Description of Work: Because of our home's shifting foundation, especially after it had suffered a flood during the June rains, a bedroom door no longer fit, and in trying to open it, we had managed to separate parts of it. Wayne Bartlett arrived on time, worked with obvious thoroughness and care, and fixed the door so that it opens and shuts as it did when new! And all this in record time! He was professional and knowledgeable, and I will call him again any time we need woodworking or other repairs done!

+ 0 moreAWESOME! Mr. Bartlett gave me an estimate range that was a little higher than another estimate I received but I felt like Mr. Bartlett knew what he was doing. Once he had the attic area exposed it turned out to be less of a job than he had estimated and charged me a good bit less than the original estimate. The amazing thing is that he had every right to charge me something in the range he gave me but he was honest in dealing with me and gave me a much better deal. The communication and quality of work was excellent. I would highly recommend Mr. Bartlett. If anything comes up home care related, he will be the one I call to do the work.
Description of Work: We had a sever wind storm come through Parker and dislodged my chimney to the point it almost feel off the house. I contacted Mr. Bartlett for an estimate and he responded promptly with a visit to the house to inspect the damage. Since there was no way to get into the part of the attic to see how the chimney was anchored to the house he gave me a range for the estimate. His estimate was reasonable and I asked him to preform the work. There was another storm headed our way so he took the time to brace the chimney and secure the area around it to prevent it from falling off the roof and prevent any rain damage. Not something he was required to do but something he offer to do.

Description of Work: 4/21/2011 - 8/22/2011 Barlett Home Care and Repair, put a new roof, repaired roofs, built deck and gazebo. Repaired fences, drywall work, installed doors, tile work, and replaced bathroom counters.

+ -1 moreThis is an old house (built in 1958) that hasn't had much done to it. I am trying to make it into a "home" now. Mr. Bartlett has over 30 years experience in construction and remodeling. I had some other work going on at the same time by different contractors (excavation of concrete sidewalks and concrete slab, dirt work). Mr. Bartlett stood out as he was punctual, communicated well, does first class work and takes pride in his workmanship. We had lots of rain during the time he was working. The other contractor was a no show on many days and when they did show, it was late. Mr. Bartlett always showed and arrived when he said he would. This was refreshing to me. I was nervous at first because I needed a lot of work done but did not know who to contact. On a whim, I decided to contact Mr. Bartlett from an advertisement I found in a restaurant. I liked him but as they say, the proof is in the pudding. Now that the job is complete, I am very pleased with his work and intend to use him again and again as my budget allows. I believe his prices are very reasonable for the amount of work done. A portion of the costs above also included the cost of miscellaneous materials, attic insulation, attic flooring, stairs, etc., that he had to pick up. He is the old fashioned skilled worker that everyone is hoping to have.
Description of Work: Installed 2 exterior doors, plus 2 security storm doors, one interior door plus screen door, installed new attic drop down extra wide, heavy-duty staircase, insulated attic above garage, put floor in attic over garage, installed dryer vent, repaired 3 closet folding doors, installed special hooks and springs so I could pull the attic access door down without knocking myself out (I am short and ceiling is high), insulated double garage door, sealed the floor underneath door, making a tight closure, plus several other miscellaneous items that just needed fixing.
