Benjamin Franklin Plumbing

They were a very good company. The guy who came and worked for us was very polite and introduced himself. He did an efficient job. We are satisfied with his work.

I live in a 30+ year old house that had about 30+ years worth of crud built up in the sewer lines. Over the past year or so everything drained slower and slower until finally the dishwasher and washing machine were backing up into the kitchen sink. All told they spent about 6-8 hours clearing out the lines. I've owned this house for almost 6 years now and today was the first time I've ever been able to run an extra large load in the washing machine as well as running the dishwasher at the same time. I've never been able to run both appliances at the same time regardless of the size of the load.

He was excellent at explaining everything both before and after the repairs. Between the two visits he made himself available by phone whenever I needed to ask any questions, and was endlessly patient while I wrestled with whether to replace the hot water heater or repair it. He never pressured me either way but just answered my questions truthfully until I figured it out for myself. I had another good plumbing company when I happened to meet Keresa Richardson, the owner, and liked her so much I decided to try Benjamin Franklin. I'm really glad I did because Benjamin Franklin is by far the best plumbing company I have ever used. I have now switched over to them as my primary plumber, Brian specifically. As a side note I have another hot water heater that was not working properly under warranty with another company. Brian coached me as to what was wrong (short dip tube) so I knew what to tell the other company to get them to fix it. I paid Benjamin Franklin nothing extra for this additional valuable advice. This shows an attitude of caring about my plumbing in addition to high quality work. They are A+.

BF Plumbing made an appointment for the Saturday after I called between 1 and 3. When it got to be 3 and we hadn't seen them, we called. Apparently, their computer system had crashed so they didn't have any of the appointments for the day. They apologized profusely and had someone out within 90 minutes. The plumber was very polite & professional. He listened completely to what had been done previously (this was the third plumber to look at this) and then fixed the problem. He also discovered the overall problem which was a broken P-trap at the bottom of the drain. He wrote us a complete estimate and even recommended someone to do some other work that would be needed. A previous plumber had wanted $450 just to diagnose the problem, saying that it required an access line be run through the outside wall just to be able to see what was wrong.

They were very punctual. They also did a great job, however, I felt it was a little pricey. They were neat and clean. They also got everything really quickly and efficiently.
