The water leak was repaired on a timely basis. The charges (cost) were excessive, arbitrary, and in error (even with their own pre-printed fees listed) Even after refunding about one-half of the charges, the charges were still excessive. Don't ever use Ben Franklin!

My wife called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing because both our toilets were backing up and they were listed as 24X7. I realize that there is a premium on after hours - but they wanted $299 just for the trip, and then the cost of any work they did.

The plumber had a nice personality and did a good job of cleaning up.

When we scheduled the work, I told them exactly what was wrong and which part to bring to fix the problem. He showed up and he was on time. He checked under the sink for maybe 3-5 min then proclaimed the tank was leaking and would need to be replaced (exactly what I told them on the phone). He then tells me he will need to get the part and schedule a time to come back and install the part. We would be charged a $95 call out fee for today's visit and another $95 fee when he came back out to install the part plus parts and labor (the estimate came in at about $600). I gave him the $95 then told him to get out of my home. My husband and I went to Home Depot, bought the part for about $120 plus plumbers tape and replaced the tank our selves in less than 20 minutes. My issues are: 1) Why didn't they bring the part I told them was needed; 2) How can they justify charging me 2 call out fees when I told them what to bring the first time; and 3) The ridiculous charge to replace a $120 part that took two people who have never done plumbing before in our lives a total of 20 min to replace was beyond criminal. I have no doubt that if he had just brought the part with him in the first place, he could have replaced the tank and been on his way home in less that 20 minutes. Total Rip-Off. We will never use BF Plumbing for anything.

They estimated the job to cost $4,000. They wanted to complete a lot more work than was necessary. They wanted to replace forty feet of pipe instead of finding. I was able to complete the job myself with parts I purchased for $250. Their solution wasn’t necessarily a bad solution, but it was not the method I wanted to take for the repair.

They were awesome! I appreciated that they gave me great recommendations for any job they couldn’t. They did a great job, they showed up on time.

The work was alright, but I did think the price was a little high.

The service went very well! They communicated well and called me ahead of time to let me know he was going to be early! They were very professional.

They're outrageously expensive to the point of being ridiculous. They had to install a cut-out, and the plumber put the cover back onto the cut-out at an incorrect depth; it's too high, so now the pipe is above the grass surface; people have tripped on it. I have to completely re-dig up the pipe to fix it. The clean out was fine, but the filling in part was botched. I would not use them again!

They’ve been fine to work with overall, except for their price, which is high. They’re prompt and once when I had an emergency in the middle of the night (a burst water pipe in my kitchen), they showed up within 30 minutes!

The work was performed in a professional manner and they took care of all the necessary code compliance issues.

They essentially helped us turn off the water line as it was broken. They installed a new shut off valve in our garage. The service was efficient, but pricy.

The work was extremely good! It was a difficult job and was located in very cramped quarters. They are extremely high quality of work, but they are very expensive in price. They make the price of the work clear up front so that there are no surprises when the work is completed.

Work was performed by Sean who was also the same person who provided the estimate. I like how Benjamin Franklin provided the quote for this service. There was no quessing and I had all my questions answered. The work involved removing a 75 gallon water heater down a full flight of stairs. Sean had some additional help, Justin as well and all went perfectly. The work required was adveertised to take a full 8 hours. They were done and cleaned up in 7 hours and I have good hot water. I highly recommend this plumber.

Robert showed up at 8:49am, so as promised very punctual, which I am big on. I hate waiting around all day and having to call the company every hour to find out where they are, happens all the time. Robert was very professional and helpful. He did a great job and you could tell he takes great pride in his profession. While the old tank was draining, he even took a look at a loose toilet in my house. He installed the new heater quickly with no problems. He even built a new stand for the heater, without charging for it, as the old one was poorly built by the previous homeowner. Overall, I was very happy with the experience, and will most definitely use Benjamin Franklin, and Robert Renfro, for all my future plumbing needs.

Good. We were between a "rock and a hard place" due to timing circumstances, so I couldn't shop competitve prices.

I liked the (2) year warranty that came with the work. They are professional and competent.

Overall, excellent experience. Problem was fixed so quickly I wish I had called sooner-would use them again!

Due to a break in the incoming water line (front yard flooded), we had Benjamin Franklin Plumbing replace the entire old and degraded line (our choice, BF would have simply repaired the break if that's all we had wanted). Since the sewer lines were also old and had been causing problems, we decided to have them replaced at the same time. This was a large and expensive job and took most of a week. BF did a professional job with minimal interruption to our water service. Their crew worked very hard and continuously until the job was done. Their representative (Travis) was quite knowledgeable, explained everything clearly, patiently answered our questions, and came by frequently to check on the crew's progress. They honored special requests such as using a 3-inch line for the kitchen and clothes washer drains rather than the traditional 2-inch lines. They did a good job of smoothing the many required trenches in the front yard when they finished. If you have a sprinkler system, have them thoroughly test it when they are finished. Some of our sprinkler control solenoid valves stopped working after they were done, but they promptly sent someone back to troubleshoot and fix them after I informed them of the problem. A side recommendation: While the trenches are open, measure and draw a map for the future of the depths and positions of the lines, joints, and clean-outs relative to your house.

My tech was prompt and professional. The office called and advised me when he was to arrive. The kitchen faucet water was scalding hot which he agreed and proceeded to check the water heater. The water heater was at the highest level and the faucets in the showers were in the child safety mode which he corrected. He had advised me of the age of my heater and I knew it was time for a change. He quoted the charge for a new heater and I made an appt to have a new one installed.

Excellent service. Technician was slightly late (by a few minutes) and honored the price reduction for every minute late. I would definitely use them again.
