.

Went good. I have a pipes problem under my house, so they couldn't really fix the issue without a HUGE undertaking of digging up under the house etc. In the end, they left with the problem unsolved but made some suggestions of some stuff I could buy ;) and "fix it myself". Satisfied.

The crew of BF, their diggers, and our insurance company all became our best friends and family. BF went above and beyond the call of duty on this project. Their prices were a little higher than most, but their work was outstanding and trustworthy - also guarranteed! They will always be my go-to plumbers! Great company!

I called on a Friday afternoon and was able to schedule for the next Saturday morning. Wes arrived on time and completed the needed repairs fairly quickly. He was professional, courteous, and cleaned the area where he worked after completing the job.

I purchase $200.00 of plumbing service for $89. I called on Friday 8-29 for service to repair water leak. I told the company the we had water leaking under the shower on to the floor. Plumber did come out on a Saturday, looked at the water on the floor went into the joining bathroom, at the bath/shower wall. He said the tile and shower needed caulking, the water was going into the wall and leaking into the other bathroom. Told me to caulk and should be fine. Did not charge me and left. We did not use the shower for a week and I did some caulking. Water was coming under the shower onto the floor. Called back and I again told them this is a pier and beam home. Plumber came on 9-8, I told him what is co-worker stated and he said that was not correct. He went into the bathroom (the one where the water was leaking) and stated the toilet in this room wax ring needing replacing-when you flushed the toilet water splashing up underneath the shower and coming out. He replaced the ring, flushed the toilet several times, no water. I had the cover to the crawl space open and looked down toward the bathroom saw some water coming down, he flushed the toilet. I could see some water, but slowly stopped. He never offered to go underneath the home to see what was going on. Gave me the bill for $320. and left. He was not gone 30 minuets and water began leaking under the shower. Same problem. I decide two chances was enough. I called another out told him what was going on. I explained what the other plumbers had done and not done. He immediately went under the house. After about 30 min he came and told me the problem is in the water line in the wall between the 2 bathrooms. I will not go into all the details of what this plumber did----there is no water leaking anywhere. Seems to be the two plumbers from Ben Franklin tried to determine the problem from above and not taking the time to go under the home. The manager of Ben Franklin has tried to contact me about what happened-unable to catch each other-but I did send and email to his business manager concerning the situation.

Have on/off experienced foul smell/odor from bathroom sink drain, shower drain and washing machine hose drain line - I wondered if he should open pipes and clean but the water was flowing so there wasn't a blockage. The plumber recommended a solution that I treat the pipes daily with for a week, then a pm ea month thereafter. Of course was cheaper if I bought 2 btls. we'll see if this helps/eliminates the odor. Jeff ? seemed knowledgeable, was polite and most helpful..
