It went very well. The price was fair and I would recommend ALD.

They were really nice and very happy. We really appreciated them. They were helpful in explaining things. My husband showed up late and he politely showed him everything over again.

They did what we asked of them. I was hoping they would fix it, but they only detected it. My Dad was able to fix the problem without removing all the tile, as American Leak told us. The information they gave me was not what my Dad found. I wouldn't hire them again.

They were very good. They were very professional and very courteous. They made sure that eveything was clean. They put up plastic and drop cloths over the furniture. I would use them again if I had to.

The experience was a pleasant one from beginning to end. The person answering our phone call was attentive, answered our questions and helped us to make an appointment. The technician arrived at the arranged time, was courteous and professional. Without digging in our yard, he was able to use electronic equipment to determine the source of the leak (a broken pipe feeding one of the control valves in our sprinkler system). Although he was unable to complete the repair to the pipe on the same day (due to other appointments), the technician not only provided us information about how much it would cost to complete the repair, he was also up-front in stating that a landscape/sprinkler company might have better rates in completing the job. We were impressed with his professionalism and candor.

James was the person who came and did the job. He discovered a leak in my plumbing that was in a wall. I had installed some flooring earlier, and I put a nail in the plumbing by mistake, and that is what had caused the leak. He found the leak, and fixed it really quickly. He also fixed a problem in my rental property as well. There was a slab leak, and I had hired other plumber s in the past, and they all said that the only solution would be is to bust the slab, and fix the problem. But James did a good job, and instead of busting the slab, he re-routed it using some modern technology, and fixed the problem. My overall experience with him was good.

We contacted a lot of other companies that said we don't do it unless they have put in the pool. I was referred to them. They came in, found the crack in the skimmer line, and fix the problem. They were very good, and explained what the problem was, and how they were going to go about fixing it. They showed me the part that was cracked and replaced it.

They spent 2 hours determining where the leak of the shower was. They did a very good job in detecting where the leak was. The person who came and did the work was pretty knowledgeable. The only complaint I have is they did not offer any suggestions on how to fix it, nor they fixed it. I read in one of their advertisements that they do shower repairs, but the person who came said that they don t. My overall experience with them was satisfactory.

Imagine paying $270 for a plumber to visit your home. The plumber doesn't fix your leaks, he just tells you where they are. In a nutshell, that's what American Leak Detention does. In their defense, they never misled me about how they work. But, since they don't repair the leaks they find, they had to visit three times to find all the leaks. They were very professional about scheduling, and they were responsive. And in all honesty, if I needed to find leaks in my pool system again, I'd probably call them again. But the first visit, they spent less than an hour here; they told me where the leaks were; and I had to pay another $94 to buy the parts and I had to fix the first set of leaks myself. It seems expensive and unfair to set a $270 cost for an hour's survey work. And the first time they quoted me $395 for the entire electronics survey -- which they indicated was probably not needed. But throughout this entire lengthy transaction, I felt taken advantage of.

Called American Leak Detection after having a bad experience with a previous "chuck in a truck" type company. I thought based on the reviews here on Angie's List that there was a pretty good chance I'd have a better experience with ALD. At this point I wasn't even concerned that ALD's price was twice that of the last guy. I just wanted to get the job done. I took off work to meet the plumber between 1-2. At 2:15 I got a call saying the plumber was still on a previous job and he'd be leaving in 20 minutes to come to our house. They told me he should be at my house by 3:00. I had to go back to work so I had my wife leave her job to meet the plumber. At 3:30 the plumber was still not at our house. I called ALD at they were actually surprised that he was not at our house. They'd assumed he had already gotten there. After placing me on hold and calling the plumber they discovered that he was still at the previous location and asked me If i would like to reschedule. At this point I canceled my appointment. I guess I'll be trying my luck with a 3rd company.

He seemed to be very knowledgeable, and we were very pleased with him. He was very straightforward and honest about the repairs that needed to be made. They guarantee that they will find the leak or else you don't pay anything.

The people were great. They have what would be considered to be really modern equipment. They were honest, polite, and they were on time. They really never solved my particular problem, as I more or less figured it out by myself when we were looking at everything.

Two other companies could not find the leak and one pool company recommended American Leak Detection. Leak was more extensive than we had hoped, but it was fixed within the week and we have not had a problem since. Technician was so nice and helpful. When I didn't understand what he was talking about, he offered to call my husband later and explain it to him.

The technician was very good. He was very upfront about the options and the cost. He took time to listen to me and he talked about what he was going to do to determine the leak. He walked me through the process. They had a 9:00 appointment and were here at 8:50, so I was pleased about that. They did what they needed to in the time frame they gave. I made an appointment to have them come back and do the repair as well.

I took off work to meet the plumber between 12-1. At 1:30, I got a call saying they would be late and would probably be there around 3:00 or we could reschedule. Already wasting my precious time off work, I declined to reschedule and refused to wait. The plumber said they wouldn't be late again, but I don't have the time to see if they'd come through.

The service rep was scheduled within 3 days of my initial call to the company. He performed extensive tests to accurately locate the leaks. He arrived on time, was courteous and informative, and made me feel more comfortable about what had to be fixed and when. His return visit to fix the major leak was on time, and he completed the majority of the work that day. He returned the next day to complete the replacement of the pool deck area that he had to cut out.

Another service provider came out and couldn't correct the problem American leak detection came out and detected the problem within a half an hour. They found the problem and I did the repairs. I will use them again and recommend them to others.

Only one word can say it all and that is AWESOME! American Leak and all of their employees have definitely taken the time to learn what customer service is all about and they do this as easily and naturally as they breathe. Both the detection technician & the repair technician were polite, neat, considerate and extremely efficient. Confirmation calls were made before both visits, a customer service follow up call was made after the initial visit (& I am sure I will get a follow up call now that the work is done). The repair technician was extremely careful and very neat in his work. He took time to analyze how best to run the new line to minimize the amount of dry wall to be cut out. You never would have known that a plumber had run a new line in the house if not for the small hole in my wall. Best yet, the cost was REDUCED from the original estimate. An absolutely superb, customer oriented business! I would deal with this company again in a heart beat. Thanks.

They found the source of the leak and were able to fix it. We haven't had any more problems with it leaking since. They made a lot of dust when they had to keep drilling the bathroom floor. The leak did end up causing foundation problems but they did come right away and they worked quickly to find the problem.

I am very pleased. They did not have to tear into any walls or anything. They were very professional. It only took 20 minutes for them to do the plumbing, but, it took five hours for them to do all the digging. I got a two year warranty on it as well. They also provided me with good information. They told me that whoever built the house did not wrap the pipes properly so now I am trying to do something about that.

THE REPRESENTATIVE ARRIVED ON TIME, AND DETERMINED THE CAUSE RATHER QUICKLY. THEY COMPLETED THE EXTENSIVE REPAIRS WITHOUT DIFFICULTY, AND ALSO CLEANED UP THEIR MESS.

AMERICAN LEAK DETECTION DID A FINE JOB. THEY LOCATED THE LEAK IN A TIMELY MANNER. THEY REPAIRED IT ADEQUATELY. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM.
