When I first called them to come out, both of my toilets had clogged. Ricky "snaked" both of them. While he was here, I talked to him about installing a new toilet. He gave me a price, and was able to install it on the same visit. He was very professional and did an excellent job. I love my new toilet! I would definitely use them again. They arrived promptly, and did the work very well.

Originally planned to have him replace the shower faucet handle and spout with replacement items I previously purchased. He couldn't get the handle part to come off without additional work that would have added excess expense (over $200 more as I recall). Instead he replaced just the leaky spout with a part from his truck. Also asked him to fix a sink faucet handle that rotates too far to turn off the water. But he couldn't fix that either without a lot more expense. Bottom line is that Benjamin Franklin is VERY expensive. The plumber was very nice, but their price list is IMO is very high. The only reason this was remotely affordable was because of the Angie's List discount. I would use them again but not without another discount plan.

This place and their 'coupon' was a SCAM! They don?t provide estimates over the phone. They only provide an estimate after coming out and looking at the work to be done in person. For that to happen, they charge a $79 trip charge. OR if you buy the Angie?s List deal, they waive the trip charge, but you have to buy the coupon BEFORE they come out and BEFORE they provide an estimate. So either way, before before you can even have an idea of what kind of price they might charge, you are out either $80 or $90. What a joke!!

They were prompt, and gave me many options on what I needed done. Everything went really well with this company and I was pleased with the service.

He was on time. He was respectful of my home. He did not leave a mess. His fee was fair. I would use him again.

it went great, he not only did xtra stuff, he educated me on several related items also,,,, something i hadnt ever seen by any other service provider , he cleaned up entirely after his work, and i do mean entirely!

They replaced two faucets for me. Everything went great. I use them all the time.

The initial contact with the company was great. The receptionist was professional and courteous. I told her we had a leak in the water line leading to one-half of our sprinkler system. She said they did not work on the sprinkler system itself but they could fix the leak in the water line leading to the sprinkler system. She said she could have someone out to fix it the same afternoon. I told her I was planning to buy the Angie's Deal, $89 for $200 worth of work but had not made the purchase yet. She did schedule the work for 3 - 5 the same afternoon and said I could still purchase the Deal. I was very satisfied at this point. I purchased the Deal and Travis, the service person arrived about 4:30. Travis immediately told my husband that they did not work on sprinkler systems. (He didn't seem very happy about being here). My husband explained it was not the sprinkler system but the water line leading to the sprinkler system and that we had told the receptionist the same thing and she said they would handle that. Travis told him the charge would be $1150 which was later confirmed by Jason from the company to be their price for fixing a water line leak. This price seemed excessively high to my husband and he was not impressed with Travis' customer service. My husband said 'no deal' and Travis left. My husband sent an email to the company voicing his feeling about the experience and Jason called him this morning. Jason confirmed that the $1150 price was correct but that he would talk to Travis the next day about the experience. We have used this company before and were very pleased with their entire service but not this time. Today we had the leak fixed for $300. I don't know if we will use this company again or not even though we have a $50 and a $25 coupon we received for previous work.

This was an Angies' list deal. I paid $89 for $200 worth of plumbing work. When he got there the bill came to $289. Strange. So in effect I paid $89 my son paid another $89 and the job was 289. So as you can see the advertisement in Angies was erroneous. We actually paid $180 for 289 worth of work. 22 Anyway they came out on a Sunday without a trip fee and worked for several hours in a driving rain. So, I am still satisfied with their work.

They were very responsive, so I was very pleased with that but I wasn’t happy with the pricing. I called them and they came out that afternoon and unstopped it and that was fine but there was some confusion which really wasn’t a big deal. They came out expecting to do one thing and actually did another. What happened is somehow when they dispatched the plumber, what he was being dispatched for got mixed up and he thought he was doing something entirely different and so he didn’t bring his camera that they use to go down the line to inspect. They even came back and did that and that wasn’t my issue. My only issue was the price they charged me and all they did was run a snake and he was there probably fifteen or twenty minutes. Since then I have had no problems with the kitchen sink clogging up. They were fine but they were too expensive for what they did.

Has been unclogged before at much higher cost of over $200, Angies list had a coupon for $79 from Ben Franklin, WOW!! What a value!! They were quick and great!! More professional than any plumber I have ever seen, clean, uniform and he put a huge mat on the floor so he wouldnt make a mess. He also ran a camera thru the drain to show us where the problem was, while he had the camera out he put it thru our main line outside to see where our root problem was at no charge! Showed us just where to dig to go around the root isf we wanted to do it ourselves! You cant beat that kind of service and going above and beyond the coupon! Ben Franklin also provided a guarantee of 1 free service call if the drain became re-clogged within the next month. Do yourselves a favor and don't ever deal with any other plumber!!

It went very well. They were very nice and very efficient. They did all the work very quickly. We were very happy. In the mean time, we have some other issues with some other plumbing and they did said they are willing to do that. We are going to call them back to finish off with the other projects. We paid more than the big deal of $25 because we had to buy the parts. I guess they are average on their price. They were punctual and they called 15 minutes before they came.

I opened the faucet to show them how the stoppage of the sink was. This company tried to charge me $117 to remove water from drain. It took half an hour to argue with them. Finally they agreed to snake the drain with the price I bought from Angie's list. But they couldn't clean the drain. I have to ask the other plumber to fix this problem and wasted my $79 on this company. Bad behavior, I won't use them again.

I had to have them come back and fix one of the toilets. They had to fix the balance. Their prices are to high. He did a good job and gave good service. He came out within a week or two. It was done in a timely manner.

Very professional company that gets A+ for responsiveness and communication. Will def use in the future.

The service was good. The guy came out, but it seems I have to give them a call this coming week because the liner that they replaced between the refrigerator ice maker and the wall is leaking again and it is leaking on our floor. The only reason we discovered it is because we are having all our wood floors resurfaced and stained. The floor crew discovered it which I was not very happy about so I have to call them and complain about it. We just got them to turn it off so we do not have to worry about it. They came out within the week after we purchased the Big Deal and there were no extra charges to the $75 Big Deal, but he was not too pleased because it ended up costing only $39. He was not very pleased when he could not charge his travel fee to me because I wrote down exactly what I was quoted when I called Angie’s List and how they said that the travel fee was waived. So, he went outside to talk to his company about that. I like that they were prompt and everything. I just did not like the fact that he got upset when he could not charge the travel fee and then now down the track, when I found out that the line he had replaced must have been a faulty line. It is leaking out is what my husband and floor guys said. The pricing was fine. I would probably use them again in the future.

They were great for a preliminary check. When it came to the work it wasn't good. He was nice and professional. After the inspection he said it was going to cost. I thought I was going to have two hours of labor. I wanted them to replace a faucet. He was very kind. He did try to fix the leak temporarily. I even had the new faucet. He said he couldn't do it.

All went awesome. The tech was on time, polite and just got the job done. I am so glad I didn't try it myself!

Quick response and friendly service. Did a good job on the drain, but misdiagnosed the issue with the shower. I had to get another plumber to look at it and correct the problem.

Ben Franklin Plumbing showed up at exactly the time indicated on their initial response.. They quickly ascertained the issue and helped guide us through the fixes. They were very informative and helped us understand the root causes of the issues, not just that there was an issue. I would definitely use again, and recommend to others.

They were too expensive so we didn't use them.
