Two workers came and I explained the problem. One dove in (5 ft) the lake, pulled out the intake bulb, and presumably fixed the problem in 15 mins. Was about to leave but stopped them because of the 'noise' I consider a problem. It was. Water not being sucked in. The problem continued. Sprinklers not working. Meanwhile, one guy was just standing and waiting, a 'runner', who took one tool in their car for the primary worker. Problem continued, i.e., priming, standing, watching, and turning the faucet on and off for almost 2 1/2 hrs.. Finally, decided to change the whole intake bulb per the manager of the store. Solved the intake bulb. Invoice came for almost $300. Questioned the invoice esp the hours involved, the one person standing by but included in the invoice, and the invoice for the intake bulb. Also questioned the costs for replacing sprinkle heads that took them only 10 minutes to replace. When told I was watching the workers the whole time and questioned the invoice, their ability, license, etc. manager lowered the cost to $200.00. However, the principle is more important. If not questioned, over billing would have prevailed. Letter of dissatisfaction was mailed with the check.

Overcharged on the bulb, charged one just standing by, charged $75.00 for service call when only 12-miles in between store and my house.
