I had to have my outside gas pipes repaired. First they had to test the pipes and that was a bit of money. The repair was the least expensive part. THey were on time, did the job and that is what is important. I do think it was a little pricey but sometimes you have to go with it

I was not able to be home for repair but their plumber explained it all to me over the phone. He did try to sell us a water heater that we didn't need left 3 pricing options for us.

They were fine. I felt like they were wanting me to do more than I needed, but overall, it was all okay.

Plumber arrived promptly after very good communication with the business. I was a little concerned when reviewing the list and going over the work to be done because there was a recommendation for a rebuild on all four main items which was quite expensive. However, the plumber was very open to discussing his reasons and helping me work through what needed to be done. In the end he replaced one toilet with a new one; rebuilt shower connections. The work was very meticulous, and after several weeks, both seem to work very well, and are without any issues. We held on the sinks, but when we decide to replace them or have them restored, I would certainly call this company.

I purchased a Deal through Angie's list for $100 for $200 worth of work. Confident since they were listed as a 'A' provider. However, when I contacted them to install a faucet, they would not provide any dollar estimate over the phone, or estimate of how long the work would take. In reading some of the other reviews, I felt that their prices were quite high. I called 2 other plumbers listed on Angie's and they were more than happy to give me estimates over the phone. So, I cancelled my appointment and rescheduled with one of the other plumbers. Did not want to take time off of work to possibly get a high estimate, and then not be able to re-schedule another on short notice. I know estimates are just that, estimates and they can fluctuate, but not willing to give any idea up front did not give me a good feeling.

The first thing I want to address is the customer service provided by this company. The first serviceman that came was rather rude and gruff. There was an underlying problem with the toilet that he failed to tell me, which would have been disastrous if it broke. When I called the office, they went out of their way to make sure someone came back and not only did the job correctly, but explained what the root of the problem was and what steps I would have to take to get it fixed the right way. Kim, who I dealt with over the phone multiple times, was apologetic and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. The second repairman sent out was very polite , courteous and professional. He wrote a detailed recap of what was needed, how much it would cost and what was involved. I would certainly recommend this company because ,on the whole, they were honest and more than willing to make up for any mistakes that were made.

Tony was personable and professional and the $1430 hot water heater was a nice bonus added to the toilet job. He wore shoe coverings, put down protection for my wood floors and cleaned up spotlessly before he left. I gave an honest A for all services pertaining to this job. . .so I need to explain why I would not use them again. We had drips on plumbing behind a bathtub and the moisture was causing odor and mildew in a bedroom closet adjoining that bath. My husband called the company in advance of the toilet tune-up, told of the problem and asked if they could take a look and give us an estimate while they were here. After spending some time looking at it, Tony gave up and said he didn't know what the problem was. I had a follow-up call from B.Franklin and I later made a call to the company regarding my disappointment with a non-aggressive approach to evaluating our issue. It seemed to me that it had the potential to be a big plumbing job but everyone I talked to at the Ben Franklin company seemed indifferent. We had another plumbing company come and solve the issue.

Install a kitchen faucet. And change really old pieces. It was perfectly done.

Work completed without any problems.

The service man called to let me know he was coming and then arrived on time. He was very professional and got the job done quickly. I was very pleased.

Plumber arrived on time. Performed the service as listed in the deal. Replaced the flapper. No issues. Good experience overall.

I purchased the five point toilet inspection and was very pleased with the service. Scheduling was easy and efficient, and they stayed in contact before and after the plumber's arrival. He was clean cut, courteous, and ccompetent. I would not hesitate to use them in the future, though their regular rates are a bit higher than most.

The technician who did the work, John, was terrific. He first attempted to unplug the line using the power rotary tool. He worked on it one day for an hour and a half, came back the next day and tried for another hour but could not get the tool to go through. He used a camera to verify and locate the plug which was approximately in the middle of our house under the slab foundation. John said we could jackhammer through the slab to the plug or dig a tunnel under the foundation. He recommended and we agreed to go the tunnel route even though it would probably be more expensive. We didn't want to jackhammer a hole in the foundation right in the middle of our family room. They had a crew of 3 men dig the tunnel. They worked on their hands and knees, hauling the dirt out of the tunnel with buckets. It required about a day and a half. When they got access to the plugged section of the line, it turned out that it was plugged for about 10'. John showed the section to me. It was plugged completely with grease set up almost as hard as concrete. My wife and I have never put grease down the kitchen sink and concluded that the previous owner must have done something like deep fry a turkey in Crisco and put it all down the disposal. John made sure he cut out all the line that had any obstruction and put in new pipe, then verified that it was working properly. The same crew that had dug the tunnel came back and filled it back in. They were meticulous in backfilling the tunnel to insure good compaction. They had to take the dirt back into the tunnel using buckets and used lots of water to be sure that it settled in properly. Outside the foundation, they carefully replaced the grass that they had to dig up. Overall, the whole project was done first class and in a timely manner. The cost seemed high for the work that was done. I did not get competitive bids for the line replacement. Once John determined that the line could not be unplugged using the rotary tool and was going to have to be replaced, we were in hurry to get the work done because our kitchen was out of commission and Benjamin Franklin could get to it immediately.

We recently contacted Benjamin Franklin to help with connecting an existing gas line to our warehouse. Larry was sent out to review our requirements and perform a pressure test to check for leaks. Despite the weather conditions, he readily went up on our roof and checked everything out, locating three leaks. The repairs were made quickly and once the gas company came out to turn on the gas service, Larry even came out on a Saturday afternoon to check the system and make sure everything was working properly. He was very professional throughout the whole process and always kept us informed. We couldn't be happier with the service we received or say enough good things about Larry and his customer service. Top notch!

Cleared a stopped sink in our new house and then put a camera down the drain to see if there were in big issues. Luckily, no issues so our sink is running clear!

I purchased the Big Deal for a toilet tune up including replacing the seal. Arthur arrived on time but was unable to fix the leaky seal because he did not have the part on his truck. Apparently I have a weird toilet. Arthur did check Elliott's Hardware, where I purchased the toilet, and another vendor but was unable to find the part. I went on line and in a couple of minutes found what was needed. I called Arthur and he said to call the office to schedule another visit as soon as I received the seal in the mail. I did just that, and Arthur came out again and fixed the toilet. BFP did honor the Big Deal, even though they had to come out twice. Arthur was very personable and a great representative of the company. Also, the office staff were very pleasant when I called to schedule the appointments.

I had a leak in the pipe of my hose bib faucet. It happened on a late Sunday afternoon. I contacted Benjamin Franklin and they came out and repaired the faucet on a very cold dark night in December. I was not charged because they had done some work on that faucet back in May. It was under warranty for three months but they honored the warranty even though it was more than 3 months. I was so very thankful. The person who fixed the problem was very pleasant and had a good attitude considering the conditions he was working in. I would definitely recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumming!!

repairs were effective but overpriced I bought $200 angies list deal and was hoping to get 3 small repairs done including: - sink repaired in master bath - leak repaired in middle bathroom - running toilet repaired As it turned out the deal only partially covered the 1st repair (sink repaired in master bath) they overcharged for the repair. I've had similar work done for about $100 less and have seen stoppers rebuilt in less than 10 mins. by other plumbers as I looked on I was quoted an additional $270 to rebuild the middle bathroom faucet and $607 to repair the toilet even after I told him the parts in the toilet were all new and that they just needed adjustments

The plumber, Pablo, arrived on time and went right to work on the bathroom sink. He finished unplugging the sink very quickly. I then had him work on the leaking shower. I previously had had a not-so-handy handyman install the shower head and hand spray and he did not install the head correctly and also used the wrong length pipe from the wall. Pablo was able to correct the problems and the leaks. I'm glad I bought "Deal" for $99, as the cost of a regular plumbing call for these two items would have run much more. I will continue trying to use these special deals. I found with plumbing companies that use published lists of costs that the amount runs pretty high on average.

They didn't care about the customers

I wanted to have a faucet installed, and purchased the $89 for $200 Big Deal plumbing. I sent an email to the provider in advance to make sure this $200 deal would cover the cost of the faucet installation. I did not receive a response to my email, and when the provider arrived, the quoted cost to install the faucet was $315. The plumber who arrived was polite and professional, but the cost quoted was nearly 3 times more than the cost of a recent faucet installation by another provider, way too high

I initially had this vendor over on an Angie's deal to inspect a toilet for $29. Unfortunately, the service performed under that inspection deal did not cover my problem, so I had to have them back out to fix the actual problem. Fortunately I had a coupon for the second visit that the service rep had given my on the initial visit. So, the work that would have cost over $100 was only $54. Plumbing is not cheap; some are better deals than others. I'm just glad I had the coupon. I would hire this vendor again.

Overall, it just felt too expensive.
