7 Star Appliance Service

Did a poor job during diagnosis and seemed like they were not trying to replicate the issue. I could have saved the time and trouble by providing the error codes as I already had them. After he left a new error code came up reflecting an issue with my water supply. What was done to my washer? Also moved around my dryer knocking off the exhaust vent. Would not value service from here again as now I have to fix my water line and exhaust vent. I would have more value diagnosing with my warranty company myself.

Had bad experience with 7 star company. Service man came late and was unable to diagnose the problem due to his claim that frig is turned off. I would appreciate if company told us prior to his arrival to keep frig turned on. So, he wanted to get paid for undue service. I called office second day to get another technician. When I called the second day, I was unable to get service from and they told me to contact the manufacturing company on warranty that is already expired few years. I wasted time and money with 7 Star company. I do not appreciate they ask for money on incomplete service and I do not know what is wrong with my frig. I strongly recommend that you do not deal with them.

Idiot misdiagnosed problem with dishwasher. Came out again and guessed something else. Wrong again because dishes still dirty. OneGuard Warranty sent them out. Makes me want to terminate contract with them. This company is a man and his wife. Neither speak English very well either.

Absolutely horrible and slow service the gal on the phone was so disrespectful that I had to tell her that she will not talk to me that way. They first came out misdiagnosed my dishwasher then had to come out again to re-diagnosed it. Only to discover it was the same problem as the first time it was never fixed. Then they said they would call me on Monday. I had to call them back on Thursday. Then they finally scheduled me and told me they would be here in 10 to 15 minutes which they weren’t and then I asked if they can wait 5 minutes for appointment number 4 and she started yelling at me which is when I finally had enough. Notified company they are not allowed at my house. Job was never finished completely.

Our refrigerator stopped cooling the week of Thanksgiving. I called 7 Star Appliance and a technician came that same day and diagnosed a failed computer board. One was ordered by 7 Star but not delivered for several days by the supplier. A 7 Star technician then went to Ft. Worth and picked one up himself, installing it the same evening so we would not have a prolonged delay in repair. It worked perfectly. 7 Star was very professional and competent and considerate. We now have a go-to applianced repair service for any future problems.

Very professional, prompt service. Gave me tips on how to clean garbage disposal, dish washer and refrigerator regularly to keep them operating properly.

We use them only because they're part of our home warranty association. It was a very good price. If I had their phone number, I wouldn't hesitate to call them for any services.

Our oven broke and we have a home warranty through Fidelity. We called Fidelity on Friday, and Seven Star came out on Saturday. Very polite and professional service. I am embarrassed to say what the problem was, but needless to say it was an easy fix that he diagnosed immediately. We have used Seven Star before through Fidelity on another appliance and they fixed it no problem. They were even nice enough to solve a clothes dryer issue that we had that turned out not to be the dryer but a ventilation issue. They recommended a chimney sweep to us that they have used before to fix our problem. Thanks Sam at Seven Star!

I emailed my home warranty company around 7 am on 2/27/15 and I heard from Seven Star around 830 am. The snow storm was just beginning and the company was trying to fit me in before early afternoon because the news stations were forecasting unusually heavy wintry weather. I could not take off to meet them as I had to work at my office as much as I could that morning and told them that Monday would be fine. I also told them that, if they could work me in after lunch, then I would probably be working from home at that time but, again, reiterated that if the roads were bad then I could wait until Monday. To my surprise I heard from the company around 230 and they asked if I was home (I was) and if the tech could drop by to fix my dryer since I was the last stop and it was on the way back to the office. I said, of course, and he came and had to take apart my dryer to get to the rollers (the source of all the high pitched noises). He did not finish until 4 pm and I thanked the tech and the company several times as I feel they went over and above what most companies would or could do in the unusually heavy snowy weather that Dallas does not experience often. Am very pleased with their service and attitude. I received a call from their office the next day to check to make sure the dryer working ok and I thanked them again. I will also say I did not have any trouble understanding or communicating with the tech or their office. I thought they acted very professionally and did everything they could to fix my dryer on the same day I called in with the problem despite all of the travel issues due to the snow.

After initial visit, part had to be ordered. More than a week later part was installed on second visit. Ice maker produced one batch of ice then no more. Called company, they said the freezer temp was too low. We adjusted it but now the ice maker makes ice one day not another. Still not sure what is going on. Agree with other reviewers that repair man's accent is so thick that communication was difficult. Had to ask him to repeat himself many times.

The hot water hose on my washer tore on New Year's Eve and needed to be replaced. The home warranty company sent 7-Star out to replace both hoses, but the repairman could only connect them to the washer as the other ends (connected to the faucets) had corroded. I had to have a plumber come out to finish the job because the repairman was afraid he would break the faucets. (NOTE: I purchased my own hoses because they only do standard rubber hoses, and I wanted stainless steel ones.)

Stepson's dishwasher would not work. He had a home warranty contract that came with house purchase. Repairman met my wife there, fiddled with water supply under sink, appliance began to work. Very heavy accent, almost impossible to understand--told my wife water was turned off. It hadn't been turned off. My stepson called him and got a different story. The dishwasher works, but we're not sure why (or how long before it quits again). And getting two stories (and hard to understand either) doesn't inspire confidence. My stepson won't be using them again.

Horrible! They quickly came out on 6/17 and informed us that they would need to order a part and would be back on 6/21 or 6/22. On that Saturday, they replaced the dryer and did a flush. It seemed to work but on Sunday, the temperatures went back up. When we called, they stated that they do not work 7 days and it's a Sunday. They came the following Monday to replace the freon and check for leaks. Then realized it was the compressor. After they ordered the part, they were able to fix the fridge on Friday 6/28. The service person was very nice and professional. The receptionist was pleasant but difficult to understand over the phone. It was a complete disappointment that the work wasn't done right the first time.

I have found my appliance repair and quot;go-toand quot; company. Seven Star was wonderful! They shopped for the best price for the parts and got it! They are professional in every respect and keep in contact throughout the process. It is obvious that they take pride in their work and they have every reason to be proud of their work.

We purchased an old house that came with an Antique Chambers stove (circa 1950). This massive old stove would light, but the pilot lights wouldn't stay on, leading to a small amount of gas leaking the house. Seven Star Appliance Repair came out the very next day (Saturday) after we called. The technician spent about 90 minutes examining, cleaning, and replacing the pilot lights and was able to restore them to working order, eliminating the gas leaks. Only complaint is that the pricing was not transparent. The lady I spoke to on the phone said it would be $50 for the visit (waived if we had work done), but didn't explain how much it would cost per hour or job after that. That said, $135 is a bargain compared to the other company who quoted us $1600!

He came out at no cost. I had to chose between him and another company, so I went with the cheaper price. However, I really liked his honesty, and I would definitely consider calling him again.
