Description of Work: This was our 3rd major job using Ben Franklin; they replaced 2 50 gallon hot water heaters in our attic with energy efficient units that they will service for the next 10 years. Ben Franklin isn't the cheapest contractors in town but we have found that they are the Best Quality and stand behind their products and services.

Description of Work: This was a repair under warranty for a toilet they replaced a year ago. Some part in the toilet had failed. I called them late in the day the day before and they were able to schedule me first thing the next morning. No charge, no hassle, no problems.

Description of Work: The price quoted to do most work required was extremely high. I purchased the $89 for $200 in plumbing and they could only do one thing and not the complete job on that.

Description of Work: Repairs were poorly done and ridiculously expensive. Almost everything they touched I've had to have redone (by someone else) or it's leaking or broken again.

Description of Work: Very disappointed in their service. Service man came out to replace shower faucet, after telling us we needed a handyman to remove the tile he would replace for around $400. On his return visit he had a long list of reasons why the price went from $400 to over $1200. I contacted another plumber who replaced the faucet on first visit for under $300. My end impression was the serviceman did not have the experience to deal with the replacement. I was very upset that the bid changed so drastically from the first visit to the second. I would absolutely not recommend Benjamin Franklin for any plumbing needs.

Description of Work: I received a courtesy call to tell me when the technician would arrive, and he arrived on time. He was very professional and explained the cost of everything to me. I was initially only getting replacement faucets in the bathroom, but ended up purchasing a whole house filter. I'm sure the price was fair for the quality, but it was more than I should have spent.

Description of Work: They were very punctual. I had called them to clean out the drain in my laundry room. The plumber said he could not clean the whole thing, so my husband ended up getting a flexible brush and cleaning it himself using a boroscope. We were still charged 350 for the cleaning. The guy was nice and they were on time.

Description of Work: We had a leak at the wall fitting supplying a commode. The fitting was quite old and needed to be replaced. They sweated off the old one and replaced it withmuch better materials. A little pricey, but they do great work.

Description of Work: Cleared a drain line.. it drained for a few months then began to drain slowly again. We are getting ready to call a plumber again to clear the line.

Description of Work: He came on time and proceeded to fix two dripping faucets in my master bath. He determined that it was only the hot water side and repaired both the hot water sides of each. He did nothing to the cold water side because he said it was unnecessary. I cannot remember how long ago he came, but I now see that they are beginning to drip again so I feel like I am left to pay for a service call again! This is why I gave a C rating.
