We purchased a Solar system with a SolarEdge inverter in 2017 and 3 Tesla Batteries. Soon afterwards, we received a letter from Axium that they were no longer servicing residential clients, and referred us to another company. They made it seem like that company would be handing all of our service needs. Well, that company is not able to provide any help for us now that we have a problem with our inverter. Axium basically took the money and ran 5 years ago. Evidently, Solar Edge is very difficult to deal with, and the other company just can't/won't deal with them to service all of Axium's clients. Axium really didn't care. They got their money and moved on down the road. If you are a business thinking of doing business with Axium, think twice.

I had no problems with it. They came and worked pretty efficiently. They took them off, stacked all of the panels up in a particular order so they could be put back in the same place. They organized all of the racks on which the panels are mounted, which included the microinverter's that were marked and stored. I thought they did a pretty good job. It took them half a day to remove them.
Description of Work: They took my solar panel system off so that I could replace my roof.

It took a larger crew and it took more time. They put it back on and got everything working. They noted that three of the micro-inverters were I not functioning properly. I had noted this beforehand but they did not get the replacement in from the manufacturers until after the system was put back together. They sent a guy out and he replaced the three units at no additional cost. They were still under warranty. The manufacturer had some problems with this particular model. They had to work from what the guys who had originally taken the panels off had arranged. They did the job, had a map of where everything went and it worked the first time when they fired it up. I had no problem with them. They came when they said they would, did the job and cleaned up, generally. They left the place in good order. They were very careful because the roof was new and it was hot in the summer in July in Texas. They took my hose on the roof and ran cold water down over while they worked so that their feet and so on did not move the new shingle around on the tar. They took care to do that. When the roofing company came back to check they looked and there were no marks or anything. They worked over two days, not a full two days, but about a day and a half. I had gotten a quote from a national company and they were within $40 of each other. It worked the first time. They did everything right.
Description of Work: I use Axium Solar to service my solar panels. They put solar panels back on after they had been taken off. They had to put the mounting system back on first and then connect the wires to the electrical system. Then they can put the panels on.

I contacted Axium March 15th via email to get an estimate on a 10.8 kW system *similar to what I'd had other companies quote me for. Andrew responded back pretty quickly and let me know he was out of town until Monday the 16th. Which was no biggie. On March 19th he sent me over some pictures of structures they'd built and we briefly discussed what I was wanting. He was suppose to be sending me an estimate soon ;-). I waited patiently and finally ended up having to call Mr. Whitehead to ask him where the estimate was. On March 27th I finally got an estimate for a 9.8kW system for $38,827.60- which was not the right size and it cost more then the estimates for the 10.8kW systems I'd had quoted from a few other companies. Needless to say I didn't go with Axium, but I found my dealing with them not so professional in the sales end of it. Who knows :-( but hopefully it is improved. * Thanks Andrew for offering an explanation and I understand how life can be crazy and chaotic at time. Just figured I'd make you aware of my experience so you would try to do better with other customers. For being professional and letting me know you had things going on, I will adjust my review for your professionalism of taking it as constructive criticism and taking time to respond. Best wishes and hope life has gotten a little less hectic for you!

Response from Axium Solar Inc
Dear (removed member name), I apologize for the poor follow-up you received (or did not receive) during our solar consultation. Due to personal reasons I failed to deliver on promised materials. This should not be a reflection on the quality work Axium Solar has delivered to its clients over the past 7 years, but rather an instance wherein I was personally not up to the challenge. The reason our quote was significantly more than the numbers discussed on the phone is raw material cost of building a free standing solar canopy structure vs. a traditional ground mounted solar array . I'm sorry I did not adequately explain that a structure 9 - 10 feet above grade is not the same as a straight forward ground mounted array, and the costs associated with its construction are higher. Thank you for the feedback, and we will strive to do better in the future. Regards, Andrew Whitehead

I leased a Nissan Leaf and needed to get a 240 volt plug in my garage to speed up charging. I decided to check out having solar panels installed to go along with my new electric car. The company I work for has a discount worked out with Sunpower Solar panels. I got bids from 2 Sunpower dealers Axium Solar and Energyshop and a non-Sunpower dealer Gleanpower from Denton. The Sunpower panels are great but with my discount still too expensive. I got bids for 20 panel systems from all 3 dealers. All three did a great job giving me options and advice. I decided to go with Axium Solar with my salesman Andrew Whitehead. The process is not quick but Andrew kept me informed along the way. Axium got drawings and specs to apply for HOA approval then for building permits. It took about a month or so to get it all done. The Axium installers were great. They started on Tuesday and the system was up and running on Friday. This included Thursday off waiting for inspectors. They also installed a plug for my Nissan Leaf so now I can charge faster. I can go to the SolarEdge web site at home or on my phone app to see how my panels are producing. I am very happy with my system and have produced $180 of electricity as of today. It is a slow payback but the panels are warranted for 25 years.
Description of Work: Axium Solar installed a 5k solar system in my home. This included 20 panels with SolarEdge optimizers and a SolarEdge inverter. This was hardwired to my cable router and includes a website to monitor production at the panel level. I know total energy produced and can see how much each panel is producing. My electrical panel was full so Axium also installed a sub-panel to plug in solar panels to grid and for future expansion. They also installed a 240 volt plug in my garage for my Nissan Leaf.

I have been working with several contractors to determine my best option for solar panel installation. As of yet I have not contracted to have any installed. But I have been working with Andrew at this company and feel that I should let everyone know what I think compared to other companies. When I first contacted them via email, it was like a cold sales call in that I didn't know who they were and they didn't know me. However Andrew called a few days later and asked a few questions about my house and promised a quote. He sent a ballpark estimate with product details like I asked and asked if he could come out and take some measurements. This was the first company who actually came out to take measurements. When he arrived he sat down with me and we discussed the various options and answered questions I was having difficulties obtaining from the web. Andrew knows that he has been competing with another company I am negotiating with and has been working hard to beat their quotes, and I am considering going with his company because of his effort and that they are a local company.

I had already had 3 companies come out by the time I called Axium who would be my last call out but Axium Solar was the first to actually get on the roof and measure my pitch and angle to the southern sun and also measure the amount of shade that would have an effect on my panels. Rusty Speed spent quality time answering my question and had no problem finding the answer if he did not have it available to share at the moment I asked. This was the part that was really nice. I had researched solar systems for over 2 years and my knowledge was very extensive in this field and out of the companies I meet with Rusty was the only one that could keep up with the conversation. I find it appalling that as a consumer I know more about your product than you know and Axium Solar has the best qualified salesman and installers of anyone out there so exchanging information and learning more info was a very pleasant experience. It took less than a week for the install and that also included them reinforcing my roof. They not only have the best installers but the also have carpenters and handy repair people around. They do it all so if anything is needed they have everyone to assist with the install. You know what? Don't take my word for it. Learn like I did when you call out the other so called Professional companies and see if they crawl all over you roof and give you shade analysis and talk to you about the pitch of your roof and the difference in Enphase inverters or a 1 single inverter. What will be the difference of a hot day compared to a cold day? What will be the difference in production from the summer months and the winter months? Then make your own mind up. Ask them about the monitor system that you can view to keep up with your production. What kind of warranty do you offer. Do you and your company do a complete install or do you have some 3rd party construction people come out for carpentry work and if the do a bad job do I contact you or am I stuck contacting that 3rd party? There is more to a system than someone showing up and just asking how many panels do you want up on that roof. It is a terrible feeling to pay for a 5KW system if it only produces 2KW of power because of a bad install or the installer never telling you that you have a bad pitch on your roof your limited to the open sky and you have to much shade to ever produce that much power but and quot;HEYand quot; they will probably install what ever you want anyway just so you can tell everyone you have 2KW producing 5KW system. To the companies I dealt with before Axuim that is all they cared about. I have told the Rusty over at Axuim that if they come across anyone who wants to talk to an ordinary person like myself who has no stake in the company, no alliances with a company, no family ties to the company then have that person call me. I will let you see my installation or ask what ever questions you need answered. That is how good a job they did for me. In 3 years my best bill has been $35 credit for 3 months and my highest bill has been $115 last summer. We have a 2600sq FT home and we keep it 77 degrees. Thanks Mark from Texas and a loyal Axium customer
Description of Work: Axium came out and measured the house for Panels. I stated to Rusty the representative from Axium that I needed to be able to put up enough panels to put a big dent in my electrical bills. They did a complete analysts of the roof, the weight it would support, the maximum amount of panels I could get up there. They showed me all the financial benefits I could get from Uncle Sam and Oncor. What I could expect to get as far as production from the panels and how long it would be till the system paid for itself.
