Benjamin Franklin Plumbing

Tried to fix this myself Thursday night and it did not work. Contacted plumber that night to get on the list for next-day repair. Plumber was on-site at 10:00 am and did a very professional job. Answered all my questions and told me what I had done wrong in the self-repair. Very friendly and courteous service all around. Being a DIY type person, I hated to pay the price for the repair, but now I will not be worried about my repair flooding the house, either. It went extremely well. The plumber who helped me was Ray Mays and he is an extremely good plumber. He was so very helpful with everything. He went beyond the call of duty. He guaranteed the work he did for 20 years. He's just always there when I need him to be there.

The guy came out and took the time to fix it, it took about an hour and he was thorough. He did a good job. He explained everything to me before he did it.

He didn't actually install it right the first time. He was very pleasant and polite. I thought it was a little bit expensive, but I don't really know the prices. What happened was he forgot to link one of the pipes to the dishwasher so water was going all over. They were able to come out to fix it, but it took them two days. Part of that was I wasn't able to do it on one of the days, but I still feel like it took too long. I feel like they should have come right out since it was a problem with their installation.

Benjamin Franklin was an excellent company to do business with. The only exception was the price of the work, which I thought was on the high side considering it was an easy 20 minute job. Angie's List had a coupon for $59 off the service call. The job would have been around $300 without the coupon. Every job has a set price. The menu they have has 5 levels of service, ranging from $89 for a level 1 job to $449 for a level 5 job. My job was a level 3 job, which is listed at $249 plus a $59 service call charge. I wound up paying $202 total with the coupon and a little whining and ******** around. With all that said, Travis did an exceptional job, in 20 minutes. He was friendly, up front and very professional. He wore protective booties while in my house. The lady who took my call at Benjamin Franklin was very nice. I called at 11:30 AM and she had Travis out at 1:30 PM. Wow! That's fast service. So I guess I paid a little more than a smaller 1 man operation, which I did call a few and the earliest they could get out was the next day.. I needed the leak fixed pronto... Ben Franklin did just that.
