1). Technician came as scheduled but could not provide the service since he did not have the camera system on his truck. I should point out that this should have been known since I bought a coupon for Sewer and CAMERA INSPECTION from Angie's List the day before. 2). This company is known for it's punctuality and will credit the homeowner if it is late. However they do not say anything about coming early. When I rescheduled the service so the technician could come back with the camera I rescheduled for 9:00 am to 11:00 am so my wife could get ready for work. At 8:00 am they called to say they were on there way, needless to say we reminded them of the agreed upon time and they did subsequently arrive at 9:00 am. 3). The service was done satisfactorily although I would have liked the technician to have put on boot covers while working inside the house like my AC/Heating company does. 4). Then the technician wrote out an invoice for $79.00 and I paid him by check. Afterwards I realized that I had bought a coupon from Angie's List for this service for $79.00 so the technician should not have charged me. I had to contact the help desk at Angie's List to contact Benjamin Franklin to get a credit for the $79.00. I then had to contact Benjamin Franklin directly to ensure that I got the credit. I will have second thoughts before I purchase another offer through Angie's List.

Went very well. No problems. Will use again if needed.

I showed them a couple of different things that I had in mind to do and one of them they wanted $800 for and one of them about $400. I didn't want to spend anymore money with them. It think that was pretty high for getting your gasket changed. They were on time.

Stay away unless you have PLENTY of time. I was given a three hour window for service, 9-12 on a Wednesday. Was called at 11:15 and told the plumber was about 45 minutes out for a hose bib repair and a "whole house inspection". The dispatcher did not appreciate that I was unhappy at turning a 15 minute job into a four hour time commitment and cancelled the service. Use a plumber with more customer friendly scheduling practices-don't waste your valuable time...

I already did this once. Blue was professional and polite. Explained problem and necessary things that needed to be done.

They came out and explained what services need to be done. He gave me two explanations of what can be done. He did the video camera and cleaned out the trap. They were great and I am planning to use them in the future. I have used them before price is competitive. They know what they are doing. They were here an hour early.

Without the information, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing was about to charge me $199 for approximately 10 minutes of work plus a call out. When pointed out, he charged me $99, I have to say the $99 for the amount of work even with the call out seemed excessive. It was expensive but not outrageous. The gas does not appear to look and the stove works.

Provider was able to schedule the service for only two days after the coupon was purchased and the process was very easy. They contacted me to let me know the plumber was on his way, and called me later that day to check to see that I was satisfied. The plumber (Jeff L.) was prompt, courteous, profession, very capable, and did the work remarkably quickly. While he was there we discussed some other repairs that needed to be done as well as some approximate prices for each. Though I did not elect to have the work done at that time, I would certainly consider using this provider for that work in the future. All in all I couldn't be happier with the experience and would highly recommend this vendor.

This was a Big Deal that included replacement of the hose bib, hot water tank and whole house plumbing inspection. My plumber was on-time and very professional. He replaced the hose bib in no time. He also spent a lot of time trying to identify why my hot water pressure was low. He finally concluded that the problem was somewhere in the plumbing lines not in the tank. The cost for detecting the problem was $503 for the first hour and then $125 for each hour thereafter. Luckily, I opted not to have the detection work done by Benjamin Franklin as another Big Deal provider found the problem with the hot water tank and fixed it in about an hour for approximately $55.

They did a fine job and they were professional but they were extremely expensive and I won't use them again. He went up on the roof to look at the clean out for my water system which is really odd. I just really didn't understand that but they were on time, they finished the work and the work was good but it was terribly expensive. In the book it said that they were rated "B" because of cost instead of an "A" and I thought, "Well, may be if I got somebody that I knew I could go back to if the work wasn't good that that would be a good thing." but not at that price. They were really exorbitantly expensive! I ended up paying $650 for a big deal that cost $99. It was as if the $99 didn't even exist. They had it itemized down of what they charged and they said they did this and did that and did something else. Like I said he got up on the roof. I'm like, "What's up with that?" and he explained to me what he was doing up there but to me it didn't make any sense because I know that there is no drain up there. He felt like he explained it the way I should be able to understand it and I just didn't but by that time the work was done, what was I going to do? It was a life lesson. May be somebody else will be able to avoid it in the future.

Andrew came and in less than 3 minutes said they do not do the job (Install Bosch tankless water heater). He recommended a tankless water heater model called Eternal. It was more of a sales call for Eternal. I took half day off to listen to the sales pitch which they could have told over the phone that they do not install Bosch tankless water heater when I called them to schedule. Anyway consumers be aware that Benjamin Franklin does not install Bosch Tankless water heater.

When the plumber came out, he ended up not doing the work. He warned me that if the faucet was soldered instead of screwed on, he would have to break some bricks to get access to the pipe and replace it, and he was not able to tell because of the brick exterior of the home. I didn’t want to risk that so he advised that I contact Angie’s List for a refund. They showed up on time, and were very friendly. The gentleman who came out tried to fix the problem for me without replacing the faucet but wasn’t able to access it. I do wish that they would have mentioned a qualifier that brick-exterior homes may not be able to get the work done for the price advertised. Other than that, we didn’t have any problems. They were able to schedule the service on a Saturday to help me out, but they did insist that I had to be there despite it being exterior work, and I didn’t really understand why.

The response was faster than I ever expected. Just recovering from surgery I was not looking forward to the long wait.Instead I was surprised by a call within 30minutes after I bought the package from Angie's List. To my extreme pleasure, she quickly made an appointment for the very next day. The plumber showed up at the exact time as promised.He quickly gave me an estimate, with Angie's discount,that was less expensive than I had imagined. Just as quickly he fixed the leaks in both bathrooms and I have been pleased ever since. This experience has convince me to do some further work with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing.

It was a perfect visit. He did what he said he was going to do. He gave me a price for additional work, but it wasn't worth the cost. He was on time.

I bought The Big Deal for a $79 outdoor faucet replacement valued at $328. The fine print stated that frost free faucet will have additional cost, which I am happy to pay until I found out the actual cost... The day after purchase I was contacted by Benjamin Franklin Plumbing to schedule an appointment. I called to schedule for the afternoon the same day. I told the operator that I have the Big Deal coupon for faucet replacement. Later they called and said someone can be at the house in the morning because of a cancellation. The plumber showed up at the house on time and I showed him the faucet that needs replacing. After the inspection, he concluded that he needs to get into the wall to replace the pipe connecting to the faucet because the existing frost free faucet is too old. He'll either have to break the outside brick wall or cut an opening on the inside dry wall. At this point, the cost of the replacement was quoted at $427 with wall access (not including wall repair). With the $79 Big Deal coupon, he said he'll take off $99 the $427 service price. So I paid $79 to get $99 off the service price. It will end up costing $ 328 (the exact value of the Big Deal) plus the $ 79 to purchase the coupon for a total of $ 407 to replace the faucet. I wasn't going to waste the $79 coupon. So the work was performed by cutting into the inside wall. I am not complaining about the work performed. I just find the Big Deal extremely misleading. The state value of the Big Deal and the 76% off is a joke. If I am getting only $20 off the service price, I would have called a few other places. I can't see how the work will cost $755 ($328 Big Deal value + $427 quoted) to perform. I wasn't expecting to pay only $79 for the service. But, I wasn't expecting to pay almost the full service price for something that is marketed as a Big Deal! I called Benjamin Franklin to complain. The predictable answer is that the Big Deal description should have been more clear. Lesson learned...

He showed up on time and was very pleasant and easy to work with.

It was excellent and I didn't pay any additional fees other than the value of the big deal.

It worked out find. The sink drains fine now.

Just like the doctor ordered. Ordered the $79.00 Big Deal to replace an outside faucet yesterday, 08/13/13. They called today, 08/14/13 to schedule. Scheduled for this afternoon, 1:00 to 3:00, said they'd call prior to arriving. Jeff got here about 2:30 and was finished by 3:00. Couldn't have gone better. Prompt, courteous and professional. Wish all contractors worked like this.

It was just simple drain clean that I had done in the past, and they were asking for way too much money. They did show up when they said they would, but it was just too pricey. We didn't end up using them for the job.

On time good work price seemed high.

Before allowing them to tunnel under my house I got another estimate for repairing the drain. The second company identified the same issue and gave me an estimate of $2500, no extras added on. The second company, licensed and bonded, completed the work the next day and my shower now works very well. I can not think of a reasonable explanation for the large difference in the bids.

He arrived on time for the appointment. When he got to the hose area, he noticed that I have a saudered faucet and the coupon was only for threaded. He explained the differences and was very professional throughout. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

It went well. It took less than 5 minutes to replace it. I had issue when I called to schedule the service even though I told the operator that I bought the coupon from Angieslist to replace my outside faucet already. She was still insisted it will cost me $59 more for someone to come out there. Then after several questions about the why she finally told be she will waive it for me which I totally disagreed at the first place. So BE AWARE for the extra cost they are trying to get out of you.

He wanted to charge me $200 more than the deal stated. I did not want to pay the difference.
