TREE SYSTEMS

Consultation exceeded expectations. Robert answered all of my questions regarding treatment of a huge broken tree branch, approx. 2 ft. diameter that came off a 150+ year old Post Oak tree last week. Surprisingly the breakage point of the branch only had little evidence of decay in the center, so the weight and the extreme weather pattern of the past years must have contributed to the breakage. His recommendation to leave the remaining part of the broken branch as is seemed logical as it is too large in diameter to be able to heal itself and there are no structures beneath it to be damaged if it does fall at some point. As we agreed to this approach, he was kind enough to walk with me to look at several other trees nearby, assessing damage and providing his advice for treatment. Although I don?t consider myself a novice with trees, I learned so much! He explained that the bark damage I was concerned about with some of the younger trees, was due to the way the trees were facing when grown in the nursery vs. how they were facing when planted. The sun can scald the bark, if not protected. Since there is not a good way to tell which way a newly purchased tree should face, a bio-degradable bandage should be used to wrap the young tree?s trunk at the time of planting to prevent sun damage to the bark. He also showed me how older trees are able to heal themselves if damaged and what not to do in an attempt to help the tree heal. Common sense made me believe that Mother Nature takes care of most of this without our interference, but it was very re-assuring to hear the same from a tree expert. Robert also recommended a better way to hang a wooden swing we had secured on a huge oak tree branch. Last but not least, he suggested to use a similar technique to continue with what I thought was a desperate attempt to save a young pecan tree that broke in the middle of the trunk, losing nearly ¼ of its total trunk diameter from severe winds this past spring. Robert was surprised by the amount and size of pecans the tree carries despite the damage, so now I feel more confident that it actually may have a chance. When ready to pay for the extremely helpful consutation which took over an hour, there was no charge.

I've used them before. To me it's a little pricey.

Tree removal A++! At first, the stump grinder could not fit through my gate. The crew was able to remove a portion of the fence and ground the stump. So happy for that! Pruning A+++, excellent! The crew listened and the trees look best ever!

They were very accurate, did a wonderful job and they cleaned up at the end of the day. They were very thorough, did a great job and very careful. It's the second time I used them and I would use them again in the future.

He came out the same day that I called him for the quote, within hours to be exact. Then he came back this past Monday to clean everything up. I left that morning for work with a huge mess in he backyard. I came home from work and it was like Houdini! Everything was cleaned up and they did a magnificent job. He deserves an A+ for sure. Robert's prices were the most competitive compared to 4 other providers that I had called. He got the job done with no questions or hesitation. He has the type of equipment that was needed for such an enormous job. The job seemed so large, that I had neighbors offering to chip in to help pay to get the tree cleaned up! But Robert got the job done within a day.

The arborist met us for a detailed consultation on what we wanted done. He wrote detailed notes for his crew, and they came on the dates scheduled and executed the plan. Everything went very well, however we were not home to supervise and there were a few things we might have done differently. Overall the service performed exactly as requested.

The crew was here on time. Two separate crews. Did work as promised. Was reasonably priced. Cleaned up afterwards. Was good

Perfect. They showed up on time, worked diligently until the entire tree was down, cut up, and hauled away. The only problem I had was making the appointment. I first emailed and waited a week, but no response to my inquiry. I called and was told the arborist was not in the office but she took my number and told he would call. He did, we missed each other. It took about a week for us to connect. So, two weeks lost, but once we connected, everything was great and they were very professional. They did excellent work and I would definitely hire them again.

I contacted five different tree services from the list. All were very courteous and professional. Tree Systems was not the least expensive, but they had done work for us in the past. When I called for the service to be performed, they were able to schedule me within five days. They showed up at the house an hour early. Service was performed in the time estimated. They cleared the yard of all debree. We are very pleased with their service and would recommend to anyone.

Quote was very smooth, detailed, and in writing. Estimator went around and discussed trees and exactly we wanted. Scheduled work for a couple of weeks out when a crew would be working on our street. My recollection was that the estimator said they would call us to let me know exact time to expect them, but that didn't happen. We called them that morning, and the office said it would be after lunch. They finished the job in about half the time our previous service. They cleaned up and raked, and even fished tree material out of our pool--which we didn't expect them to do. Trees look great with nice, clean cuts. Overall impression was that they were a quality outfit that did exactly what we needed and requested.

It went great and we had no problems. They were very professional and knew what they were doing.

OVERALL, I WOULD VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ALL WHO WANT GREAT SERVICE, A KNOWLEDGEABLE CREW AND A REASONABLE PRICE! Jack Chennault, Certified Arborist, came (same day) to provide an estimate for the pruning of over 40 trees and the removal of 3 dead trees on our 1 acre property. These trees all appeared as though there hadn't been any pruning in years. Most of them had significant amounts of mistletoe and dead branches on them. We were expecting an astronomical estimate so $3982.00 seemed very reasonable to us for the amount of work that needed to be done and were impressed with their prompt response for an estimate so we agreed to their services. Mr. Chennault initially felt 2-1/2 to 3 days would be needed to complete the job. As the pruning progressed Mr. Chennault always consulted us concerning additional work that should be done. There was quite a bit of extra work we agreed to have done, including an additional dead tree removal. It took almost 5 days with a crew varying from 3 to 6 men. Our initial estimate had cited a service option of having a 3-man crew for 8 hours costing $1353.00. We worried that with the extra days and extra manpower that our $3982.00 estimate would soon become twice that amount. We were not going to change boats in midstream and decided to just pay whatever the bill was going to be and use a different service next time. When all the work was done, we held our breath and waited for the bill. The grand total was $4032!!! The only additional charge on the bill was the tax!! I can't say enough good things about this man and his crew. They climbed every tree with ropes and ladders (no cherry pickers or other equipment tearing up the yard), carefully pruned every branch all the way to the top, and they didn't just pick up the debris but raked the entire yard. It looked so much better than the job my regular yard crew does weekly. The wood chipper didn't seem any louder than hearing a mowing crew in the yard. They would collect the debris then run the chipper for about 15 minutes at a time every couple of hours. The crewmen were all very friendly, knowledgeable and most of them had years of experience. There was minimal disruption to my day having them here. They were also very careful not to let our dogs out of the yard while they were working. Again, I would highly recommend this company and crew for doing a GREAT JOB.
