Cabella Brothers Lawn Care

We hired Abe Cabella to mow our lawn, edge, etc. and to provide upkeep to our landscaping. He charged us $45 for each mowing, and that would include pulling weeds, trimming shrubs when needed. First, I am not sure of the date he provided service for us. They did not keep up with the shrubs or weeds, and I would tell them when they were here, and they would say they didn't have the tools they needed or they would have to come back. Sometimes they would and sometimes they wouldn't. atAlso, I was in my office watching the guy mowing. He was riding a lawn mower. What? On our lawn? (Later I found out from our sprinkler company that a few of our sprinkler heads were broken. He asked me if someone mowed our lawn using a riding mower. I said yes. He said that's why the sprinkler heads were broken. He could tell by how they head were broken. That cost us a bit of money to have repaired, even though Cabella Brothers used a riding mower. One day as I was watching the guy on the riding mower right outside my window, I saw him reach down, pick up something off the ground. It was a wadded up piece of paper. After he looked at the paper, he threw it back down on the ground. Wow! I could not believe he did that. We then found a company that does what we wanted that charges a lot less money, and they actually do the work. Also, when we first started with Abe Cabella, he came out to look at our lawn to give us an estimate. At that time, our overhead flourescent light went out in the laundry room. I asked him if he could replace it for us. He said he would replace it for me, but he would charge $10. What??? No thanks. Then he said if I went with his company to do the lawn, he would replace it and not charge me. So I agreed to that. After he changed the light he asked me for the $10 which I stupidly gave him. I will not be using his services again.

We have been customers with them for about 3 months. The owner is very easy to work with and the workers are very unobtrusive and they will pick up toys in my yard without any complaints.

They were very reasonable and good. They were punctual.
