It went really well. They got there when they said that they would be there. Unfortunately, I wasn't there because I was out of town but my father-in-law was there with them at the house. It was kind of like they were thorough and they got the job done. It probably took longer than what my father-in-law was expecting but other than that, everything was done well.

The leaky hose bib was replaced immediately following our discussion of the problem.

I purchased two Angie's List outdoor faucet replacement deals from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for $79 each. The deal said that there would be an extra charge for frost free faucets, but I thought it would be a fairly nominal amount extra. The $79 deal was supposed to be for $325 worth of service. When the Benjamin Franklin Plumber came to our home, he said the deal did not cover frost free faucets at all. He then estimated the cost for replacing our outdoor faucets at $388 EACH! and he said that we would have to hire another contractor to remove and replace bricks since he said the pipes were soldered in. I'm not sure how he made that determination since he didn't remove anything to see. I asked two other plumbing companies who are listed on Angies List to give an estimate for the same work. We chose Classic Plumbing Ltd. They replaced the faucets, which by the way, were NOT soldered, for a total cost of $290 for BOTH faucets, NOT EACH! Needless to say, we will be using Classic Plumbing in the future for our plumbing needs.

Even though their price was a bit expensive, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing did a good job. They were good, but I didn't like their pricing structure. They had this weird way of pricing for doing different things. But I like them. They explained to me and we chatted about things. I learned a lot, at that point. The way they price things is my only negative thing I have to say about them. They were professional, they did a good job and seemed efficient. They were communicative.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it turned out fine. The spigot on the outside of my house did not qualify for the Big Deal special, I had a frost-free spigot. So instead of of it being the price of the special it was about $150 more. I am not complaining. I needed the spigot replaced and it was what the plumber said it was. I checked the small print on the Big Deal and it said it did not cover frost-free spigots so I did not feel cheated. It just cost more than I expected, but that is okay. What was really impressive is that someone called within 30 minutes after I bought the Big Deal special and someone came the same day. This blew me away; I figured it would be at least a week or 10 days before someone came out. I taped their business card to my desk in case I ever have plumbing problems. I was real happy with the service, even though I did not get the special price. It was done timely and the guy who did the job was real good and friendly. Overall it was a positive experience.

He was very professional and did a great job.

They were fine, no problem. Because of the way the pipes were structured in my house, they could not get the equipment in the pipe without going on the roof.

It was on the weekend and an emergency plumbing situation. The guy that came out was really nice and did a good job.

The service went well. It took a while to clean the line, but they got it done. The drain works great now, and they left the place. clean.

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing was fine. It's a little high priced. I spent an additional $250. I will probably not use them again because of the price.

The plumber replaced front and back faucets with new frost protected faucets. The faucets look great and function properly. The old faucets screwed out of the wall making it a clean and easy repair. We had tried to replace the faucets several years ago with a different well known company. This guy cut into the bedroom wall then decided he would just change the washers instead. I guess he did not know the faucets would just screw out of the wall. We still have a hole in the bedroom wall. He charged almost as much to change the washers and leave me with a mess as we paid BF to do it right. If you want it done right, call Benjamin Franklin Plumbing!

The big deal I purchased was $79 for Outdoor Hose Faucet Replacement and Water Heater/Complete Home Plumbing Inspection.Initial contact was prompt and very accommodating,they schedule a time that met my schedule.Sean did show up at the time specified and checked my outdoor faucets.He then proceeded to quote me an additional $298 to change the faucets because they where not the threaded type,but rather needed soldering. I did not read this restriction in the offer,but accepted his word,and cancelled the job.Though later,after personal inspection I confirmed that faucets are the threaded type.It also seemed as if he was in a hurry to leave, as there was no attempt to do any type of inspection.

The angies list deal was for $79. It says an additional chg of $50 for Frost Free which mine was. However for whatever reason I was charged an additional $150. Quite a bunch of verbal mumbo jumbo explanation. This deal was worth $249 for angies list members.......so in the end I saved $20. I paid for but did NOT NEED the hot water heater inspection which in turn saved some hourly time for the tech. Somehow I feel that this should have been a wash...the $50 I could deal with. I really feel like I was taken advantage of and the coupon/deal was of little or no value.

Easy to schedule. Did a great job replacing the outdoor hose faucet. Purchase the deal now and very, very happy with the cost savings!

Technician was nice, clean and professional. But be very careful, they price by the task. I had one task that took < 10 mins and they charged me about 129$. Ridiculous.

The plumber was punctual, professional and friendly. The job was neatly done. My only disapointment was with the Angie's List Big Deal. I was supposed to get the faucet replaced for $79.00, (plus extra for a freeze protected faucet, which I knew about) plus a free inspection of my water heater and all my plumbing ( a $300 something value). The final cost of $288 was the same cost as if I had just called them to come out and do the job. I didn't get the inspection of the pipes or the water heater, which is partially my fault since while the plumber was working the school nurse called to tell me my daughter was sick. As soon as the plumber finished I left to pick her up from school. I don't know if I can call Ben Franklin to reschedule the inspection, at no cost since that was part of the deal, but I would be surprised if they agreed to it. Over all I am a little disappointed in my first Big Deal with Angie's list.

The technician arrived, looked at the faucet, determined it to be a frost free model, informed me that it was not covered by the deal, wrote up an estimate for the repair. I have since had them come back and paid for the repair.

Benjamin Franklin plumber (Adam Stockton) came out promptly and provided replacement options. He returned as scheduled and performed the work. He made sure I understood the warranty and the charges. I was very satisfied when he was done. Unfortunately, during the installation the condensation drain pipe from the air conditioner in the same closet space had to be removed and replaced. When it was replaced the joints were not sealed. This led to a slow leak in the closet space. This leak was not discovered until our family returned from a vacation. During the time we were gone the thermostat was set high. The leak combined with the higher temperature caused mold and a bad smell. We arrived home late at night and immediately noticed the smell and traced it to the closet. I called Benjamin Franklin even though it was late on a weekend night and explained that we could not run our air conditioner due to the leak. A plumber (Chris Reeves) was dispatched that night. Chris arrived and confirmed the air conditioner leak problem was caused during the installation of the water heater and was covered by warranty. Discovering he did not have all of the plumbing supplies he needed to fix the problem he requested the assistance of another BF plumber. The second plumber arrived and together they repaired the leak and we were able to use the air conditioner. This was fortunate since the temperature, even at close to midnight when they finished the work, was very high. I wish the mold and smell could have been corrected as quickly. We battled those problems for a full month at additional cost and aggravation. So, I wish I could give BF an unqualified "A", but the extent of the problems caused by the leaking pipe has colored my rating. I would give a B+ for the installation and an A for the follow-up warranty work. I was quite impressed with both, though, and would recommend BF. Knowing they stand behind their warranty carries a great deal of weight.

The good: Provider called me to schedule an appointment very soon after I bought the deal. The bad: That was the only good thing I can say about the process. First: The tech that came to my house, looked at our outside hose connector and said, " Oh, that is not covered under our plan". I showed him the Angies List page with the promotion and he said, I do not care about that and i do not work for them. I said can I talk to your manager with whom he said he was on the phone at the time. He curtly refused and walked away. Then: I called the company to complain about this and they said they would send another tech right away and to their credit, they did. All that was done was the replacement of the outdoor hose faucet. They did not do any of the other things as part of that deal. To be fair to them, I did not insist on those either since I was really tired of spending the whole afternoon with them and it was certainly not a pleasant experience Bottom line: I should have checked that they had a B rating even before my purchase of this big deal and been more careful about it. Maybe they really regretted selling the deal cheap but they did not do a good job of the whole thing. I am really disappointed in myself (for not checking it out more thoroughly) and with them for the kind of service they provided me.

My husband met with the plumber to get a leak fixed. The plumber stated the leak was going to be a large sum so we declined to have the work done. We don't feel we received our money's worth since the plumber wasn't on-site for very long.

I wanted a gas line connected after we moved our grill. They said they wouldnt do it, they were going to charge extra. So they ended up fixing a sink.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and I think it went well. I was surprised about their pricing, because they almost have set prices for every service. It seemed too black and white, and I didn't feel comfortable asking them if they could do something else. The job that they did was okay, but I wouldn't call them back. We paid extra for the fitting. If money was no issue, their service is excellent. They do what they say they are going to do, and they are punctual. I had no concerns about the plumber that they sent out, but I just thought they were expensive. I was satisfied with the work they did.

The plumber that came out himself was good. However, felt that for the amount of the deal $100 for 200 dollars worth of work could of had another plumber do it for a little cheaper.
