Purchased Asko washer & dryer From American TV Feb 3 2000. 1st repair Nov. 2001 on washer to remove restriction. At this time we purchased a 5 year warranty for $125.66. Good thing we did. 2nd repair, Oct. 02, replace 2 rollers & 1 drum in dryer. 3rd repair Dec. 02 replace belt in dryer. 4th repair, Jan. 03 replace rollers & idler pulley. 5th repair, Feb. 03 replaced thermostat, drum cylinder, drum seal, motor & 2nd thermostat. 6th repair, March 2004 replace fuse, fuse holder, fuse hub and belt. 7th repair, Feb. 2005 replace motor, timer and belt in washer. 8th repair, changed drum and belt dryer again. 9th Sept 06 change motor and rollers in dryer. 10th and final replace timer Oct 06. Warranty will run out. Purchased new washer from American. This initial cost of washer dryer was approximately $1,400.00. Warranty is about to run out. Purchased new Whirlpool Duet washer dryer from American. They were sympathetic and we bought them at cost. Wrote letter to Asko they said, TOUGH.
