BRIGHTWELL FENCE and WELDING CO

This was a difficult experience and took too long. Our backyard was unsecure for weeks waiting for completion of the project. Mr. Brightwell is a nice man and very experienced in fencing. However, his management and communication skills could improve. We wish him the best in the future but will not personally hire him again.

Jack at Bright or Brightwell Fence was considerably lower cost than others I called. He seems to have done a good enough job, but just didn't show up when he said he would. We agreed on the start of the job on a Tuesday, he said he could have the job done that Thursday, but it took another week and a half - which doesn't seem that long, except when you have a large dog needing a yard. The point really was that he just didn't show up when he said he would, so I would call him and he'd say he'd show up the next day and then didn't, so I'd call again, an hear another excuse. After it was completed we noticed there was a lot of room under the gate, so said he could add a piece of iron at the bottom, (so our puppy couldn't get under it) - but he never returned. I'd already paid him, so I guess he didn't need to bother with it.

Jack came out on the day and at the time he said he would, discussed the job with me, took measurements, and left a written quote. We scheduled the work, which he started and completed as scheduled. He did the work personally, with the help of his teenaged son. I was particularly pleased with the care he took in aligning and setting the new posts. The finished appearance of the fence is quite good - notched cedar pickets.
