Robert was great - he came out once on a Saturday to assess the problem but needed parts from a store only open on weekdays. He was able to unclog the drain during that visit and he didn't charge us for the trip! Very punctual, took care to wear booties and to keep things clean and dry while working. Came back at our request to fix the shower and took care of it in a little over an hour (including a trip to get the necessary parts). He needed a socket wrench to fix the shower but didn't have one on the truck - apparently not much plumbing requires socket wrenches? Luckily we had a set and he got the job done. Really nice guy and we would definitely have him back!

We heard water dripping. The plumber investigated several possibilities and found the pinhole leak in the wall which turned out to be the source. And fixed it. He did a great job!

I feel like they jacked up the price a bit just so I'd have to pay a little over the special. They fixed a bath tub drain.

Overall, experience was fine. Purchased an $89 angies list deal for $200 of plumbing services -hoping- the $200 of value would cover the very, very simple replacement of the shut-off valve and flexible tubing to a toilet. Benjamin Franklin's scheduling, arrival, professionalism, punctuality, parts, and work all top-notch A rated. Overall the job took less than 15 minutes, including my discussion distraction, and the job was performed perfectly. I ended up having to shell out another $23 bucks to complete the job bringing total cost to $112, which isn't in my mind, a "great deal" but rather a pretty average price. The one thing I have to say though is that I couldn't imagine hiring them to do the job without the angie's list deal. After recognizing that the job took apx 1/4 hour of labor and $20 in parts at retail cost (I am sure wholesale cost would be cheaper) from the plumbing supply store, I was surprised that their "standard fee pricing" was a $79 trip charge plus $223 for this "job" which would have brought the total to $302. Don't get me wrong, I don't think these guys make much, if any, money on these angie's list deals (since I'm sure Angie's list took at least 40% of the $89), but their normal price of $302 for a job you could do yourself by watching a youtube video and spending $20 in parts isn't encouraging me to hire them in the future unless I buy another deal. In closing, great to work with on small jobs using Angie's list credits, but don't think the "punctual promise" is worth 3x the average cost for the job.

The plumber arrived right on time. He was unable to apply our discount voucher because we do not have a clean-out near the blockage in the sewer line. It was necessary to run the snake and the video camera down the air pipe on the roof. He gave us helpful advice on how to minimize the likely hood of having a repeat problem.

Unbelievable! the service we received to check for any problems that might have been caused by foundation repairs. Two years ago, we underwent a very overwhelming situation with our under slab entire sewer system having to be replaced due to corrosion. One of those very expensive, tunneling jobs of our entire system. Ben Franklin did the work and provided a 20 yr warranty. Jeff Baer was the manager contact person in 2012 and he was so wonderful to deal with in this very overwhelming situation. 2 yrs later, this past week of Christmas, We are in the process of trying to close the sale of this property and after inspection resulting in major foundation repairs and leveling, there was concern that there might be some leaks... I contacted Jeff Baer on the 23rd, the day we were suppose to close but rescheduled due to the concern, and he and his team were out there first thing the next morning, Christmas eve, and spent about 5 hours, pressure testing all the lines and sending a camera thru the entire system to make sure everything was intact, and working correctly. The buyers plumber wanted to charge me $500 to send a camera in to inspect and they wouldn't be able to get to it for a couple weeks. Needless to say, Jeff's inspection showed all system in working order, and he provided me with a statement which satisfied the final concern and resulted in a closed sale! All of this unbelievable service was free of charge, covered under our warranty that Ben Franklin provides. I cant say that I have ever experienced customer service like it! Jeff called to check on the progress of the closing and also spoke with the new owner and transferred the warranty into her name, and assured her that he would be there for her if their services were needed. Unbelievable!

Good job. He knew exactly what to do. The price was quoted up front. No surprises no ad on charges. Very professional spent time making sure the work area was clean after the work was finished.

They're good, they're an excellent company, came right away, called you before they gets here again. They did everything and very professional. I would use them again in the future.

After 25 minutes of utter confusion, I figured out there are 2 locations (Dallas and Rosenberg) of which the Rosenburg location does not honor Angie's list coupons or the coupons on their own website. Also, the number on their angle's list page will give you their Dallas number so if you are in Houston, you will waste time setting up an appointment only to be told after the appointment is scheduled that you have to call the other number (where they will not honor any coupons). This needs to be fixed at the service provider and Angie's list ends. The lady I spoke with was very vehement about not having anything to do with Angie's.

The two man crew arrived within 1 hour of my call. The dispatcher called in advance to let me know that the plumber was on his way and the approximate minutes of arrival of which I appreciate. The lead plumber did a walk through of my property to attempt to identify the location of the clean-out for the plumbing stoppage in the half bath. He discovered that there was no clean-out system on the side of the house where the half bath was located. He felt when the house was under construction 30 years ago the plumbing company should had installed a clean-out system on the side of the house where the half bath was located. He and his assistant attempted to clean out stoppage from the front yard main sewer line which did not solve the problem. The lead plumber then informed me that they had no choice but to go on top of the roof and clean-out the stoppage from the 3 inch vent. He explained the major price increase due to the roof access. This approach did clear out the stoppage. The lead plumber adjusted the water level on the toilet and provided a large bottle of "Bio Ben" drain cleaner as a future preventive. He credited me with the $79 coupon that I purchased through Angie's List in advance of his arrival. The lead plumber cited "absolutely no warranty" on the paperwork due to roof access only to service sewer line.

This was our first experience with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and the service was excellent from appointment through completion. The customer service is outstanding with just the right uses of voicemail and email to communicate information about the appointment date and time, notification of the service personnel coming to do the work, and their actual arrival time. The plumbing work was efficiently delivered by Jeremy who worked diligently to compete the job and communicated with us in a pleasant and courteous manner throughout. We would not hesitate to use this firm anytime in the future and would gladly recommend them to family and friends for their plumbing needs. Thank you Jeremy and staff for handling our plumbing problem in such a winning way!

Greg arrived on time and was very friendly and professional. He cleaned up the work area and even offered to dispose of the old garbage disposal. I have to say I am very impressed with the efficiency of this company; I called on Saturday and got a next day early morning appointment. The next day, they called to let me know Greg will arrive in 30 minutes. Sure enough within 30 minutes Greg was at my door. He was done with the job in less than 30 minutes. I got a follow-up call a day later. I would highly recommend this company if you want efficient, honest work with no hidden charges. I have other projects lined up and once I get enough funds saved up I will call and ask for Greg. Ps. They guarantee their work for a year.

My experienced turned out fine. I was not happy with the final price and was surprised how much it was.

Good. Fairly quick. Bought 89 coupon for 200 worth work. Total bill 232 which would be too much for that service. With 89 coupon I paid 32 more for 120ish total which seemed fair. Feels like price is jacked up on coupon purchasers

It went extremely well. The technician was very professional and did exceptional work. While the price was a little expensive, the quality of the work and the parts provided were well worth it in the long run.

Waste of money and time. They did not even replace the gasket. They gave me a quote for $300 or something to replace the whole gasket and its accessories. I ended up doing it myself.

Arrived slightly later than the scheduled time, but called 30 minutes before the time slot to communicate actual arrival time. Walked me through the potential issues, potential resolutions and the cost of each. He executed on the most likely (and the cheapest) solution - hasn't dripped since.

We had an odor in our house and we couldn't find the source. We had Benjamin Franklin Plumbing come out to identify and correct the problem. He pulled the strainer out of the shower and cleaned it, added water to a couple of fixtures that had run dry, and let us know he didn't recommend any other service. In fact, the work was so minimal that he recommended getting a refund back from Angie's List. I appreciated his honesty. He was very clean, very courteous, and gave wrote down some tips on how to keep the odor at bay. We have followed the guidelines for about a month and so far have not noticed the odor return.

They were excellent! The technician was very helpful. For it to have been a bad experience I was encountering, they made it a good experience.

The job went fine. It took a good amount of time to get the line clear, but that was not too surprising. The cost seemed high, but I had not had that type work done in a long time. Next time I will get more estimates.
