Robert did a great job! The Cartridge on my toilet went out and was causing my toilet to run constantly. while he was there he noticed a slab leak that was causing major damage to my walls and flooring. He knew exactly who to call and how to help me get going with the everything else i needed to do.

I bought the deal from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. There was a leak issue. They came out and gave me a estimate of 223.00. I was OK with this. They said they needed a part and said they'd come out Monday to do the job. That Monday nobody came or contacted me. I called the office myself and they gave me excuses saying the boss wasn't there and that they would have someone come out Tuesday. When the technician arrived on Tuesday it was a completely different person than who came out before. That technician not only didn't have the part they told me they needed to do the job, but didn't even know I needed the part. I showed him the estimate that was given showing that the part was needed and he said he had to go and talk to his supervisor and told me he would be back. He left and never returned. After a few days I got back in touch with them and the person on the phone told me they had to increase the cost of the estimate they had already gave me after I already spent weeks waiting on them to come and do what they said they would on the initial estimate. I asked for a supervisor and they gave me a customer supervisor named Donna. Donna said she was going to review the conversation and estimate given by the initial technician, and then take a day and get back to me to resolve the issue. She said she would call me back and I still haven't heard anything. Its unbelievable and disappointing and I STILL have a leak which is causing me to waste and lose water which is more important issue than the cost.

gas water heater is located in the attic. the gas water heater's 's pilot light was out. the technician came and relite the pilot light. after approx 5 hours no hot water from faucets, turned hot water control towards max. still no hot water. recalled benjamin franklin plumbing to come out again. person representing benjamin franklin wanted to recharge me to relite pilot light again.

I didn't think their prices were very fair. I wouldn't use them again.

the first thing the tech did after arriving is tell me I had a costly leak in my wall from my outside hose bib. the repair would cost $199 to fix. This is the very first thing he did, not even there 5 minutes. It only needed a washer, just I had said. It appears that he was looking to bump the bill. I paid angie's list $89 for $200 worth of work.Funny how he tried to take that $200 right from the beginning.

Plumber was very professional and helpful. He gave us several options with no high pressure. We would definitely use them again!

That was pretty confusing. I probably won't use them in the future. I think what happened was the $89 deal or whatever just got applied to the $89 overall cost, so I don't think it was any kind of savings for me. I had a faucet replaced and their cost is by the job and not by the time so it was $300 some odd dollars for a faucet replacement and they deducted like the $89 I already paid so I didn't think it was a deal. They did good work when they were here. It didn't come out as advertised. The workmanship was good. Real expensive. I don't think it's very professional if you set up a deal with Angie's List and then your workman doesn't really know evidently what they're doing about it and I thought I was going to get a particular service for that and maybe I read it all wrong and it was just, hey $89 for a service call but I have no idea. I am not using them again.

I was not very happy with that. The pricing turned out to be well above what I anticipated paying, and I ultimately had him only do what the big deal was. I then went and found another company to do the rest of the scope of work that I wanted. I still ended up spending about 4 times the amount I anticipated and that was troubling. The plumber spent all his time to upsell as opposed to dealing with the issue that he was supposed to deal with. They could make their big deal more clear. I felt like the service was less than stellar, and the pricing was way out of line.

No actual services were performed besides examining the issues.

Here is where I get a little annoyed. If you have a policy that you don't work on heaters past 8 years old, then why wouldn't your first question as a company be to ask the customer how old their heater is? If you inquire about the age and are informed that its past your policy, then inform me over the phone that your company has a policy of not repairing old units and that you can provide a quote for a new unit. I paid for a service call coupon through Angie's list thinking that a plumber would come out to my house and actually test something to assess what was wrong. What I got was a salesman in my home that could have given me the same information over the phone, i.e. pricing for a new unit, and not wasted my money on a service call. Let's talk price. The quote for a 6 year warranty, 50 gallon Rheem water heater was $1650 installed. I can purchase the same item from Home Deport for $378. So installation which may take an hour or two and profit amount to $1,272? They also quoted a Marathon Rheem lifetime non-metallic tank for $3,900 for a 40 gallon unit, Home Depot sells the item for $980.55. Installation takes the same amount of time for this unit as the cheaper model, but the margin increases to $2,919.45 over cost. 1. It feels like your stealing from customers buy not disclosing that you don't perform repairs on units of a certain age. 2. The profit margin on installing a water heater is extreme. The water input isn't soldered, it is a simple screw on connection. The electric involves turning the breaker off and attaching a wire with a wire nut. Not exactly rocket science so I don't understand why companies feel the need to price gouge customers who rely on you in their time of need.

I paid this company to find a leak in a line in my attic. It took him about 40 minutes to pinpoint the leak, and he was very nice and talkative, but then he was there for another hour or so writing up the estimate to fix the leak. I was so surprised that it cost over $500 to find a leak, not even to fix it. I have to find another company to fix the leak now. You would have to be rich in order to have this type of work done by Benjamin Franklin.

This company advertises that supplies are carried on the truck. That may be true, but the plumber said he needed to get parts for the repair. It turned out that this was a stalling tactic to allow time for him to make a referral for flood repair. Thus began the hard selling. I was about to agree when my boyfriend came by, investigate the situation and pulled me aside. The repair required a basic piece of pvc pipe and the "flood damage" was moisture which quickly evaporated once the leaking was stopped. I will never use this company again. Their advertising is very effective, but the service is an expensive scam.

I think what they quoted me was ridiculously priced. The Big Deal I purchased could only qualify for some of the work and not everything. I couldn't afford them but they were professional and polite.

It ended up costing me 697 more. That was there lowest price on that whole sheet.

Plumber was very helpful and service was very good. Plumber arrived 53 minutes late due to scheduling issues. Customer service did call and tell me he would be late. Plumber did tell me when he arrived that he was late and the company did own me a refund of $265 because he was late and he would let them know when he returned to the office. He did tell me to call Customer Service and remind them in case they missed it. I did call and Customer Service did tell me they were aware he was late and request was being processed. Now 13 days later and I have heard nothing from the company. Price was good, service was good when he got here and customer service kept me informed. I was use them again. Received check as promised this afternoon. Good company, honor their commitments. They deliver what they promise. I would highly recommend this company. Good company, great service. The provider was prompt and professional. However, once it was determined that we needed a new garbage disposal, the price options available for the service were relatively expensive.

Both technicians who came were on time and polite. They couldn't do the work I needed done, but they were honest and up front about it. They told me they couldn't charge me for something they did didn't do and told me to contact Angie's List for a refund. Angie's List was very prompt in handling that for me.

The plumber arrived on time. He was exceptionally professional and completed the install quickly. I had purchased additional items based on what I was advised to do when I purchased the disposal. He didn't use them/didn't need them and suggested I return the. It was a great experience overall.

i took advantage of the $99 coupon that was offered. Would not have used Benjamin Franklin without that coupon. They are extremely expensive compared to other plumbing companies.
