Plumber was very nice and professional. At first he said the diverter was not the problem. When I explained it had just started and not been a problem before. He checked again and said he could replace the diverter but would have to come bac next day since he didn't have the part. He did come back next day. Next day he cam back and repaired the faucets. It was the diverter and I had him go ahead and replace the spickets since he was already there and they were as old at the diverter. I don't have a complaint with Benjamin Franklin plumber, he was great. Just not sure the knobs for hot and cold should have been as tight. My shower head may not be compatible for the new diverter ********* I am completing my review today because I signed back in to check on a laundry appliance repairman. 12/31/15 ng

Technician did a great job and we have not had any further issues.

Arrived on time. Got right to work and completed the project quickly. Provided additional information for future maintenance of drain line.

The plumber showed up on time, talked me through the options (replacing the whole toilet, replacing the flapper, etc) then did the work I requested quickly.

This provider even helped with another small service at no extra charge. very thorough.

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing did another job for us two days prior to our last job. You can read my other review. Both jobs were completed on time and to my satisfaction. James, the first plumber, was extremely professional and helpful. He went above and beyond and was eager to help, and I gave them an A rating. However, Travis was the complete opposite. He got the job done, which I can't complain about, but he was horrible at customer service. He actually asked us to make a decision on our plumbing repairs right now or he "was going to leave". When you are deciding to spend $500+ you should be allowed 5 minutes to decide without being pressured that he was going to leave. I didn't get the impression that he was pushing for a sale, but that he was wanting to do the least amount of work so that he could leave. After completing the repair, and since we already had a plumber, I asked what it would charge to repair a running toilet, which I knew was a simple repair. He quoted us a price of $450+. Again, he wanted to know if we were willing to pay right now or he was going to leave. I told him to leave and then repaired the same toilet for $20. It seemed like he was angry to be here and to do his job and just wanted to leave. I like the promptness of Benjamin Franklin, but just be careful who you get. Ask for James B. Another thing that made me angry was that I had a $50 coupon that I retrieved from their website, but they would not honor it because we submitted the coupon after the work was complete instead of before and we had also used a coupon on a prior and a completely separate plumbing repair. The only restrictions were "Limit one coupon per visit" - we did that, "not to be combined with any other offer" - unless they consider prior work "an offer", we did that, "must be presented at time of service" - notice that it doesn't say before service so we did that, and "certain restrictions apply" - ah yes, the catch all phrase to get out of honoring the coupon. We just dropped over $1,500 on your services within two days. Honor your coupons!

They were flexible in adjusting to coming out when we finally got the dishwasher installed. But before I purchased the product, I called and asked if it would cover a dishwasher install. The receptionist said she couldn't say because it they would need to see it first. So when they called to schedule the appointment, the guy assured my husband it would cover the cost, but it didn't. When they got to our home, the guy pulled out a schedule of fees, and said the normal fee to install a dishwasher washer was more than the 200.00. I think the communication between the workers and the office needs to be improved.

He was very nice and courteous when he showed up for the work. I called them because there was a leak under my kitchen sink. They came came out on time for the 9 am appointment. When he looked under the sink he noticed that I would need to get a whole new faucet. I asked him how much it would be to install the new faucet. He told me that it would be $315 and I would need to provide the faucet. He pressured me to schedule an appointment for this Saturday even though I did not have the faucet at this time. So I did, and when he left I called around to find out how much it would be. I was getting price quotes from $75-150. So I then called and canceled the appointment for Saturday due to the gross over price of the work. He made it sound that only $89 toward the $315. He was not acknowledging the $200 from the deal.

Started out with possibilities of a cost of $750 and removal of brick etc. but after getting started was able to change out one from the outside, and the other we were able to reuse parts of another. In the end it was $24 more than my coupon. I was very pleased, it doesn't usually work out so well .

Provider was able to come out the next day, arrived on time. Provider was polite and professional. My only concern was the price. It was $229.00 to change out a $10 faucet. There were no complications to the repair like going into a wall or anything, and it only took the guy about 20 minutes to complete, so I'm not sure why it cost so much.

Did not use service because they would not cover repair that I needed (unclog toilet).

They took their time, worked hard, and charged me the most reasonable rate possible for the work done.

They tried to clean the drain but they failed to do so. They said there was the broken pipe and they couldn't clean the drain unless replace the sewer line. Since they couldn't clean the drain, I have to pay another $150 to ask the other plumber to diagnose. The second one also said there was the sewer leak under foundation and the cleaned the drain from the roof. I would like to use Benjamin Plumbing to do the basic drain cleaning. Other than that, I won't ask their help because their price is very high for the other service.

Tenants said there was a slow drain in hallway bath tub. At first the plumber said he have to snake the drain from the overflow which is not the approved cleanout. After agued with them, they cleaned the drain at the cleaning at the coupone price.

Easy fix, in and out within an hour or so.

They did a great job in installing the new sink and water connections in a very tight location. Very punctual and professional.

We had a leak in our toilet. We thought it was leaking at the base of the toilet. I asked the tech how it would be to replace the wax ring. He said $320. When he found it was actually leaking from the tank, I asked him how much it would be to replace the bolt. He said it was the same price at $320. To install a whole new toilet he said it would be $320 as well. The deal I purchased gave me a credit of $200, so each of these would have been an additional$120. Not counting the $80 I spent on the deal. For the new commode, he quoted me a price of $600. I can buy the same commode for $450. The prices are outrageous! The guy they sent out was very nice but I've decided to request a refund. My husband is probably going to fix the it himself.

It turned out okay. It ended up like $125 altogether. It was a good experience. I would recommend them. They had to go some place to get the part. They worked the whole time they were here. They left for about half hour and came back. They were finished within probably half hour. So, they were pretty efficient. Possibly, the charge might have been a little bit high. That's the only problem I could think of.

The deal was probably worth it. They did not fix the problem of the jiggling chain. It doesn't turn off. I wanted something else done and I asked for a quote. They came out and quoted me some horrendous price for doing something. We tried to convince me that I would need to replace my toilets because the old toilets eventually don't flush anymore. It wasn't even something I was asking about.

Ben Franklin was very prompt and courteous. They wanted $2500 to install a Aquasana Whole House Water Filtration system. Rhino EQ-600. It would probably be 6 hours of work and they wanted $2500! I'm sure they do good work, but ripping people off for a one day job is ridiculous. I called Staggs Plumbing also here on Angie's list and they did the whole jib for $1500. It took them about 6 hours. Very professional and quality work. It was still very expensive but at least not gettin ripped off like Ben Franklin tried. Wow!

Very reasonable and quick. Suggested minor fix as opposed to replacing the pipe.

Plumber arrived on time and appeared knowledgeable about how to correct fixture issues. Problems corrected. Additional work on toilet repairs seemed high and I ended up using another plumber for the second job.

The serviceman was punctual and very polite. He was knowledgeable and worked quickly and efficiently.

They did a good job, but the price was much higher than usual.

Great customer service, showed up on time, and got the job done perfectly.
